  • Definitely this. Starve yourself tomorrow and you will only be more likely to cave in the evening. But if you plan and pre log a day bang on the calorie goal you can feel satisfied and back in control
  • I was always a burger and a pint girl if eating out, that's a whole days calories gone now lol
  • I've just completed 2 weeks alcohol free to teach myself that I don't have to binge drink with them. Aiming for another week and half when I have a week off work starting in the hope I will maintain some of the willpower!
  • There's certainly no hiding a loss like that - and nor would you want to! I just feel a bit self conscious I think - I have ALWAYS been a burger and a pint kinda girl and now find myself trying to find a balance that isn't so calorific but isn't something that will invite the questions - but I don't know why I care!
  • Of course, it isn't something I would sit in the pub and discuss. I am thinking more along the lines of people you regularly eat with and whether you explain the sudden change in the choices you are making.
  • That's got to be frustrating @bluespark278 !! My mum is amazing, but she is also trying to shed some weight herself so certainly wouldn't be judgy. I hadn't seen her for a few weeks until last Thursday and she noticed I lost weight so I told her about it - she then sat and looked up the app (whether she has used it I don't…
  • On one hand I am glad it's not just me, but on the other - isn't it really quite sad that people in general can take issue with someone just trying to make themselves a healthier version of them!
  • (I am a lager girl at heart but have actually got to the point I really enjoy the clear spirits on a night now)
  • Hendricks and light fevertree tonic with a slice of cucmber <3 Vodka, soda and lime Sometimes I just have a soda and lime on the sly so nobody knows and I save even more lol
  • @simon1240 just to be clear, I like that you commented not that you are injured! Hope you aren't facing too long a recovery time
  • @cjw8585 I bloody love Leeds! I shall add you all when my phone stops being shite!
  • @Delann17 this is the post I mentioned, you might find these experiences interesting
  • Done :) thank you
  • I have 1300, but aim for 1200 in the week so would love to share diaries too. I'm 5ft with 3 stone ish to lose
  • There's a thread on one of the boards about ww @Delann17 - the two don't mix very well! It's either on the getting started or the losing weight board.
  • I'll send a request now :)
  • This has just come back to the top after I posted one myself! I'm happy to be added too. If it helps to know circumstances, I'm almost 32 trying to lose 2-3 stone, and a complete exercise novice!
  • I get two buses each way for work at the moment which takes ages. I can't carry my work things and work out gear and by the time I get home can't face it anyway. Once I get a new car I plan on joining the gym near work so I can go for half hour after work. At the moment all I manage is to walk to further bus stops if I…
  • I echo the previous post. One day isn't going to ruin everything. Just load the plate mostly with veggies and you will be fine. You could cut back 100 per day for the rest of the week to give an extra cushion if it would make you feel more relaxed. Besides even if you go over still, you'll see a downward trend over the…
  • I did ok on pro points but eventually let it back on, was smart points when I rejoined and I didn't get on with that at all! I'm finding this so much simpler. I pay for premium (the yearly subscription was about the cost of a couple of takeaways for me and my boyfriend so easily justified in my eyes and way less than ww…
  • I would probably choose to give a best guess while on vacation and hope that while it wouldn't be accurate, I'd still be within maintenance. To he honest I'd even take a gain if it meant not spending my holiday restricting myself too much! It's more about getting back on track as soon as you get home, you would be very…
  • These are why I did it. The year sub is only a couple of take aways which is how I justified it!
  • Yep
  • 900 Cal's would leave me craving carbs! I have learnt from experience. 1200 is the minimum I can feel happy on. I love bread and pasta so I log those first. I log my entire day in advance during the week when I need to be organised in order not to reach for the take away menu after work anyway. If you log the carbs first…
  • I love pasta. I make 4 portions of Bolognese out of 500g mince beef for around 200 Cal's each and have 250-300 Cal's pasta. Once upon a time my portions of both were double at least but I usually find this fine now. If I'm feeling really hungry I might have a salad starter first.
  • Seems to happen to most women some time around then. I know some who only weigh every two weeks or every month for that reason. I just make a note of it if gains are around totm
  • I love this story. We are all worth the time! I have never thought about walking on a treadmill for some reason, now I want one so there is no excuse on crappy weather days!
  • You wouldnt have needed to start counting them if it was really that hard. You can add calories without using junk (full fat cheese or yogurt, handful of nuts and dried fruit, more fruit rather than veg). If you are consistently eating below it might be a good idea to use nutrition goals too.
  • Its funny how different we all are isnt it, I have decided to count calories because I think that's thing I'm most likely to be able to carry on doing! But it's awesome that you've found something that works for you - what amazing results!
  • If you arent worries about weight, stop weighing and measure instead!
