^^^ that's the mindset I had when I created this post. It seems like there are SO many ways to lose, or NOT lose and look better that I was just trying to wrap my head around it. Even now that I've decided to "lift heavy" I have to figure out calories, macro per cents, frequency of lifting, how much (what is this 2/3 thing…

Dang Yoovie! You make not losing look AMAZING! You should be a sticky!
-
I'm getting the impression from you guys that the weight will go down, just "eventually"? Frankly though, after seeing what so many girls look like after hitting the weights, I'm starting to think it's silly to care about my poundage!!
-
Yeah...I've decided to dump the scale. After getting so much information from you guys it seems like my scale-centric ways were really hindering me. I was seriously considering stopping all but only a little cario and going on a severe calorie deficit because I was so desperate to see "results". Now I know what real…

You make me wish it was a "body fat percentage ticker" instead of "weight loss". I just did my measurements and realized that I've lost 2 pounds but 3 inches from my waist. I don't know much, but I have a feeling that's a good thing.
-
Wow! I'm glad there's support out there for lifting. Frankly, I don't know if 140 lb is good for me- I have been measured at 22% bodyfat and I'm not sure if that is a good number or not. I'd love to build muscle but if I work out more, eat more, I suppose measurements are the only accurate measure of body fat loss? Maybe,…

Looks like another poster juuust beat me to pretty much the same topic. Never mind :)

Hey Blue, would you say that MFP has accurate calorie burn rates compared to your heart rate monitor? I'm curious as I'm looking to get one and see if what I log using MFP database matches my HR! :glasses:
-
great post. I bought some and have been wondering how to prepare them!
-
I'm not sure where you're at, but if you specify "unsweet tea" it's calorie free. Your database might be thinking you're adding "sweet tea"- which is rife with sugar and calories.
-
Wow! That's progress! You are a beautiful girl :)
-
You know, I remember that!
-
Your waist is def more tapered and you're getting the very beginning oblique cuts the outline a 6-pack. I'd be excited to see where you're at in 30 more!
-
That's great! I'm Paleo now but considering adding greek yogurt back into my diet (thus becoming primal) I wish you logged so I could see what you're doing?

I just wanted to share a link that Feildsy4Life posted in one of his status updates: http://www.eatrightamerica.com/erni-superfoods You'll notice that the reeaaally nutriend rich food (its ranked per calorie) is reeaaaaly low calorie too. Maybe you could really beef up on kale, collards, bok choy and such? I bet it'd be…

I like that idea, too...so many fitness options!

Ironically, to help calculate points for Weight Watchers. Needless to say, I'm calculating way better things now!

Thanks Twinmom and MissyyClaire. I'll be on the look out for almond butter and full-fat coconut milk; I think our local health food store has them. Monkeydharma and Twinmom: as usual you've helped clarify some of the finer parts of Primal/Paleo for me and I really appreciate that. Thanks in general to this group of people.…

thanks twinmom and fcbryant. Do you have suggestions for a Paleo "filler food" that keeps well and can be eaten en leu of a meal?
-
Ok, this has been bothering me. I have wanted to be hardcore Paleo really bad for a while now but I can't shake my greek yogurt. This is really the only dairy that does not bother me. I like it (and psychologically need) because: 1) It's got protien 2) Soluble calcium 3) as much fat as I choose 4) as much sugar as I choose…

^^^ I'm with Twinmom. I like it and I don't understand why people think it's unhealthy. Or if they they think its "no healthier than any other clean eating" why they feel the need to express themselves, saying that is not value added at this point.

Oh my gosh, if I see another "A pound of muscle is NOT heavier than a pound of fat, Idiots" post I WILL SCREAM.
-
OP: we know a pound is a pound. We know muscle is more dense. CAN WE STOP NOW?

This is a super useful topic and could be reintroduced today! I get a lot of questions about circuit/interval/cross and would love to see this thread trending now.

1 cup carrots 1 cup apples 1/2 cup blueberries 1 cup raw broccoli 1 cup sliced kiwi with skin 6 kumquats 3 medium hardboild eggs from my grandmother-in-law's pet chickens I eat while driving and its the easiest to pre-package for the week, grab, and go!

You made me cry a little...this was so good to see, you don't know what good timing you have! know that you made someone's life a little more inspired :) And you were, are, and will be a beautiful person. You just look a little fresher and healthier now!
-
hahaha this reminds me of that silly ad MFP has running on it "the five foods not to eat to lose weight" and has an animated banana browning. I lost my first 5 or 10 pounds by dropping a lot of processed carbs and substituting with 2 bananas a day, along with whole grains. I think they're healthy! (As long as you're not…

Oh my goodness! THAT is a transformation and YOU are a beautiful lady!
