Funny how people lose all that weight and say it doesnt work because when you go off it you gain all the weight back. That doesnt mean the diet doesnt work it means you dont work right once you stop the diet.

The amount of miss info on this board is pretty funny. Everything drmerc has said is right. Comparing steady state cardio to lifting weights is like comparing apples and oranges. Lifting burns more calories over a 24 hour period than the same amount of steady state cardio. There is no truly accurate way to measure this…

An easy way to determine how many calories to eat to lose weight is times your weight by 10. Not perfect but neither is all the other calculations you can do.

It is the distance that maters not the duration. The average person burns 100 calories per mile so just figure out how many miles you covered and multiply it by 100. Its not perfect but pretty close.

I would say you could workout smarter not harder/longer but hard to say without seeing what your exactly doing.

I agree with trying out IF (8 hours eat, 16 hours fast) and go keto with >30g of carbs eating at maintenance... it has helped me with dropping body fat.

The results don't really mean anything without seeing what type of exercise was being done. Doing only cardio and/or light weight resistance training is going to cause you to loose more lean body mass than lifting heavy. Nevertheless it still interesting to see the differences.
