That's what breasts are for. What's the big deal?

Can you provide a source/study on the statement that men do not seem to fare as well on a diet that excludes meat, fish or eggs? When people don't pay attention to their nutrient intake, it's easy for them to come consistently under in protein, vitamins and minerals - whether they eat animal products or not. Protein is not…

When I was at a point where I was studying, I loved to take my books to the nearest coffee shop, get a big iced coffee and study at one of the outdoor tables.

I love veggie fajitas without the tortillas. Lots of grilled vegetables, rice and salsa!

I'm not sure I understand what's being said here? No, that is not what I'm saying. By simply existing and doing the bare minimum for human survival, yes, we as a species cause harm to the environment. The idea though, is causing as little suffering and harm as possible. But eating meat involves a DIRECT other - causing…

The issue with those who consume meat wanting their choice to be "respected" is that it implies that there is no "other" in the situation. Ultimately, eating meat causes harm - that's why those who are morally opposed to consuming meat have difficulty "respecting" a choice that causes suffering.

That's awfully convenient - because we decided they were for slaughtering, and because we want to. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a stronger example of human selfishness and greed. ETA: I can't help but feel like pulling the "this argument is dumb, I'm going to go eat a burger/feed my ducklings for a duck roast/fry…

a) Ask her to pick up a lower-calorie option for you and bring that home, or b) Measure out a serving size of the one she wants, or c) Don't have any of the one she is bringing home and make your own ice cream with frozen bananas, cocoa powder, etc.

When I was a kid, my mom did Weight Watchers and she always ate the same thing for breakfast - two plain rice cakes with PB and sliced banana. I fell in love with it! Made it today for breakfast as a little trip down memory lane.

Peanut butter, avocados, saute foods in coconut oil, take protein shakes, eat some chocolate or dried fruit. Not hard.

Awareness of oneself is not the sole definition of sentient. It comes down to 'the conscious mind' which, while it certain could imply abstract thought, etc., also has to do with being completely aware of one's surroundings, and at the very least, having mental faculties be fully active. A cow who is being slaughtered,…

That cupcake is just darling!

To each his own, but I really like the Walden Farms Zero Calorie Balsamic.

Another bold step toward the 21st century. Happy day! :D

The fruit-based Clifs should hold up well in heat - apricot, banana bread, oatmeal raisin - since there's nothing in there or drizzled on top to melt. Not sure what your ideal nutrition content is, but Kind Bars and Larabars would likely do well in heat. Also, you might try freezing the bars (if you have access to a…

So vote with your dollar, and leave it at that.

If you open your food diary, people will be able to give you more tailored advice. How low carb/fat do you need to go - is it a medical necessity, or just a preference? Tofu, seitan, tempeh, textured vegetable protein (makes a delicious replacement for oatmeal!), veggie burgers (I like Boca brand - high protein, low…

This would be a nice thing - but the issue with milk is that in order for the industry to go forward, cows need to keep being impregnated and bringing baby cows into the world. The system perpetuates, and we are "creating" these calves out of greed. Milk comes down to supply and demand - the more people turn to plant-based…

Right back atcha, Niner!

These products have no place in a vegan lifestyle, as they go against one of the fundamental ideals: that it is not human right to exploit animals, and that we have no ownership of their bodies, secretions, etc. This company profits off of the exploitation of cows. Cows make milk for baby cows, and so for a human to take…

We can't be encouraging women to be proud of their bikini bodies, you know. Next thing you know, they'll want to vote!

Cursing AT them would be an issue for me - there is clearly malice behind it and it is meant to be hurtful, but I'm not sure that it qualifies as abuse. I don't find cursing around children to be that big of a deal. Curse words are just that - words - and by making them taboo like that, we give them power. Take away the…

I hate this thread so much I just got up and cracked open a Coke Zero.

This couldn't possibly have anything to do with tooth decay.

West Philly!

Because they give you a sweet booty!

Romaine, black beans, a menagerie of salsas, chipotle-lime dressing and guac. If I have the calories to spend, I'll throw some rice in there.

Quick Dinner, two Boca patties topped with vegan mozzarella and a whole mess of steamed sugar snap peas! Washed down with a Thai iced tea made with almond milk. Chocolate-avocado soft-serve!

I'd rather eat the calories, but that's my personal preference.
