@orphia . . awesome recapped, enjoyed the read. Kudos on reaching your goal! I followed you on strava . . doubt you'll see any 50k runs on my account . . lol @orphia & @TiisTitanium . . did five sets of planks - wall-walk - handstands, holding the handstand for 30-40 sec's. Wasn't perfectly vertical but happy with how it…

@orphia . . wow 50k, I'm totally impressed. I've always had the crazy goal of running a full marathon but I can't seem to wrap my brain around 26 miles, let alone 50k (31 miles). Training for a HM in Sept, trying to break 2:15. I ran a race in May, it was a week after a bad traffic accident and my ribs were killing me,…

Just curious . . . @orphia . . . how many miles do you run a week? I probably average about 15-25 depending on my schedule, working on a HM training plan right now. Are you training for a race?

@orphia and @TiisTitanium . . . you make this look easy. I have to say this is very challenging. Been working on the initial movements and exercises using a wall. I need to improve my core strength for sure. Enjoying the challenge . . thanks for inspiration and support.

Count me in . . I definitely have to try this. Looks really hard but I love a challenge.

Desk jockey here too .. engineering project manager (blah, blah, blah, LOL) average over 10k steps a day though. Sounds very challenging .. 180 pushups .. the laughing / mocking coworkers might be more challenging. Add me as a friend if you'd like.

This is a really cool thread, I'd like to join. Love the motivation. Put me down for 24 hours. Training for a HM in May.

Slow runners make faster runners look good . . your welcome! One mile is one mile . . who cares how fast.

Yes, the battery life on the apple watch is really limited. I charge mine every other night. Funny . . recently died mid-run, forgot to charge it the night before. Was having a good day, felt good . . thought maybe I could set a new 10k PR . . and of course it died at 4.8 miles. LOL

Never much of an apple watch fan but when they came out with the LTE version . . I was in. Really happy with the purchase. Nice leaving the phone at home as opposed to always having it strapped to my arm logging my workouts. Logged multiple long runs over two hours (strava app) with no battery life issues. Really shines in…

Woohoo! Actually exceeded my monthly goal (50 miles) with 57 miles in February. Hopefully the snow and ice is behind us now . . we'll see. Please put me down for 70 in March. Happy running everyone!

Can I join the party? Put me down for 50 . . need to get serious with my HM training. Running the Indy-mini on May 6th, about 13 weeks out now. Good luck to everyone and happy running!

Runkeeper's is a free running app with free training plans. The HM plans start out at sub 2:30 . . . not sure if that matches your pace goal or not. Good luck!
-
Love this . . age is just a number. Myself, 49 going on 35.
-
Back for more . . put me down for 60. Missed my millage goal last month, good thing I didn't get kicked out of the running club . . lol. Happy running everyone!

Exactly, +1 on the corn chips. According to the brand I buy, seven corn chips is 140 calories, add a little humus - 60 calories and bam! great snack for 200 calories.

Thanks for your input! Congrats on your first marathon this Sunday and good luck! Please post an update, I'd be curious to see how you felt at the finish line compared to the 21 mile in training.

Thanks for the advice. Major respect for your two-time Ironman finishes. I can't even begin to wrap my mind around running a marathon after swimming and biking those distances. I have a really good friend that done about ten races, think he's done Kona 3 or 4 times. I see him on my morning runs all the time, goes around me…

My main goal is to stay active through the winter months so that I'll be in a good position for next year. I don't have any doubts about covering the HM distance. I ran a 10k race this weekend and felt really strong, the second half of the race was my fastest 5k which was a good feeling. Appreciate your input. This might…

Valid question on the time commitment. I’ve definitely thought about it. I typically run in the early mornings before work, so my workouts stay around an hour. I've ran consecutive days before without any issues, figured that would need to happen on a regular basis to increase my millage. Then usually a longer run on…

Congrats! Nice goal to work on. I like the free training plans on runkeepers, they have 5k - HM and the HM plans start at 2:30 and under depending on your pace and goal. I prefer strava as my regular training app for running but use the free plans on runkeepers as a guideline. Good luck!

Does Netflix binging count? lol

gluten-free oatmeal with a banana - 270 calories. it's boring but quick and easy.

Oh boy . . . already behind . . . lol Got to love September weather, love the cool crisp air on the early am workouts. Happy running everyone!
-
Hey everyone! Second month joining the running challenge. I'll try for 80 miles in September. Get an early start on the month with a 10k race in the morning. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck … you got this!

Hey Liz! I've used the WW app in the past, the transition to MFP will be super easy for you. Good luck!
