I've been logging for 1 1/2 years now. I lost a little over 100 lbs and allow myself a 10 lb window now in maintenance. Once I am nearing the 10lbs, I start being much more strict with calorie counting. It's far from easy for me, but it is working as long as I stay mentally tough. My problem in the past has always been…

from XXXL to L/XL t-shirt, 42 waist to 34 waist, and from 285 lbs to 185 lbs (I am building muscle and maintaining my weight around 185-195 now)

My previous Dr (now out of business) told me to go on 50 carbs a day without explaining why. I took her advice and was miserable and weak for the first couple months of my wlj. Long story short, I lost 100 lbs in a year by simply keeping calories in check. I eat on average 400 g carbs daily along with higher protein and…

That is freaking awesome!

sounds good actually....I do something similar but use avocado instead of grapes.

Yeah, that’s a win! I’ve been averaging 20 to 23 miles per day and ride every day, Other than the few days where I couldn’t because of rain. It’s the most riding I’ve done in my life!

to reach 3000 miles on my mountain bike before winter hits hard. Almost there with less than 100 miles to go! I started in the middle of May.

Does anyone have friends or family who don't understand why you quit drinking? I DO! They say things like, "it's not that hard to stop at one or two." even though I tell them it was all consuming, and one reason my health deteriorated (both mentally and physically) and I was 100 lbs overweight, and one reason my health did…

2750 miles on mountain bike since middle of may. Trying to get to 3000 before winter sets in.

just a reminder to myself and others, don't ever give up. I've been kinda down and out lately (a few months)...still working out everyday with 20 PLUS mile bike rides every morning and weight training, but a little lazy on calorie intake. I know I have gotten much stronger because of how I can push myself harder each…

i bike over 20 miles every morning and weight train at home too, so I've been keeping steady... I eat a ton of food with all the training.

water weight. example from me this week. I've been overdoing on sodium and extra calories in the past week and was 194 on Monday....by simply getting back to strict calorie counting and watching the sodium along with drinking EXTRA water, I am back down to 188 as of today. a 6 lb swing! and yes, if you are going to weigh…

currently, my post workout meal.... 1/2 avocado, buffalo tuna pack, 2 over easy eggs, shredded cheese on top with franks red hot....all mixed together. So freaking delicious and nutritious ! Around 380 calories with 35 grams of protein

today is 3 months exactly since I started mountain biking every day. I have only missed a couple days due to weather but still rode my spin bike inside. Total miles so far = 1708... Best shape of my life at age 55.

I wear a bandana in stores right now because of mandate. Most face masks are worthless anyway except the real N95s....after the mandate is over this month, I will be back to NO mask. And I am definitely not wearing goggles like Fauci now recommends.

I currently mountain bike 20-23 miles every day unless the weather is super bad, and then I use my spin bike indoors. I also weight train. As others have said, it is just routine for me now. On the real bad days of not "feeling like it" , I do it anyway and usually start getting in the groove as I push through. just find…

I rarely use the friends thing anymore. so if people are looking to me for cheers because they finished their diary under calorie goal, they've got the wrong person.

True KETO is severe restriction of Carbs (25 grams or less a day) with upping Fats and Protein instead. If you ask me, very unsustainable way to lose weight or keep weight off in the long run.

I've lost 100 lbs from my heaviest of 285 lbs. When people notice, I just say, I've dropped a "few"

All the mountain biking this summer has really paid off in my overall fitness and especially my leg muscles. A year ago these legs were covered in a few layers of fat! I'm 55 years old, never give up!

Be accurate and consistent in staying at your calorie deficit, NOT more or less calculating. Are you weighing everything you eat on a food scale? PS..don't pay attention to the 5 week estimate.

I don't buy it either, and if a person thinks this way, it is just an excuse to give up when things get hard. Not coming down on the op, but it is a fact.. I barely could walk without breathing heavy when I started in April 2019 at age 54....now I am doing 20 plus miles on my mountain bike every morning and weight…

Bike every day as long as you aren't overly sore or fatigued. Listen to your body. I bike outside 20-22 miles every day on trails. killer way to stay fit!

some great advice above....I eat chips rarely now....i have substituted popcorn instead. can eat a lot more of that and be just as satisfied :)
