  • Are you wanting to use MFP to track your carbs and count carb servings? If so I'd say just make sure that you are using accurate entries because most of this is user created and for whatever reason people will enter the wrong information. So check your packaging or product websites to make sure that the entries here are…
  • @polskagirl01 I love your hill plan! @mbaker566 That's awesome that you got started and found yourself further motivated to get outside :) I love seeing Christmas lights while I run also. I got my second wind yesterday evening (okay, it was technically my first "wind" of the day. LOL) and got on the treadmill at 7pm. I've…
  • Yesx3 Walked a mile at work this morning and this evening ran 3 on treadmill plus half mile warmup and cool down.
  • Hi. I grazed through all the posts from the past few days but honestly don't have the energy to respond. LOL I have been feeling pretty junky. Need to run today but we'll see. Dec 1 - No run, no anything Dec 2 - 30 min walk with dh/28 min 2 mile RUN on treadmill which was 1.5 mile at 4mph and then I sped up to 5 and 6mph…
  • Yes x3. Weather is interfering with dog walks and I had a busy day with church and a Christmas party, so 20 min exercise was very forced. Joints aren't happy either. I guess the "good" thing is my stomach has been hurting so I didn't even eat at the Christmas party.
  • I had a serious case of lazy today on a dreary cold day. Eventually hit the treadmill for 3.5 miles - 2 was running, 1.5 walking. So yesx3.
  • All yes - exercise was walking each dog down the street and back, that's 1.6 miles. 13,500 steps though from lots of cleaning/organizing and shopping/returning.
  • Yesx3 Exercise included a walk break at work, quick dog walk, and 2 miles ran on treadmill.
  • 2 miles tonight on the treadmill, took 26 min and felt every bit as hard as running faster/ longer outside. Boo. Hopefully next run is outdoors.
  • Yes x3. Favorite exercises are walking, running, and sometimes strength (when I get into it and see progress) Least favorite is anything dancy or requiring coordination :#
  • @tanyanelson922 That is great you can do 30 min at 2.1mph. Have you been on the American Diabetes Association website? They have nutrition information. Maybe you could browse that website and make a list of questions for your appt at the end of the month. I'm sure Costco would have the Splenda like Sam's. Cutting back on…
  • Has your doctor given you materials or referred you to a class to learn how to manage your diabetes? You seem a little overwhelmed. Walking and losing weight will definitely help your blood sugar and blood pressure but I'm hoping you are also taking medication/insulin until you get this under control. You can buy…
  • Exercise: 1 mile run this morning (plus half mile of warm up/cool down).... walking break at work.... evening workout of warmup then run 2 min followed by 1.5 min upper body exercises x3 then 8 minutes lower body floor exercises Calories: good logged: yes
  • @shanaber Yes, my husband is also excited. He has already majorly reduced his insulin and had to call in for instructions on cutting his BP meds because his BP was getting so low. It took a surgeon telling him "You're obese and need an aggresive weight loss plan before I fix your hernia" but his eyes have been opened about…
  • I'm not a morning person although I do actually get up "early" because of my husband's schedule (I'm usually awake in bed around 5am, then drag myself up around 5:45). I usually walk my dogs before work, weather permitting, but running in the morning takes a lot of effort (I've done it in summer in the past when I was…
  • Exercise: walked dogs and took a short walk break at work.... really wanted to run after work but no energy left after household stuff Calories: good Logged: yep
  • I had a pretty sedentary day. Went to church, did a quick grocery run, cooked lunch, and did several loads of laundry....but also napped and felt I hadn't done anything aerobic for sure as I didn't even walk my dogs today. Was just about to give up and post pass day 4 when I decided to put away the last load of laundry one…
  • @T1DCarnivoreRunner That sounds like the cramps my husband gets! He screams his head off and you can see his calves contorting. I ran 3.5 miles today, so .4 farther than I had done recently. I had a huge breakfast that felt like a brick in my stomach even though I waited like 3 hours to run. Yuck. Won't make that mistake…
  • Yesx3 but I had to exercise extra to burn off the food and I'm not happy with myself about that.
  • Pass day 3! I still have faith I can finish the month without any more passes. I walked my dogs today and I'm honestly fine on calories looking at it weekly, but I put on a Christmas party for my youth at church and besides pizza I just grazed and had to majorly guesstimate my logging. I could've done much better by fixing…
  • Yesx3 and exercise included dog walk, office break walk, and 2 mile run. I seem to be trying to catch my husband's sickness so wish me health and luck :D
  • Tonight I decided to do 2 treadmill miles. I walked 3 min to warm up then began the 2 miles by running 3 min at 4mph then from there on out I sped up to 5mph for 1 min out of every 3. Then 2 min cool down walk. Dec 1 - No run, no anything Dec 2 - 30 min walk with dh/28 min 2 mile RUN on treadmill which was 1.5 mile at 4mph…
  • @durhammfp I think we must be similar because any time I try to do a set schedule running feels like a chore and I quit. I don't think I have the personality for structured plans. I do enjoy running for exercise but don't do races or anything. Definitely keep it fun if that's your goal and figure out what works for you.…
  • Happy birthday @shanaber and @scott6255 !!! @durhammfp I did C25K and B210K end of last year into beginning of this year and I think the program itself just got really boring for me. Granted I was strictly doing treadmill at the time. But every run just getting longer and longer, I was finally just bored out of my mind…
  • I agree! I have no problem with the app myself but there are other ways of getting to the group. I'm going to try to remember to actually keep a log going this month: Dec 1 - No run, no anything Dec 2 - 30 min walk with dh/28 min 2 mile RUN on treadmill which was 1.5 mile at 4mph and then I sped up to 5 and 6mph for the…
  • Pass day 2! :# Amazingly when I closed my diary mfp still said I'd weigh 1lb less in 5 weeks. Lol. But I waaay overdid it and bad choices of sweets also. I had a work banquet but that wasn't the problem. I just was super hungry and mentally breaking down and it was like a bottomless pit I couldn't fill. Exercise was short…
  • How long have you been tracking your heart rate and are you male or female? Mine varies that much every month between ovulation and my period.
  • Feeling super tired but managed my 2 mile run on the treadmill. Strength training is once again pushed off :* @quilteryoyo Sorry about your accident! We hit a small buck 2 years ago on Nov 30 and insurance totaled our car.
  • Exercise: got a slow start today but eventually walked 1.5 mile with hubby then ran 2 miles on treadmill. I am super tired and struggling today and hoping this passes Calories: under Logged: yes
