  • Minimalist Baker has tons of vegan recipes!!! https://minimalistbaker.com/cheesy-roasted-broccoli-chickpea-kale-salad/ This is one of my favorites! So easy and delicious!!
  • Smashbox Cali Contour is my new favorite everything! I use it for my eyes, bronzer, blush, highlighter and I love it! I am a lipgloss addict-the one thing I truly indulge in and have lots of--my two faves are Victoria Secret lipgloss in Candy Baby and Fenty Gloss Bomb in Sweetmouth, but Ulta Jelly Gloss Lip Gels are nice,…
  • Look up feel good foodie protein baked oats! It is like eating a bowl of oatmeal and it is filling and healthy and yummy! I add more protein powder than it calls for and I choose the 3x size of the recipe and make in an 8x8 pan that I divide into 4 servings of 2 squares each. On non-training days when I am trying to eat…
  • @k8richly Glute Guy is Bret Contreras Just sending that along quickly while I have a minute!
  • @BaDaSsBrUnEtTe I am working with a coach right now after going solo for a few years. Danny Matranga is his name. He offers app coaching as well and has a free 7 day trial if you want to check him out. If you want to connect with me, I also have a few resources I have saved that I can share with you! Soooo good to get back…
  • hi @Italiana_xx79 I just started working with Danny Matranga about a month ago and I am really pleased so far. I know he offers some different type of coaching options so you may want to look into what he offers. Hope that helps!
  • I love this thread!!! Learning from it all and so nice to know I am not alone! @k8richly I wonder if maybe your form is off? What exercises specifically cause your back to hurt? I would suggest trying to do bodyweight glute bridges a few days a week to start activating your glutes and getting them primed. You could then…
  • Reading through this is inspiring! My goal is to drink a lot of water to keep myself full and only enjoy the treats that are worth it over the holidays. I also plan to still hit the gym and get outside for walks as much as possible. Being able to look forward to enjoying treats with my family keeps me from eating the tons…
  • @AnnPT77 The influences are definitely there for me! Your post is inspiring and a fantastic reminder that the weight number is only as meaningful as we make it!!
  • Thank you to everyone for your input!
  • @Colorado_Mama I have been where you are and I promise that lifting will be your best bet! I also "just" wanted to lose weight but when I started lifting, I did gain some weight and did look a bit bulkier for a couple of months but eventually, it all leveled out. Try to enjoy the challenge of lifting weights if that is the…
  • @cwolfman13 That is a fantastic journey with your coach! Even though you aren't doing it anymore, I can still feel your excitement and the value he brought to your life for that time period. I love what you shared and I also think it makes sense to hire someone for that specific purpose you have. I agree that it is really…
  • @kshama2001 I am relatively fit already and have been a dedicated gym go-er lifting weights and writing my own programs and plugging away with nutrition. I am interested in a coach for helping me optimize the work I am already doing and for helping me through the mental struggles I face from time to time along the journey.…
  • That is awesome success!!! I, too, appreciate the support here! I find I do much better on my journey when I am connected here, even if I am not contributing but just reminding myself that this is a process and a continual commitment to my best self! <3 <3
  • LOVE lifting heavy weights but you will progress through it--Trust me! You will get the "toned" look you are desiring if you can stick with it and challenge your body! I have been there! I am not bulky by any means but push 35 pound dumbbells on bench press. :)
  • Shannon--awesome for you!! This is great! I would recommend getting a physical with a primary care provider and have blood work done to help determine what your body may benefit from. I am not an expert at all so I lean on those who are. Hope this helps you also! Wishing you ALL of the best on this journey to be healthier!…
  • My favorite jeans are Silver jeans. I am fit but have a booty and hips and these jeans are the only ones that fit me nicely! I am also short and they have short sizes. I also love Maurice's jeggings. I wear an XS which is by no means my real size on my bottom but these work the best. They feel like real jeans but allow me…
  • Truvani is expensive but delicious and clean and I don't find it chalky!
  • Hello @xAbiCatx :) Have you considered lifting weights at all? Are you doing your current workouts at a gym? They may have someone who can provide a free intro if you are interested. This helped me to not only lose weight but also build muscle and see some of the body composition changes I want to see. Also, 1200-1300 is…
  • @CeeBeeSlim You can look at my diary if you want. I haven't been great at tracking lately but I am getting back into the swing of things. I do supplement with protein powder twice a day to hit this!
  • @SherryRueter I will check that podcast out. I really love Living Lean, especially the episodes featuring Brandon DaCruz and I love Physique Development as well. Three more pounds!!! You are SO close! I also wonder if maybe your body is just good where it is? Sometimes I wonder why I am so fixated on a number but also know…
  • @CeeBeeSlim Thank you for telling me about this group! I am new here, though no stranger to weight loss, and I am stuck on these last 10 pounds. I look mostly good, slender and fit upperbody and middle but man....my hips and thighs hold it all, mostly my hips! I have been taking fluoxetine for PMDD/perimenopause and swear…
  • @angf0679 Thank you for sharing where you are at! It's amazing how we can slide backwards and not realize it. I am in the same place. I am 5'3" and was at 127 but now back up to 140. I know people say meds don't cause you to gain, but honestly, I do think the fluoxetine I have been taking has impacted me in some way! I am…
  • @tigrig YES that is exactly the feeling! Body dysmorphia for sure. I wonder if it will ever go away! I do try to be conscious of it but there is definitely something there inside me that needs to be healed and that no amount of weight loss or muscle gain will heal.
  • @timsethna I have never heard of Lion's Mane but I will check it out! I am proud of you for trying to wean yourself off of your meds if you feel you are in a place you are ready to do so. I am absolutely rooting for you!
  • @AnnPT77 ANN! You are always such a grounding presence here and I am so grateful for your input and your kind ways. I do absolutely love cardio! I always have! It helps me to clear my mind and I truly do love moving my body. I did just start tracking again and to be honest, I think I need to get back to this so I can truly…
  • @sollyn23l2 I have been off of Facebook for over 10 years now (best decision I ever made!) and have never been on Instagram or any others. I do participate in LinkedIn as I work in HR and it is helpful for connecting with others. I agree-our world is toxic and in general, we are not supporting others to be their best…
  • @88AViva wonderful goals!! As @sollyn23l2 stated, every little bit adds up and make tiny incremental changes and build on each other! If you haven’t read it yet, try Atomic Habits by James Clear!
  • <3 @springlering62 and @cmriverside Thank you!!! It’s the dang truth once I started on my weightlifting journey myself I had NO idea the amount of work that goes into or did I even pay attention something like shoulders!!! Thank you for admiring mine! They’re my favorite body part to crush!
