  • I actually have this also at the moment. I added 10 more minutes to my run and now suffering from pain at top of my leg. It's affecting my walking and movement too. I guess the 10 minutes was me over doing it. I also googled it and it said not properly stretching - though I feel like I do.
  • I got the implant hoping it would do something and stop my periods all together, but it didn't. It was really a shame. So now I have this implant and still the pain medication. I get what people say about going to doctor if you have pain. As I didn't for a long time as I was quite embarrassed and thought it's just…
  • I got mine this week. I put on 4 pounds straight away and could not summon the energy or motivation to go for a run. I ate a lot of salty snacks, but just included them in my diary. Went over my allotted calories on the first day. I was taking a lot of pain medication too.
  • I guess it depends on your own body and how you feel running with or without food. Personally, if I haven't ate any food for a long time and then do a work out, I feel physically sick.
  • I'm on 1270. :)
  • Sounds kind of rude of the doctor. If she was going to weigh you anyway to check the number, what was the point of you writing one in and then her commenting on it being wrong. Even if you weren't weighing yourself regularly, 5 lbs give or take is a good guess.
  • I took everyone's advice and went a lot slower. I finished the full 30 minutes, I did 3.74 miles. I felt really good during the run, could speak out loud and wasn't dying to stop.
  • Ah no, I haven't tried this. I finished C25k a long time ago and just a couple of weeks ago got back into running after doing Insanity for 2 months. My endurance level was really improved by Insanity, and so it meant that I was able to start at 30 minutes running again. So at the moment, I have just been doing 30 minute…
  • I would actually be looking at your iron intake and asking for a blood test from the doctor, as symptoms of anaemia could be what you have. An important thing to know when you go vegetarian is that you can still get protein from plant sources, but your body cannot get iron from non-meat sources without a high intake of…
  • I have a couch to 10 k running plan on my phone, which I could start doing. It would mean starting with running 40 minutes (4 ten minute runs with 1 minute walking break), which at the moment looks terrifying.
  • Thanks, that's a good tip, I can definitely slow it down. My plan was actually to increase my run to 35 minutes in a couple of weeks, once 30 minutes was comfortable, then continue going up 5 minutes. So speed definitely isn't my goal, although sometimes seeing that I ran a mile even faster than had before is a nice…
  • Well done! I also found that weight came off a bit easier once I started running again.
  • I'm vegetarian. The only issue really is iron because your body cannot absorb it from non-meat sources without vitamin C at the same moment. Basically you can get your iron by mixing citrus things with eating spinach, etc. Or taking your iron supplement alongside a glass of orange juice.
  • Do you mean extra calories from steps? I turned mine off in settings. It was counting them from my iPhone. As for exercise calories.. Just type in 0 into calories burned when you log exercise? Or don't log exercise at all.
  • My ex-boyfriend also called me fat once and that I looked pregnant in a new skirt I had just bought.
  • I lost a lot of weight when I became vegetarian when I was 14, I think it was body adjusting. I wasn't counting calories.
  • I'm going to be doing this with my cat when I get one, in the same park that I go running. I'm sure it will look strange but living in a dangerous/busy area, it's the only way the cat will get exercise/fresh air, when I take it out for walks.
  • I saw someone walking a massive pig once. It was on a lead next to their dog.
  • Are you going over your calories? If not and you're still losing, what's the problem? ☺️
  • Same here. MFP steps said I was burning a lot of calories by walking to work or to the train station, and so I could eat a lot of calories back, but it wasn't helping me lose weight. I was definitely going way over. Now I have turned it off, it feels much more accurate logging food and exercise myself.
  • I think it's normal to get them just from growing up, your body changes. For example, the ones on boobs - I had stretch marks on them before I lost weight, it's just what happens as you grow up. I also have them on my hips and legs. My stomach refuses to lose weight, but maybe eventually I will get them there too! I…
  • I could see how with pizza you could get full on it if you had it for dinner, and could stay within your calories. But something like KFC, you might end up eating lots of calories on very little and then getting hungry later on and finding out that you have run out of calories. That's just me though - when I went to…
  • Haha B) I also kept trying to edit my response to you and explain what I meant but it kept saving my reply as just that sentence, which seemed really rude! So sorry about that! :D
  • Unless you're trying to be sarcastic or funny? They don't contradict.
  • I used to watch Game of Thrones or Sex and the City episodes and other shows while I was using my exercise bike at home. It really helped for me to distract my mind and exercise. I think it's definitely boredom that stops me exercising for a long time. I feel it when I am outside running, I'm not in physical pain, so I can…
  • I remember seeing the advert for it after insanity where they do the price and show how much you would need to buy to get the same nutrition. It seems a bit ridiculous and you could make healthy smoothies, full of vitamins and nutrients, that cost less. For example, I use spinach, oranges, banana, raspberries and spirulina…
  • I have the implant and got those symptoms about 2 months after having it put in. After 4 months it disappeared.. Although I also got my period, as well as the spotting. In the 2nd and 3rd month my period lasted 2 weeks with a week break then came back for another 2 weeks... Really not fun.
  • I chose mine based on clothing size, I knew what size I wanted to be, so lost according to get to there.
  • That sounds quite good so far, you're not failing! Are you exercising also? It might help to lift your mood and you can see how much better you get with a certain activity, which should be good motivation
  • I would wait until you're at that weight and can try stuff on. I have never lost pants/trousers size ever. I've consistently been a size 12 when I was at 125 lbs or at 150 lbs... My bum just doesn't want to lose weight. Only my size in skirts/dresses changed from a UK 12 to an 8.
