  • I confess you have given me a laugh for the day.. Thanks for sharing.. I cant think of anything I want to confess at the moment I am trying to keep focused on my goals and afraid true confessions will throw me into a tailspin at this time.
  • You look magnificent! But, even greater then your weight lost is your smile. Be happy and well for yourself and your family.
  • I have a friend who is my friend here as well as off here who gives me solid support. My faith in God, my heavenly Father who holds me up and is always attainable. Small steps in the right direction gives me almost instant results in how I feel. I know it will be a long time before others will notice my weight loss..but, I…
  • I have been away from MFP and gaining weight for almost 2 years. Where does the time go?? Looking over your pics and posts I must say it is fantastic how many of you stay fixed on your goal of being healthy. Congratulations. But, I am wondering if there are others, like me, who are morbidly obese and a golden sneaker who…
  • Atrocious!! Thinkless! I was just stuffing food into my mouth--anything and everything..to be honest I couldn't even begin to tell you what I had eaten that day. And I went to bed not satisfied and got up not satisfied... WHY?? because Food will NOT , can not be your everything in life. It will not help anything...yes, it…
  • I read some advice a few weeks ago about fluid consumption..it said you needed to take your weight and divide it by 2 and that is the amount of fluid you need in ounces. Plus you are to add another 8 ozs for every 20 mins of activity. So, being very overweight I am drinking around a gallon( 128 oz) a day of water. Thought…
  • I am 64 yo and was at my highest weight when I started back on a healthy eating plan. I cannot exercise or do anything outside without having an asthma attack. It is very frustrating.. I am managing to walk around .6 miles now without too much effort, now. I can ride a recumbent bike (recumbent because of lower back…
  • Great job!! Love your spirit!! I so want to get to onederland before my son's beach wedding in July. Seems I keep undermining my efforts to do so. CONGRATS!!
  • If your only goal is weight loss..it doesn't make much difference where you cut calories. But, if health is your goal it makes a world of difference. I find I am NOT satisfied when eating junk. I will just keep eating more and more never finding what it is I want. This is an emotional as well as a physical response. I was…
  • Aren't we all??ugh!! I still struggle with this because it is not ..nor ever has been about whether I was full or not. Eating was my "go to drug". Whatever emotion I might be feeling..good or bad. So, it truly is not about what you are eating but rather "What is eating you?" and sadly even knowing that does not take away…
  • It is really disappointing to have the scale bounce around like that. You KNOW it has to be something besides calories eaten. I had this happen to me recently...not a gain for the week..but, one day I weighed and was showing a 2 1/2 lb loss...a decent lost I thought for the week and then the next day (which was my weigh-in…
  • I was once a healthy weight and looked and felt good about my body. But, I have been overweight, then obese and now morbidly obese for a lot of years. I got this way by eating my feelings. So, yes, being positive about who you are is the key. But, i think it is a mistake to confuse who you are and your worth as a person…
  • Well, I haven't noticed a pattern...but, i do have days it is very difficult not to eat every thing in the house and still end up dissatisfied.. WHY??? because inanimate objects what ever they might be CANNOT fill any of those feelings causing me to binge. So, in order to get pass it..I have to talk to myself..reminding me…
  • Wow!! Don't even look like the same girl!! Tho..you are very pretty in all the pics you look much healthier now!! Like the "from behind "shot...one of the most disgusting things is all that stuff hanging over ones bra in the back...can't wait to get rid of mine which is umpteen times worse then yours. Great job getting…

  • I was raised in a society that we were taught to call people "ma'am and sir" IT IS A TITLE OF RESPECT. has NOTHING to do with age. Sorry if I offend anyone by using that title it is inbred. YES, I am older, but I have been calling people that all my life.. "NO Offense intended."

  • Really interesting stuff--I am familiar with the glycemic index--but never knew bananas and cookies would give you the same satiety and sugar crash. Explains why you can eat bananas like a monkey and still be hungry.
  • There is support here from many people that are every size. Glad you found this site. Looking forward to seeing you get fit and thinner. I, also, have suffered an injury to my lower back and there are a lot of exercises I cannot do, but, just moving however you can will help. anything to get the juices flowing.
  • over the years I have lost count of how many times I have done weight watchers. Always lost some weight to start with but would not stick to a restrictive program for long. And, cannot afford to pay the cost now. So, I love it here. The every day support is great!! No matter what time I come on I always find some…
