Let's face it ~ life changes our bodies, weight gains won't necessarily make your chest into what you want and weight loss will occur all over your body, chest included. I lost 30 pounds 9 years ago and dropped 3 bra sizes. Add that onto stopping nursing and it was a big shift. Two pregnancies later and an extra 45 pounds…

Congratulations! I'm not pregnant (my youngest will be 5 this weekend) but I'll support and motivate you if you wish. I loved (and hated ~ LOL!) being pregnant. However, if you want the support and motivation of other moms who are expecting, then definitely check out the sub group. :)

What a great question! I struggle daily to keep within my calorie goals and some days I question why I even bother because I enjoy food and I feel like so much is "off limits" to me. I know that it's not, but I can't really enjoy a 500 calorie pizza meal anymore because if I eat it then I will either gain instead of lose…

I gained over 30 pounds on Lexapro while actively trying to maintain my weight. But it made me so sleepy the first 2 months that I ate to stay awake in the car. It was a bad med for me and it took me a year to call the dr's office and say I was weaning off it, mostly because I was told to stay on it every time I…

I've been on metformin for over a year now and at first I was more hungry but it only lasted a couple days. I do take it for pre-diabetes and my blood sugar numbers are better but my periods got way heavier.

350' ? 30 minutes?

Amy, these symptoms can also indicate a drop in your thyroid production. If you google low thyroid you'll get a whole list of symptoms common for it and can decide if any others apply to you. It's not related to your workouts but could be a possibility.

Mix and bake for how long at what temp? I'd love to make this tonight...

That's fabulous!!!!!!!! I bet you can do it!

Depends upon my craving, but mostly sweet. I still crave the white potato sometimes but mostly it's because you can't find sweet potato tator tots. ;) (By the way, I never had sweet potatoes prepared any way except with marshmallows and brown sugar until a couple years ago, and for the first time, I liked them! LOL! They…

I think that for most people a 10-20 pound weight loss isn't too noticeable so it's wonderful that you can tell in your picture. I lose it in my face also and even though no one else can tell, I can. Congrats on your loss and keep it up! Eighteen pounds down is awesome!

My secret is to buy the fish already seasoned. I haven't found a good recipe either. Heck, I've had Blue Hake in my freezer for nearly 2.5 years and still haven't pulled it out to cook because I don't know what to do with it.

Welcome back :) I know what you mean about not getting past day 1. I lost 35 pounds on WW 9 years ago and kept most of it off but then gained 40 pounds suddenly. When the dr's office told me I was pre-diabetic and I needed to lose weight, I actually gained on the eating plan. So I quit trying. And got depressed at my high…

I'm not sure how to offer advice to you, but I did find this pancake recipe from a website that looks easy to make and healthy too. Maybe you can indulge in these pancakes while your mom eats the highly processed ones... most of the ingredients you probably have in your cupboards already. Ingredients: 1 cup fat free milk…

This sounds amazing! I have a recipe for to-die-for pumpkin squares that I know are high in calories and fat. This looks like a good alternative. Thanks for sharing!

I hear ya. I have tried for years to lose my weight and every time I'd start, I'd quit right away from feeling deprived. It's hard to change that mindset for me! This time I'm emotionally in a better place. I don't feel as if I'm being punished but rather making choices. I am still not making all the best choices but once…

Hang in there Carol! I, too, have asthma and when I get an attack, I want the old standby comfort foods too. What I find works best for me is to make a crockpot of chicken vegetable soup or something healthy that I crave when I don't feel well. Then I drink lots and lots of warm spiced apple cider (sugar free packets are…

I agree. Don't force yourself tonight to eat just to eat. I had a colonoscopy last month and was way under calories the liquid day but the next day I was so hungry after it was over that I ate over my calories. What we were taught in Weight Watchers is that if you are under one day but eat over the next, as long as you are…

I like water but the water we have here in my town changes almost daily. I can always tell when they treat it with various chemicals because I can taste it. My kids drink it filtered but I don't like the salty taste. So I don't drink it as much as I should and when I cut back, I start drinking more soda. Not good for…

[quote} Sounds to me (without knowing for sure) that you are eating way too little for your body to let go of any weight. If you're not giving your body what it needs (i.e. eating a deficit to a deficit that MFP already gives you to lose 1lb/week) you are not going to lose anything. And long term, you could do more harm…

Thanks to everyone who has posted here. I'm obviously not the original poster, but I too have stalled out and am getting frustrated. Although it's only been weeks since I started, I was starving so badly the first month that I was sick from hunger. Now my body has adjusted to the new calorie level (1300) and I am gaining…

I am sticking with MFP. I did the old WW points program and lost 35 pounds but every time after that, when I gained, I could never lose it again. I have friends that swear by the new program but I didn't want to pay and the support here is wonderful. :) Plus, I track carbs, protein and fat this way. I never could with WW…

Hang in there! Three days of tracking is a good start. I, too, have a lot of weight to lose and am pre-diabetic which complicates things. I've just started back again on this, but set your goal reasonable, like losing 1 pound a week. That way you'll be happy if you lose more and if you lose only that much, it's still 50+…

Sounds yummy! I think this will be tonight's post soccer supper. Can't do any better than throwing it all in and letting it cook!
