sounds good to me!! I love challenges!

I'm hoping between 15 to 20, hoping it's doable myself.

I use GNC and they are great with no aftertaste and I usually don't add everything you do. I have the vanilla and will add some fruit or such to it, I've also just added some instant coffee and made a coffee one with no aftertaste still.

I've been soo bad with the Christmas goodies around too. I'm getting some good stuff to eat this weekend and will be back at the gym. The cold weather (teens) has stopped my running in the AM, I'm hoping the temps come up so I can start that again otherwise I'll be getting to the gym...

I have always had one for my pets, as they always got a gift as well. Ironically it started because we needed to keep it out from under the tree (and put it in a stocking) so they wouldn't steal it before Christmas day.....

Sorry, I laughed reading this. I have my baby as my running partner. She is an Australian Cattle dog and she helps makes me run....fast. She now hates to walk, she loves to run and will go full out on me. And unfortunately, I had a neck injury and we believe that she actually caused it to bulge and then had to have it…

I'm thinking of taking a break from the guilt of the holidays. I'm still trying to be good and watching and working out, but I'm not going to say that I can't have that Christmas cookie or that fudge. I just have to try and not be STUPID about it. I try and stay under my calories still or be close at least. I ran an extra…

Yeah, I can't do that :noway: ! I already don't do soda for the most part, I have maybe one a month, if that and can easily do that. If I can quit my coffee habit and revert to a once a week decaf, I can quit soda easily. Candy though, I'm not willing to cust that completely out. I don't sit and eat tons of candy, but I…

Only if it's the deep cleaning one I do, you know with the FULL do everything that you could imagine. Mop, Dust, Vacuum, Laundry, etc. I don't if it's just the general one where it's a light week.

Street!! Other than the weather, I have to get over my problems with that. I love running in the rain, but it can't be hard rain because I can't stand wet feet. I'm sure that the love will overtake me on that. I like the quiet and just listening to the world, especially since I run in the early AM before most are up. So…

I would love to work with you on this "project". I'm at 250 now myself and have (over the last year and a half) lost 46 pounds. I have much, much more to go. If you'd like, feel free to join me. I've also have a couple other friends on the same venture...

I try to get to bed "on time" so that I get my 7 hours in, I lay my clothes out the night before, and.....I have my dog who hears my alarm go off and cries at me to get me to get up and go...so, I have help too.

I was almost 300 when I started my journey and now am down about 250, I've stalled again. I would say that any movement is good. You can find many shows on tv for exercise, or get a DVD, or even just go out and do a walk....I started with just walking.

My work out times change. I get up early in the AM and run 3-4 days a week, I love the great start to my day. The other days I will go to the gym for strength training and do that right after work so I'm home by 6:30-7 since it doesn't take much time to do. On the weekends I try and do my workouts just after lunchtime, I…

Thank you for that, I was finally able to get to check it out and signed up for the newsletters for them. Now, I have to find out/figure out when I'll be ready for doing a run like that. haha

I think that you can do a good combination of both a gym membership and DVD's myself. I find that doing the DVD's over and over again get redundant so throwing in a day or two of strength training at the gym or a elliptical workout or stationary bike or whatever equipment does a good job of keeping your body going and…

I began the C25K back in the beginning of summer, got injured and now I'm restarting it. I started to take Osteo-Biflex just before I started and I find that to be a great help to my joints and bones. I had a hard time with my knees the last time I attempted this and now I have not had any pain whatsoever with it. I love…

I have had it with my old shakes I used to drink and it got to the point that it would put me into pain. It is probably just the mixture/formula that they use. I wouldn't give up, I'd try a different shake maybe. I use GNC Pro-Performance and I have good luck with it.

Elliptical, if you use the one with the arms it gives you an awesome work out....and you can tell it's better and works ya harder

I'm a new runner myself and had to take a small hiatus due to neck surgery. But I do get up early in the morning and run but I started with the Couch to 5K to get rolling. It makes it nice and smooth. I tried this years before and my knees did not like it a bit. Since I started working out, to the pushing of my…

I too hated drinking water. I started to add the flavor packet (diet of course) to my water to help curb the non-flavor thing. Now I crave the water all the time and it doesn't matter. They also say to drink 8 oz of water before you eat meals and this will also help you not to eat as much because you've already started to…

I think you should at least consider it as strength training. The amount of work that comes from your arms and core to do it would justify it. I would say yes...

It's so hard to have motivation when life is such a doldrum. The only thing I can think of is getting up and moving, maybe you will be able to find someone at school that would like to meet up to work out as well that's having the same issues. It's so much a one day at a time.

You look awesome and you can see how your face lights up so much more now!!!
-
Love it! As long as you persist to keep getting back up, it's a lesson learned!!

Water...yep, I concur:laugh:

I have an Australian Cattle Dog and she runs with me. She's my coach and keeps me going, she loves to run so she makes sure that I go too.
-
I run alone and have done it on a trail as well. Lately though, since I run real early in the morning I don't run alone because technically my dog is my coach and comes with me. I have done it alone before too, but it is usually during the day or late afternoon. I find it more peaceful to do it alone.

I've had that happen as well in a very populated area here in CO. They didn't chase me or run with me, luckily since I had my dog with me. But we kept going and you could hear them howling and that behind me. I think I made awesome time getting out to the road since I was doing this on a path.... Anyways, I think…

With everyone's comments I will have to read this at home, "not allowed" website at work.....
