Well done! You look great!

I've set my sights on walking, lifting weights, & maintaining discipline through a party tonight.

An idea for y'all to consider: I walk several times/week in large stores like Kroger. Publix, Home Depot, Lowes, Target, Walmart, etc. They are climate controlled, the floors are level, and I can push carts to maintain my sketchy balance. I've lost 133# since my heaviest, but I still weigh 292# & there's no way I would…

That's a great month!

That's terrific news! I'm with you all the way! My highest was 425#. I'm 6 feet & 292 now, with 100-120# yet to go. It CAN be done! If you're interested, add me as an MFP friend, rockconner. My MFP friends can view my food & exercise diary, please make yours available. In this way, we can share ideas about food & exercise.…

Wow!

It's still mathematically possible to break through 100# lost by Labor Day & I'm working hard for it. It's more likely that I'll get to 100# later in September, but I'm pushing for Labor Day!

Yesterday was my hardest workout to date, walking & lifting, & I'm not sore today!
-
I have a bad back, a leg prosthesis & TBI so I do light dumbell work in a chair. The exercises I employ came mostly from YouTube. I can get in a challenging 45-minute workout like that. My arms & chest are toning up & I'm building muscle mass. Not standing doesn't have to stop you from working out!
-
Great progress!
-
I have no criticism about how you looked before, but you look STUPENDOUS after! Quite well done!

I can sit in restaurant booths again! No more requesting a table because I can't fit into the booths.

Congratulations on reaching your goal! When he notices that you've shrunk tell it's because you eat & drink differently now. Say it not defiantly but confidently. It will take a time for him to realize all that means. When he offers something you don't want, just decline politely. Take the time to weigh & measure portions…

I achieved my goal of getting past 75# in weight loss by July 4th. My next goal is to pass 100# in weight loss by Labor Day. It might be an overreach, but it's something to work HARD for.

If anybody ever notices that I've lost weight, I'm gonna say, "My wife quit feeding me."
-
My highest weight was 425. In January when I got serious about changing my life I weighed 372. Now ar the beginning of July I've lost 76# down to 296. We've traveled some of the same roads. I know I'm going to have a snack at night. It's who I am, so I budget it into my daily food planning by looking ahead to what I'll…

My goal for today (06/30) is to remember to eat. I know that sounds strange for a fat boy losing weight, but for the last couple of days I've reached the evening having not eaten enough to safely lose weight. Two days of doing so won't hurt me, but I've gotta get back to eating mindfully throughout the day.

Who WOULDN'T lick the knife?!?
-
@conniewilkins56 I respect you in several ways! I'm a 60-year-old guy & I've lost 76#, currently at 296# The way you eat & exercise indicates that you are moving forcefully through life! I admire how you go about your business.

Sunday was a big day for me. I dropped under 300# for the first time in decades, I broke through the 75# weight loss barrier, & I surpassed 20% in bodyweight lost. I started in January at 372# & now I weigh 296#. I'm so pleased!

Having to buy smaller clothes today! I have lost 71# & still have 129# to go, so I'm not buying anything extravagant. In fact, my first stop will be at Goodwill. My clothes are too big, hooray!
-
I'm 71# on the way to a 200# weight loss goal, & I have to get smaller clothes. I'm reluctant to spend a lot of money, though, because I want the clothes that fit me now to be obsolete in a few months. So I looked through the KingSize website to see things I might want. Then this afternoon Herself & I will head out to…

That's wonderful! I SO look forward to being able to fit into seats on airplanes, at sporting events, old restored theaters, etc. Congratulations, I'm happy for you!

Welcome back. Yours has indeed been a tragic & stressful year so far. God may bless a Christian's faith during such times. I pray that happens for you.
-
I was able to walk around the block without sitting down for the first time in decades!
-
When I ate like that for a few weeks I didn't lose either. My experience indicates there's such a thing in the brief term as eating too little to efficiently burn fat. Since I brought my daily intake up around 1300 calories (I'm a guy) I've lost much more weight per week.
-
I'm game. I've lost 66# since January & I post my diary most every day. I'll send you a friend request. -- rockconner

Congratulations! Your story is inspiring. I hope to be where you are next year.
-
Your success brings me near to tears. My heaviest was 425#, & I'm trying to get to somewhere between 165# & 185#. I'm currently at 306#. That you have made the journey leaves me all at once encouraged, awed, & challenge. Respect.

I'm no doctor & you should follow their advice, but 800 calories per day seems quite low. Sometimes if you eat too little it changes your metabolism & hinders weight loss. Many sources I've encountered recommend no less than 1000 calories per day for women.
