  • I feel really sluggish the first day of when I have mine and I don't want to exercise or leave my bed, I tend to pick and snack but not eat full meals. I'm mostly on a lot of drugs from the doctor for the pain and said drugs once made me really sick. So I tend to take it easy that first day so I don't stress my body out.…
  • In my experience running was better. It did better things to my mood to take a break, go out and run, followed by a nice leisurely stroll home. I felt more like I accomplished something for the day running compared to exercise DVDs. I'm sure it's a matter of preference though, but for mood reasons I preferred running.
  • I also started to move cardio abs onto the day of core cardio & balance or to cardio recovery. Once you're into month 2 it's more difficult to fit it in because you're ridiculously tired on every work out. Max recovery isn't as "recovery" as it sounds. So I took a half hour break after cardio conditioning and then went…
  • Could the pain be down to exercise and your body aching from the day before? Also the staying asleep or getting to sleep might be more mental rather than to do with your body, maybe you're not tired enough and anxious about something? If I was you, I would take a relaxing bath or read before going to bed, make sure your…
  • I had the implant put in 2 years ago, it's been difficult to lose weight but after tirelessly counting calories and doing insanity, I have lost some inches and my clothes are starting to loosen. It's been tough, with slow successes. But I know it's possible for me to lose weight on it. When I try really hard and when I am…
  • I'm doing the same thing but doing insanity. I'm also at 144, trying to get to 125 and on 1200 calories a day. I've seen the scale go up or stay the same, I started taking measurements and I have lost inches. I really recommend taking measurements, as otherwise it can be quite tiring to see no progress.
  • I'm just about to finish Insanity in the next week. How does max 30 compare? Is it a lot tougher?
  • I never lost any doing 30 minutes of running regularly. But I was fitted with a men's running shoe instead of a women's, even though I am a woman. Apparently my size (UK 7) is only available in men's in some trainers. But it was good because the toes were a bit wider and a lot more comfortable that the women's.
  • When did you start to notice that you had lost the inches? And how many calories a day were you eating?
  • I am on week 1 of month 2 and considering giving up... I managed to do the work outs no problem. I just haven't seen any difference in my body and I've actually put on weight and inches. So not really seeing any benefit in busting myself to fit it in. I might just go back to running and doing home strength exercises.. As I…
  • I was trying 1200 when I first started MFP and lost quite a lot on that amount. I took a break from MFP and started again, I went up to 1400 because I wasn't seeing any difference. So now I have switched down to 1270 a day, and I'm still not seeing any differences in weight or inches. I guess that's just me needed to be…
  • Yes, I am eating so much more in the evenings and a lot more balanced stuff. I am eating back nearly all of the exercise calories for dinner. Thanks, for the suggestion. I will try eggs instead.
  • I would eat more but don't want to go into my calories too much just on breakfast. Will have a look at your diary though.
  • I just did my first max work out. Had to go very slowly and take breaks. Also got really bad cramps while doing it. :s So exhausted.
  • It definitely brings up your energy and endurance. When I took a break from the programme during the holidays, and I went running every day, I found that I was able to run faster and longer than I ever have before, even though I hadn't gone running for months. So the programme definitely helps, even if results can be hard…
  • When you guys say "eat right", do you mean to eat within your calories on MFP? Or to be eating lots of special things? I'm doing Insanity too, but not following the diet programme. I'm vegetarian and cook at home a lot, mostly vegetable dishes. I haven't seen any body changes (inches or scale) yet since starting Insanity.…
  • I found that I lost weight very easily when I was depressed and at the worst I have ever been. I also started insanity in this time, believing exercise would help me feel better about myself. I lost a lot of weight and was at my skinniest, but not happy. I didn't have much of an appetite, so was easy just to eat the 1200…
  • I took a break for about a month after finishing month 1 (it was Christmas, lots of travelling). Now I'm back on it - it's hard but I find I've you get over first week and it becomes a habit, you can stick to it!
  • I did the second day of recovery week yesterday and didn't feel like I was going to throw up.. Stopped a few times and went a bit slower, but glad I didn't feel totally awful afterwards
  • I just took a 3 week break over holidays - did running every other day and then stopped last week. Just did insanity recovery week day 1 today, felt like I was going to throw up while doing it. Can't believe I have somehow lost my endurance to do the workouts - as when I first started week 1 after months of nothing, I was…
  • I wish I had this problem... For some reason my bum has remained the same size throughout my weight loss and adult life... Meaning I have remained the same pants (underwear) size forever. It seems like the only thing that is a constant between growing up and weight loss/weight gain.
  • If you mean for when Shaun T is saying it, I think he means don't exert yourself too much and feel pressured to be like the people on the video - they are all fitness trainers! About your knee, if you have to rest you should... I can imagine some of jumping could hurt it, so I wouldn't risk it until the pain is completely…
  • Did day 1 of recovery week after 3 week break... I felt like I was going to throw up. I didn't expect it to be that awful getting back into it.
  • I'm about to start month 2 tomorrow... Was supposed to start again last week but caught a cold. Hopefully i'm able to keep up after such a long break now.
  • I'll be starting again with recovery week and month 2 from Saturday. I completed month 1 already, then took a break for the holidays, as was staying at parents house and unable to do the exercises - but went running instead. Good luck with your new start! :)
  • I'm about to start again on Saturday after the Christmas break. I'll be starting with the recovery week, then going into month 2. How is everyone doing?
  • It should be fine. But you have to wear a big plaster over it for about 4 weeks if I remember correctly, so won't snag while healing, but maybe you will notice it's difficult to stretch without plaster coming off.
  • I'm also doing it, I have finished month 1. Taking a 2 week break now while I'm staying at my parents for Christmas.
  • I'm sure not as fast everyone - but I just did my second fastest mile in 3 years - 8.43 mins per mile (fastest was 8.36mins/mile). So really happy with myself!
  • Saw an article which says that study did NOT say that vegetarian diets were bad for the environment: http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/vegetarian-bad-for-environment-debunked_567072d7e4b0e292150f95a4
