Maybe I should change the title to "Looking for Motivational Audiobooks". Can you change the title once it's posted?

I am really looking for something motivational/inspirational for really, just life affirmation. Something that would speak to my husband that would motivate him to "press on" and want to do something worthwhile with whatever time he has left here. Not that he's dying; he's not. But sometimes he gets into that pity pool…

Thanks, I'll check it out!

Thank you. Guess audiobooks aren't everyone's thing. :) Of course, if I posted a comment on how I was eating only 800 calories a day, the thread would fill to 500 in an hour.

Bump....NO ONE here does audio-books????? :noway:

Johnsonville, here! We used to play you guys in high school football; haven't been to game in ages so I'm not sure we still do. :)

55.00 monthly for a family membership (but you do have to sign up for automatic draft to get that price), including all classes (Zumba, weight training, aerobics, step, yoga). It is a partially subsidized health and fitness center paired with a Rehabilitation Clinic and After hours clinic, so senior citizens and those on…

Bonnie Tyler: "Total Eclipse of the Heart". I'm pretty sure I just told my age. :blushing: And maybe my taste in music. Although, hopefully, it has expanded a little. Along with my behind.

Water. Enough already. Drink it, or don't. :drinker: Mean-spirited, sarcastic comments meant to make someone feel stupid. If you see a question about something already posted, just politely direct them to the correct thread. Don't get all "Gee, I guess you didn't see the OTHER four hundred posts on the same subject" on…

Award for the most pleasant and sane response to the initial post. :drinker:

I had to dial back on upper body this morning. I have an occasional burst of tennis elbow in my left arm, and could feel it this morning on my first go around. So I lowered my weight by ten pounds and finished. Glad I'm on to lower body tomorrow and can give it a day to relax. Any one have any suggestions on recovery…

Wow. I can hear the crickets chirping in here. Helllllooooooo??????

Yes, that is his thing. And, I might add, it's not always food. He IS very good at being supportive. He just got the cookies on a whim, and I think, in this case, it was a matter of convenience because he happened to be at the market. If he's at Target, it may be a movie, or if he's at the mall, some Bath and Body Works.…

Had gained a couple of pounds over the last 2 weeks (had a major meltdown and went on a mini-binge) but have been back on the wagon this week, working out and eating right. I feel better and lighter, but Dear Lord, I am NOT ready to hop back on that scale. So I'm just gonna go with a NSV this week of feeling more like more…

So my husband, who is the bestest hubby in the world, decided I needed a reward for going to the gym every morning this week before work, decides to bring home some Fudge Stripe cookies, which are my favorite, and therefore, my kryptonite. :noway: I decide to buck up and resist, only eating 3 (150cal) a day as a snack at…

I am planning my Thanksgiving menu. Both of my children will be home and my Marine son is bringing a buddy. They have already put in their requests and let me just say there is not one low cal, low fat thing on their menu.:noway: Y'all pray for me, hear?

Got my workout in early. I'm digging getting up early to work out versus going after work. I'm sure there are benefits to both, but I have to say it feels good at the end of a stressful workday to be able to just GO HOME. Here's to hopping back on the wagon! :drinker:

 Sound to me like you have a great deal of info!! It also appears to be working for you just fine. I'm just trying to wrap my head around minimal cardio. As I actually am in a love/hate relationship with my elliptical at the moment, I find this intriguing. Thanks!
