  • I tried to do it straight through, but there were a few days I couldn't manage the time. It took me 40 days to complete the DVD. I've been thinking about doing it again after the first of the year. I lost 12 inches the last time.
  • Thanks everyone! Had a great time and felt comfortable. It is a wonderful change to have "you're looking so good" compliments instead of "your hair looks nice" comments.

  • I've been riding solo alongside hubby for 28 years. My first bike was a '65 Harley Panhead. Hubby fixed up a '80 Harley Wide Glide to get me off the Panhead - he said I was putting too many miles on it! I now have a '01 Harley Road King. I still ride all three bikes. Love my Harleys
  • Interesting......I would like to know also, Do you take it completely out of the frame? Sounds like a dumb question, but I'm wondering about the plug-in connection being exposed to skin.
  • The BodyMedia is worn 23 hours a day. It tracks your calories burned, your physical activity time, the number of steps you take and your sleep time and quality of that sleep. You set your level of activity, the rate of weight you want to lose per week and other profile items. You still need to log your food. After I…
  • I have lost 90 pounds over a two year period. Up to a few months ago, I would lose 1 pound a week, which was my plan. I was on a plateau for four months until I bought a BodyMedia Link. Since I've started wearing it, my plateau has broken and have lost another 7 pounds. It has inserted a new "twist" in counting my calories…
  • Fantastic! I'm looking forward to that day myself. :flowerforyou:
  • I would be willing to say no. If the unit was actually used, then it was registered on BodyMedia. The only way to find out is to contact the website. Also, make sure the serial number is shown on the unit or package you are going to bid on. You have to have it to register.
  • I buy the thick pork chops, box of wild rice, 2 bell peppers and low-sodium tomatoes. I pour the wild rice in a casserole dish, mix the seasonings, diced bell peppers and tomatoes with it. I top with the pork chops, without even browning them. I usually add one cup of water. Cover and cook at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours. I…
  • I agree with helping plan and prepare the meals. Not only will you help your parents create eating healthy habits, but you will build stronger habits for yourself.
  • I'm stuffed. I ate a helping of everything. I tracked and came in 422 calories over my allowance for today. I'm still in good shape for the week though. I'm happy.
  • Yep, I'm still tracking! I have been eating under my allowance every day this week, so I can afford to eat a little of everything today.
  • It had been years and years since I could cross my legs gracefully. Since I've lost weight, I started crossing them again. My girlfriend told me that was a bad habit. I smiled and told her that I knew that. She looked at me and asked "if you know it is bad for you, why are you still doing it?" I looked at her, smiled even…
  • I was receiving the same remarks a few months ago. I still have about 35 pounds to lose, so it was frustrating to me also. My girlfriend told me to use a better moisturizer cream on my skin. It has really improved my "look" and I don't hear near as many comments now. Just a suggestion.
  • Fantastic!
  • LaPirinola: Do you still wear your F7 when exercising? I have the FT7 and was thinking of doing both, but didn't know if they would interfere with each other. I should receive my BodyMedia on Thursday - I'm looking forward to using it.
  • Congrats! That was a HUGE NSV for me. It is hard for slim people to understand that, but it is so satisfying.
  • I had one earlier this week. I need a new coat so I went shopping. I found one I liked, but only in small and large sizes. I tried on the large and it was too large on me. I thought, "well, I'll try on the small and see how far I have to go for it to fit". Gasp..... it fit! I bought it on the spot. Life is good.
  • I have three straps to rotate out. I rinse mine good after each use and wash them in the machine about every 10 days. Hubby put the laundry in the dryer once and all three straps went through the dryer cycle. Fortunately, no damage was done and the readings are still good. I about had a heart attack when I realized where…
  • I ordered the BodyMedia FIT Link earlier today and the coupon works! I'm looking forward to using it to lose the final 30 pounds.
  • I have been researching the BodyMedia also. If you use coupon code MFPBM15 at checkout, you are supposed to receive a 15% off the price. I'm just trying to decide between buying the FIT CORE model or the FIT LINK model. $30 difference.
  • I went to lunch with two of my co-workers recently. When we were leaving, we saw a retired supervisior from an associate department and stopped to visit for a short minute. She complimented me on my weight loss at that time. When I returned to the office, she had left a long message on my machine. She said she was so proud…
  • I could go months and months without chocolate or ice cream. Probably the only sweet item I have trouble passing up would be blackberry cobbler. I am a salt, peanuts and chip person, but I am doing real well dealing with that. I now eat almonds (unsalted) and that satisfies my cravings. It is a life-style change for me.
  • Fantastic Thread! :drinker:
  • My first change when I started my weigh loss journey was to eat lean cuisines for lunch at work. Since I do not like to cook, they kept me from running out to Mickey D's, Arby's or any other fast food places. I can honestly say that if I hadn't used Lean Cuisines, I would not have stuck with the calorie counting for the…
  • Love this......can't wait for the follow up status :drinker:
  • That's wonderful! Weighing under 200 was a real milestone for me. My next one is to weigh under 150 - only 8 more pounds. Good Luck with your journey.
  • I wish I could say something to two of my girlfiriends, like you did to your co-worker. One girlfriend tries every gimmick diet and moans when the twenty pounds she lost, returns along with 10 more. The other girlfriend is always saying "but I only ate a little bit". Yes you did, but of items you could have avoided -…
  • I keep egg beaters at work. I microwave in a large bowl and add w.w. mexican cheese. Later on, I eat almonds as my morning snack. I use to eat instant oatmeal, but it just didn't fill me up and I was hungry all morning.
