  • Every time I've had a guy say this in the past, or I've said it to a guy myself, it usually precludes breaking up. Usually its because the person saying it isn't sure how they feel about the commitment; 7 months is a pretty make it or break it time period, long enough to know if you stick around it will become long-term,…
  • I'm going to use that excuse!
  • I wish I had this. I sweat so much. It takes me so long to cool down after working out, that even after I'm done, showered, and changed I will still "glow" (the lady term for "sweat", haha). I hate it. But oh well. Its just who I am and how my body handles working out, no big deal.
  • It's so rough. The feet take the brunt of the work. I should have clarified, the epsom salts are for soaking, massage/scrub your feet with your favorite gel or wash and then soak for a few minutes, you'll feel better. :) And definitely get your fiance involved, haha, its very nice
  • My husband is a server in a fine dining steakhouse, and can be on his feet for up to 12 hours a day, not including walking to and from the train (a mile each way). He lost 30 lbs in less than a year, and lets just say there's a reason *I* am on the site and not him... we eat the same food (I even eat much smaller portions)…
  • Oh how I love EGGS!!! I eat them every day. Every single day. I do separate my yolks/whites but its only because I have a sweet dog who LOVES egg yolks. So most days I have 2 whole eggs + 1 white, and my sweet Snowy gets the yolk from the separated egg. Her coat, eyes, and skin LOVE IT. She's 11 years old and acts and…
  • Veggies!! Look for vegetable substitutes for carby options. For example: - Cauliflower "rice" - pulse raw cauliflower florets in the food processor until they resemble little grains. Heat up a tbsp of butter in a skillet, add some diced garlic and other aromatics, and let the cauliflower sautee for a few minutes until it…
  • Yes! Tonight, at the sushi bar. There was a huge storm outside, so I sat at the bar and ordered a couple pieces at a time to stretch out my dinner and ride out the storm. When I asked for the little nigiri menu again to order one or two more pieces, the waitress said "oh you want MORE?" as if, what, like... 6 pieces of…
  • False I've never flirted with someone else's boyfriend/husband
  • You're too young, haha - maybe if I were 10 years younger I'd consider any one of the first three, but for your sake young man I will pass.
  • Cow and pork tongue is magical. Its so tender and good. Real nice in a burrito or taco, or braised with vegetables. Now I am hungry.
  • No to beef liver, but I do enjoy chicken livers and various forms of pate and foie gras. Mm, a little chicken liver fried up with some butter, a squirt of lemon and some coarse salt, nice little bite while the chicken is roasting. The gizzards and heart are good cooked up the same way. Think of it like popcorn chicken,…
  • Abs - you've worked hard!
  • My husband and I met while living 2000 miles apart. We took a year and a half to enjoy a little long-distance, and then I moved to Chicago once I finished grad school. We've been together 5 years in April, just got married in January :) It was a huge chance, but I believe with love you sometimes have to let your heart take…
  • Well, I guess we could go on a lady date, haha :)
  • You know what else - you probably have lost more than you think you have. Gradual weight and size loss can be so slow that its hard to really be aware of how much you've actually accomplished. Take pictures, maybe once a week or once every two weeks, and when you're feeling like you're not progressing enough go back and…

  • This is the best way to go! You're doing everything right, it just may take a while so don't give up. Your body is going to fight you on this so keep fighting back! :explode:
  • It really is one of the hardest spots to lose, and your genetics and where your body fat collects naturally will mean it may be harder to see definition in a specific area. You sound like you're doing a lot of work so I'd say just keep it up! I do know that alcohol and high-sodium foods can cause an increase in belly…
  • The first thing that comes to my mind would be swimming. It is a full-body workout that gets your heart rate up but puts almost no impact on your muscles. If you have any access to a pool, it would be great for you. Many cities have a town pool or a YMCA for reasonable rates. Swimming and stationary cycling are what I use…
  • I love it. I brew it from a teabag and its lovely iced or hot. If you get a pitcher and fill it with cold water and 3-4 tea bags, you can let it sit in your fridge overnight and when you wake up - presto! Iced tea. I love it.
  • Talk to your doctor about what you're experiencing. They'll refer you to the appropriate specialist based on your specific symptoms. I have exercised-induced asthma (so great) and it can be triggered by anything - cold dry air, warm moist air, whatever. I begin wheezing and "whistling" when I breathe. It doesn't happen…
  • Also, like many posters said, you can mix n' match like 2 egg whites + 1 whole egg. If you have a dog, an occasional egg yolk is also a healthy treat for them! Its good for a shiny coat and healthy eyes, and they LOVE IT! Mine goes nuts every time I crack an egg... she's always hoping for a yolk.
  • Egg whites are low in calories and almost pure protein. They're not much else, though. If your primary concern is calories, egg whites are an easy and relatively cheap way to get protein without fat or carbs. Egg yolks have fat and cholesterol, but they are also powerhouses of nutrition, full of important minerals and…
  • I got the book New Rules of Lifting for Women, and its been excellent. Its helped me feel more confident lifting heavy. People can say "lift heavy" but I didn't really know what that meant exactly. There are exercises you can do that perform compound moves, i.e. a pull-down or a squat, that work more muscles better than…
  • Oh lord. I'm sure its somewhere between 1500 - 2000. Usually on a holiday where I consume treats + liquid calories.
  • That's awesome - happy for you!
  • This is good advice, and a Cool Runnings quote to boot? Awesome.
  • weiner bump sounds like something a doctor should see
