Congrats! Looking good!

I know! All I have to do is think about that scene where they show the hearts of an overweight vs. healthy weight person and I'm like: hmmm maybe I don't need to have butter with my rice...
-
Agreed!
-
I wish!

Get the nutella out of the house! That stuff is DANGEROUS! lol

Don't maintain your normal exercise levels, your body needs its energy to fight the virus.
-
Are you eating your exercise calories? We tend to overestimate them, so that may be the culprit.
-
I am going to log, watch I eat, but also cut myself some slack! I'll go over my calories, but not hog-wild.
-
Good point.

Mild stomach pains, empty feeling in gut, extreme irritability (did I say extreme), tiredness, weakness, inability to concentrate.

cheeksv, I find your answer more believable. I think he noticed, but didn't register it as a big enough gain to say anything.
-
He is lovely, which is what worries me. He is TOO nice! I am afraid he wouldn't be honest for fear it might hurt my feelings. The thing is, when I ask a direct question, I want a direct answer...
-
Whoa! I guess that makes me feel better! I can't believe that....really shocking.
-
No, ultimately it is not a big deal, which is why I haven't gotten angry about it. I would just like to know what is going on inside in terms of whether or not he finds me less attractive since I've gained weight.
-
Wow! So impressed! You are beautiful, girl. Look at the difference in your face! Great
-
Wow! You look amazing! Glad to see your hard work paid off! :)

I've wondered about this. Even when I have been overweight I never saw myself as overweight! I always thought I looked fine. It's like my eyes don't recognize when I've gained weight. Then when I'm slimmer, I have the same thoughts: I look fine --not great, not slim, not overweight. I'm just...me.There could be a 20 lb…

I would explain to him exactly what being anorexic is and how that is different from watching what you eat. This anorexia-phobia thing pisses me off so much! I hate it when men accuse you of being anorexic if you are watching what you eat, and getting your full daily calorie intake. Grrr!
-
Yeah, I've gained about 10 lbs. I think it was partly due to having and active job, and working 60 hours a week, and then suddenly becoming a student, which is quite sedentary. The other part is that my boyfriend, who I moved in with, has very different eating habits. I used to eat omelets every night. Now, it is…

I unintentionally hinted by getting audibly frustrated with my camera one day... :D
-
Yeah, trust me, you are not alone! Even when I was 120-125 lbs I had this problem, because I had really muscular calves.
-
Yes, for breakfast and lunch...dinner only if I know what I'm eating ahead of time. Most days, I just see how many calories I have left and figure out what I can get away with at dinner ;)

lol about the boobs. I think I lost my first 4 lbs in my breasts, too! think I would be relieved if my guy was more go-with-the-flow with the whole weight loss. He is a bit judgmental about the way I'm going about it. He says I should just "eat less" and not count calories...then suggests Atkins because his aunt lost…

I couldn't agree more with your statement about men desiring this standard of effortless beauty. Insane. He is also opposed to make up (as all my previous boyfriends). Except, when they met me, I was wearing makeup. I have doubts they would have looked at me twice if we had met after I rolled out of bed with pale skin and…

Everyone thinks they are some sort of expert. So annoying! Just because it works for them, does not mean it will work for you. Weight loss plans are as unique as we are; we all need something different. Try to forgive their ignorance/arrogance, and just focus on what works for you.
-
That may be the case, but it is not what the website is designed for. They are very upfront about their opinions on how the site should be used, moderate the forums to that effect, and have even programmed it so that people cannot eat less than the doctor-recommend amount of calories in a day. This is not an pro-eating…

I am restricting myself, but I'm not over-restricting. I'm not eating less than 1,200 a day. Over-restricting would be eating less calories than that. There is every reason I can't have dessert! If I do, I am going off track. Once I reach my goal I can increase the number of calories I eat by 500 and still maintain my goal…

I wouldn't tell that to a bulimic. That would be inappropriate. This website is not for bulimics, though. It is for people trying to lose weight a healthy way.

I love Julia!

Quoting: "No, it's a quote that promotes eating disorders. The meaning behind the quote is, 'Do you want to eat, or do you want to be skinny?'" That, my friend, is a logical fallacy created by all-or-nothing thinking. She isn't saying that one must not eat in order to be skinny. Nothing in that quote advocates not eating.…
