  • She is so lucky to have you! Continue with the walks and just tell her she is loved and you want her to be healthy. Maybe it's her getting used to the fact that someone actually loves her enough to care that is causing her to keep eating. :flowerforyou:
  • My goal is going to be a long journey, but MFP helps me take it day by day (literally), and trust me, I've tried just about every "diet" (a word no longer in my vocab). MFP gives me the tools to know I will reach my goal, and, more importantly sustain it. The best part is the support of everyone right here at my…
  • lol....good for you for tossing them out......don't give her a reaction b/c that's probably what she wants. Just know you tossed them, and feel good about yourself for not eating them!
  • lol....I have a hubby myself, but like someone posted earlier, everyone wants to lose weight and be healthier on the site.....lucky you.... there seem to be more women than men!!
  • Get the highlights! And don't give up. Keep at it and you'll see the results. I do think changing your goal to 1lb a week would make a difference though. Good luck and please keep us posted. :flowerforyou:
  • Well, I can relate, and I only have my hubby and 1 child! I'm guilty of doing the same and you are definitly not alone in this. I (re)started this site and am on a journey of finding myself, losing weight, and taking care of myself like I used to, so many years ago. A friend request is coming your way, and feel free to…
  • You are definitly not alone!!!! I'm constantly on my laptop, and b/c I was recently laid off, this has become my new "job". Eventually, we'll know what is what and won't be so obsessive about calories in/out b/c this is a great tool for learning what is good for our bodies. It helps to know others feel the same way. My…
  • You can add me. I recently (re)started MFP and could use more support myself, the more the better!
  • Not a bad craving for a healthy lifestyle! I get the same way. I just bought a family pack of fresh salmon yesterday. I grilled it on my George Forman grill w/a touch a salt and a dash of butter flavored Pam cooking spray on the top. I made a sandwich w/whole grain toast, romaine lettuce and tomato...yum!
  • Definitly Purple Rain and the Joshua Tree.....I also love Reo Speedwagon-Hi Infidelity ( I still have the vinyl! )
  • I love Metallica's Enter Sandman, and don't laugh, but the first song I play when I start my workout is the theme from Rocky!!! Also Dance Along the Edge by Concrete Blonde, Here I Go Again-Whitesnake.....you get the picture.
  • I was disappointed that Sunshine left too. I hope Daris wins!!!
  • Don't concentrate on the weight gain. Focus on the positive, healthy changes you are making for yourself. You're aware, you're accountable, and DON"T GIVE UP. You can do this because you deserve to feel and be healthy and strong. Good luck!

  • 3 slices of turkey bacon on toasted whole grain bread, 1 teaspoon mayo, topped w/2 sliced tomatos, romaine lettuce, yogurt as dessert (greek or yoplait whips)
  • Sorry to here about the loss of your mom. And kudos to you for joining MFP and the journey to health. I have over 100lbs to lose and just started (re-started) MFP a little over a week ago. The support on this site is amazing and will get you through day to day hurdles, trust me. Good luck to you and know that there are…
  • Isn't there someone who works at the gym there too? The previous company I worked for always had at least one person there at all times.
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey!!
  • Hi All! This was my first official week on MFP and I lost 8 lbs.!!!! I'm excited and can't wait to see next weeks results! luck to all!
  • I personally like fresh squeezed lemon juice and a teaspoon of olive oil. I don't use salad dressing at all. The light and fat free ones have to much sugar anyway.
  • I agree that a healthy diet plus some form of exercise is the key to optimum health. Walking is excellent. Just set small goals for yourself and challenge yourself at your own pace/level. Just keep moving! It will work wonders for your health and attitude in the short and long run. Good luck!

  • What an awesome post!! Congrats to you on your health and your baby!! Your attitude is so refreshingly positive and your journey is such a motivation to me to achieve my own goals. • That's awesome! Can't wait until I can do the same!! Kudos & keep it up!
  • Maybe you can try to make breakfast your largest meal, using a larger part of your calories, then something smaller but significant for lunch, and a smaller mini-dinner. You def. need all of your cals! Good luck!
  • Rock on girl!! You look amazing and should feel so proud! Congrats!!!

  • I can totally relate, and then some! Six years ago, after a miscarriage, I became pregnant with twins. At 24 weeks, I gave birth prematurely, one of my girls was stillborn, my other girl was in the NICU unit weighing at 1 lb. We lost her after 2 days, her lungs were not strong enough. I had put on a lot of weight and fell…

  • Ouch! What a loser he is! At least you got rid of him, you don't deserve someone like that in your life.
