oh definitely, I'm already trying to increase my protein - and it's a real struggle because I seem to not enjoy the foods that are the most rich in protein, hah (apart from liver, for some reason I really like the taste of that) I'm taking me getting to 100% of my protein target (looking at the default ratios mfp gave me)…

thanks :) I guess I just start second guessing myself.. I was so hoping more exercise would let me lose weight and eat a bit more while doing it and I guess I'm a little bit disappointed at the moment I've lost these same 25lbs + more before (though I was 6-7 years younger), also through calorie counting and 1200-1300 a…

I measure and log literally everything including my usual 30g of milk in my coffee and I log my diet drinks (5cal or so per can), apart from maybe eyeballing stuff like plain raw lettuce I can't think of anything that could be "off" (and calorie dense) enough to destroy several hundred calories worth of a deficit.. I even…

I have PCOS, I'm losing at a pretty slow rate (think it's taken me about 2 months to go down 2-3lbs on an average of 1200 net calories), but it's still progress + I'm short and only maybe 6lbs overweight... 8lbs is great! it's not slow at all :) I wouldn't worry about it I've lost a large amount of weight before just…

I'm pear shaped, squats didn't make my legs bigger, exercise just made my legs more firm I'm working towards that again and I'm not avoiding squats or lunges etc at all :) I don't think I looked bulky - mind you, what made my lower body look thinner, in the end, was just a lower weight and body fat % overall:

I love coffee... but I don't drink it before working out, it has a tendency to make me feel sick or give me heartburn
-
If I'm really sore I take a day off or just go for a walk, or maybe do some light yoga The soreness should go away after a few times, just take it easy and don't overdo it if it's a completely new routine :) Better to take it slow than getting discouraged, or worse - injuring yourself If you're really set on some kinda…

I think it comes down to personal preference (visually) and where you feel healthy/strong I'm a little bit shorter than you and I looked (and felt) too thin at what you said google told you your "ideal" weight was - I don't think I'm built for it.. personally I felt best around 120lbs, maybe 125lbs... which was right in…

I have a smaller lunch, and I tend to have a snack around 4pm... I then like to eat dinner as my main meal of the day around 8pm, if I eat too early I get hungry again before I go to bed because I rarely sleep before 1am

My scale is barely moving so I'm relying on my photos/measurements atm... I'm averaging about 1200-1300 calories a day and if I looked just at weight I'd be feeling pretty depressed right now... (read: I've lost maybe 1/2 of what mfp predicted, even though I weigh everything and I'm for the most part not eating back…

after posting on FB about how happy I was with the (roughly) 50lbs weight loss : "you know you're still not thin right?"

My periods randomly disappear for anywhere between 2-6 months, my hair goes through periods of falling out, and I need laser hair removal on my neck and chin a couple of times a year Weight loss unfortunately never seemed to make it any better for me, not even when I (at one point) dropped from a BMI of 36 to a BMI of 20 I…

either body composition or the difference in sizing, or a combination of both? I've tried on my grandma's old dresses and some of my mom's old skirts, I'm like 1-2 sizes bigger in stuff from the early 80s than what I normally buy (at least going by the rather small sample of the stuff I've tried on)

5'2-5'3 I'm currently around 66kg my measurements are 85-72-104 (yup, my hips are pretty big compared to my upper body)
-
I know I felt a lot different at roughly the same weight before working out vs after starting exercise... *major* difference in appearance, so could be an issue of body fat vs muscle? or just being unhappy with how your weight is distributed - I know I personally feel like my lower body looks "overweight" until I hit a…

Any kinda fever, "my nose and lungs are making it hard to breathe" and anything bad enough to give me the feeling of overall weakness? I skip or just stretch/walk... I've tried to push through what I thought was "just a small cold" before, I usually ended up misjudging, having a **** workout, and was then sick for a whole…

about 10kg when heavier, then maybe 5kg per dress size when close to/at normal BMI it just took me about a 6kg loss to drop 1 size (jeans - same model, same store) - with a BMI that's currently around 26

salty food? not.. uh... "going" as regularly as usual? new exercise routine? if you're a woman - that time of the month? any of those will easily make me temporarily gain up to 5lbs
-
I've done Insanity in combination with yoga before, which I guess is similar-ish.. I'd DIE on 1200 calories and that activity level and I'm roughly same height and a similar goal weight - if nothing else you might eventually notice your energy levels drop during exercise (I know I personally felt like I wasn't getting a…

aaah, apologies, I think I misread 10 as 16 (which is roughly when *I* was last measured, I think)

cashews, brazil nuts - not salted though, the only stuff I like salted is pistachios

maybe a bit off topic: but your doctors really measure you every time? I'm 27, the last time someone measured me was when I was still a teenager and it was a school checkup (eyesight, weight, height, dentist kinda thing)... I was weighed when I went to get my thyroid and hormones (for PCOS) checked out and when I got BC…

At my biggest I was in EU size 50 (at roughly 200-205lbs, I've been measured as 5'2-5'3), at my smallest I was a size 36, maybe 34 (around 110lbs), At the moment I'm mostly a EU 40 at 145-146lbs, depending on the store/how stretchy the jeans. My waist got really tiny at my lowest weight but my hips are naturally fairly…

I think I'm gonna try and borrow my mother's scales (digital and old fashioned) and see if mine matches what those show me... if mine's off then I guess it's time to replace it oh yeah, oatmeal is great for breakfast, I love soaking it overnight and eating it cold in the morning, sometimes with bananas :)
-
the only thing that ever changed my waist/hip ratio was that one year that I got *really* into working out and I guess my body fat % dropped a lot while my weight barely changed my mom also has really wide hips and a fairly small waist and the ratio seems pretty constant even when she loses or gains some weight
-
right. progress photo time and I'm getting convinced my scale is broken (it's pretty old) & I'm about ready to throw it out the window and go back to just keeping a photo journal.. this can't possibly be only a 1-2lb loss right? (I wear a lot of loose/stretchy clothes in general so don't necessarily notice size…

That my family and a couple of friends weren't right when they told me I couldn't eat dinners and still lose weight, and that I should eliminate whole food groups... one friend for example swore she could only lose weight on some weird lettuce, grapefruit, egg diet?... (dinner is something I still argue about, skipping…

this is my exercise log for the past month or so.. the really low calorie days are yoga days which I don't really count as "exercise" but log for consistency
-
yeah it was literally making me feel dizzy and like I was about to throw up just by getting out of bed or walking... I mean, I've heard of "keto flu" but I was never quite sure if what I experienced was normal or if my body just really can't tolerate it well
-
thanks, will have a look... had some bad experience with low carb years ago, but might be worth a 2nd try (basically went through 2 weeks of constantly feeling sick and unable to work out, then got some overly concerned speech from a doctor because I happened to have a physical exam one of those weeks and they seemed to…
