  • I'll go back to back @ 9Round. Then I look back & see where I went off the rails & fix the issue. I has a bad stretch & decided to take extra lean protein in my lunch & that prevented me from wanting to hit the vending machine, or instead of taking an entire jumbo bag of trail mix to work, make individual size bags so the…
  • Hard pass for me, I love my 35 minute workout a 9Round & wouldn't trade it for anything.
  • Glad I don't run anymore, because I can't wait to get back to 9Round. Although I'm going to do my first mud run in early June, so I need to run so I can make it 5K without sucking.
  • "Just get over it". Like it's always that easy. *kitten* you & the horse you rode in on.
  • Only using the scale as a goal is like choosing a baseball MVP by only using their batting average. So much more goes into it, like HR, RBI, WAR, numbers w/ RISP. Likewise, in addition to the scale, I'm getting stronger, my clothes are fitting better, my belly fat is shrinking, my blood pressure, heart rate & cholesterol…
  • Warrior - Disturbed The Trooper - Iron Maiden Seek & Destroy, And Justice for all - Metallica Boss's Daughter - Pop Evil Step Up - Drowning Pool Never gonna stop - Rob Zombie
  • I love my ab roller. Gotta be one of the best "as seen on TV" items ever.
  • The Warrior by Disturbed is my #1. It rocks & the lyrics fire me up as well. Also Seek & Destroy by Metallica. I always play Never gonna stop by Rob Zombie when I'm hitting it at 9Round.
  • The Greatest Showman. I'm not a fan of musicals, but this movie is excellent! Hugh Jackman is more talented than any one person should be allowed to be & is worth the price of admission. Going to see Avengers: Infinity War Saturday morning. Can't wait!
  • I'm on a ketosis nutritional plan through Profile by Sanford. I started it January 20th & between profile & 9Round I'm down over 40 pounds & my goal is 50. I'm on what they call the reboot-reduce part of the plan. Once I get to my goal, then I got to the adapt & then the sustain. That just means I work my way back to more…
  • My workouts at 9Round last 35 minutes or so & they burn 450-550 calories & I go between 7-10 times a week. They leave you tired & sometimes a little sore.
  • Just my 2 cents worth, they are technically right, but it's a technicality. If you just want to lose weight, it's CICO, but for long term health & well being, the kinds of calories do matter. What I mean is you can lose weight on an ice cream diet, a taco bell diet, the baby food diet, the Subway diet & so on. But for long…
  • I belong to Genesis athletic club. It's perfect for me. Plenty of free weights, machines & dumbells from 2.5 pounds to over 100. A lot of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair climbers & rowing machines. They offer a lot of group classes (regular, boot camp style, spin & yoga), they have an area with 4 TRX spots & 4 heavy…
  • Just my 2 cents worth, but I drink diet pop & a lot of water/tea & I'm down 40+ pounds since the end of January. I don't buy that diet pop makes me crave more food, I think it's more that the lack of calories in my Pepsi Max doesn't make me feel fuller like a can of Dr. Pepper would, so if I'm not careful, I feel the need…
  • Diets don't work, lifestyle changes do. We don't diet & exercise, we eat & train! Maybe it's me being not-picky, but diets are temporary, and once you get off of them, you need to know how to eat to avoid getting back what you've lost.
  • Way too many people deny the earth is round as well, doesn't make them right in either case.
  • Marvel's Agents of Shield has really been great the past couple of seasons. Live PD never ceases to amaze & astound. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but the Greatest Showman was incredible! Hugh Jackman excels & he has so much talent it's really impressive
  • You have to do what's right for you & nobody else. You can't control what they say, but in the end, they have to live their life & you live yours. Ignore the negativity, tell them you don't appreciate it & if they can't support your efforts, they can STFU.
  • Look for videos for body weight training. There are so many variations of exercises out there
  • I get to 9Round at 5:30 & I don't eat until I get to work at about 7:00. Just be sure to hydrate before hand.
  • We do an ab workout every workout at 9Round. Instead of doing so many reps per set, try doing as many as you can for 3 minutes. There's so many ways to work your abs, knee ins on an exercise ball, the ab wheel, flutter kicks, etc. One that was particularly brutal was from a plank position, reach your right arm out & tap…
  • At 9Round, the jump rope is station #1. We do it for 3 minutes, then in between stations there is a 30 second active rest session. You can do 30 seconds of burpees, mountain climbers, push ups, crunches, v-ups, planks, wall sits or other exercises to mix it up. When you jump rope, are you jumping both legs at a time? You…
  • I was not fond of trying those rope jumping jacks. I want to be able to get the heart rate up, not keep restarting every 30 seconds
  • renewing my license this August was part of my motivation to lose weight. Seeing that fat face on the license & my son always amused by it pissed me off. Down 40 so far, hoping to hit 60 by end of July when we go to Wrigley Field.
  • I recommend 9Round. It's a 30 minute kickboxing exercise routine. I'm down 40 pounds & counting, and the workouts are never the same twice. Not only is it fun, but for me, it's also therapy.
  • At 9Round, the jump rope is always station #1. I love it. I sucked big time to start, but now I can go the full 3 minutes without to many screw ups. bbell1985, I don't throw the ropes, but I scream at them sometimes. I get the strange looks when I do that occasionally. Now the trainers want me to do high knees on the rope…
