Quest makes some really tasty Protein chips and the texture is actually good. I was surprised. I make a health version of nachos with black beans, protein of your choice, and guac. You can buy them at Target or Amazon. When I'm craving something sweet, I get salted roasted almonds with a light drizzle of honey or almonds…

love Hawaiian rolls. It's smart to not keep these around the house as it's so tempting right? I try and do the same!

Cheese, starchy foods (pasta, bread, mashed potatoes), and chocolate. Pizza is my go to comfort food when I want to indulge

Thanks for this update. My calorie and macros are currently almost the same as your original one and I am noticing I am losing less weight as opposed to when I wasn't counting my calories or macros (still making healthy choices). I think my clothes even fit a tad bit tighter. It's been 2 weeks so maybe I should look over…

Hey there. I'm also trying to grow my glutes and I found this video useful. He answers your question at 23:04 however this whole video was immensely helpful for me as I am also trying to lose fat and build muscle (mainly my glutes) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQg65AnKo-k

Hey there, just a personal preference, maybe not a popular one but I started my weight loss journey 3 months ago and haven't weighed myself since. I plan on weighing myself in February. In the past, I suffered from eating disorder so I want to develop a healthy relationship with food. What I will say is I don't need a…

What helps me is trying to meet my protein goal. Mine is 105 grams per day so I try my hardest to keep each meal high protein. It makes me feel full. Take it a day at a time. My personal preference is to not weigh myself because I have had eating disorder in the past and I want to enjoy my journey, not be a slave to the…

Will try tonight 🤔 lol 😋

Hang in there momma, I can relate. Something is better than nothing. I also lift weights when I can and have been focusing on building more muscle since I know our body burns more calories throughout the day through resting metabolism. Walking is therapeutic and energizing as well. I bought an outdoor spinning bike on…

That’s impressive! Congratulations on the weight loss and greater health. Thank you for sharing your experience of weight loss without the use of a low carb diet and for this helpful information!

Seems like I need to really do some research on carbs. There is so much conflicting information online. Thanks for the info everyone!

Hey there! I do. It started years ago when I was so in shape and really “watching what I ate”. Eventually I allowed myself “cheat days” and that’s when hell broke lose. All week, I restricted myself so much i would look forward to cheat day all week, it’s all I would think about. When cheat day came, I would binge so much…

Oh yes the phone works magic! I try to use that trick right before nap time :p Yes, how awesome that you get an extra pair of eyes from your older kids while you workout. I would definitely do the same if I could. Thank you so much!

Hello there. Thanks for sharing. Personally, what works for me is not viewing the journey as a diet but more of a lifestyle. When I first start off, I don't get too strict or I become obsessed. I am prone to binge eating after long weeks of "eating clean" so I really focus on stopping that cycle. Seems like you are at day…

Thank you to everyone for sharing your personal experiences. I forgot to mention one important thing - I have been intermittent fasting for a long time (just recently started tracking my macros). I also have a 30+ BMI since giving birth a few years back which is why my short term goal is fat loss (long term goal - body…

It's awesome and I'm sure healthier that you are getting your protein minimum intake of 100 g without fake meats. Kudos. Because I have a high 30% + BMI currently after becoming a mom and making poor eating choices, carbs are a high percentage of my macros but I definitely try and avoid an extreme amount at least until I…

Thanks Nony Mouse. I currently have my protein set at 105 but I have considered if it is too high. Thank you for the tip! :)
