Now! Log turkey food and xmas food and if you go over your daily calorie limit, just go for a jog or a long walk and burn off the excess! By January you will WISH you had started now :)

Hi I joined a similar group last year and lost loads of weight just by having the accountability so this group is a great idea :D I started at 205lb and am now 160lb. I haven't really lost anything for 6 months though but i'm hoping to lose 10-15lbs by xmas. We can do this! i'm 28 btw

Maybe the floats belong to a club that swim there? At my local pool there is loads of equipment for the different clubs (kayaking, synchonised swimming, polo etc) that pay to use the pool at certain times each week. You can always buy a float, not sure where you live but in the UK you can get them sports direct. Perhaps…

Haha yes it's crazy but the best plans and people always are! :) You can do it, just build yourself up slowly so your muscles develop and do lots of research on the internet (like the c25k programme that others have mentioned, running magazines, running websites etc etc).

Hot Chocolate! My favourite is Cadbury highlights dark hot chocolate - only 40 cals a mug! In close second is Skinny Cow mint hot choc - i think that has about 40 cals per serving too
