Haven't tried this one yet but I am considering it. Just trying to figure out how to try it without spending a fortune in case it doesn't work out.

it is so hard to decide since I love to read and have been reading since the age of 4. I would have to say that my favorite read is actually a short story "the last leaf" by O' Henry. A close second is "The Stand" by Stephen King.

I try not to take a lot of the news seriously anymore. I am the sole breadwinner for my family and my husband stayed home and raised our son who is now a healthy happy college Junior. We have been happily married for over 21 years and are still going strong. I think a lot of this news is just skewed to get a reaction from…

You just have to take it slow and be patient. It has taken me 6 years to lose 34 pounds. I did it by getting active. I just started with taking a half hour walk during my lunch break and slowly building until now I do an hour of cardio at least 5 days a week. Then make minor changes in eating habits that you can stick…

I would like to try. I need some new challenges and motivation. Thank-you.

Thanks for the inspiration. I am still trying to get the courage to use the free weight section of the campus recreation center. As an overweight middle age woman I just feel too intimidated by all the young men always crowding the area. I still need to get the point where I can say it just doesn't matter. Way to go.

I am 42 and the weight for me has been coming off very slowly. It has taken me over 5 years to lose 34 lbs and taking the last 5 lbs off that the Dr. wanted is becoming the most difficult. It takes a lot of patience. I try to do at least an hour of cardio most days a week and then 2 days of strength training. My calorie…

Welcome. I have been here for a while and love this site. It has been a tough road but the support offered here really helps even when I fall off track every now and then.

I have a huge round scar covering most of my knee cap. I decided when I was around 12 that going down a steep hill on a wet gravel road on a bike was a good idea. It was one of those old bikes with the brakes that engage when you push the pedals backwards. I panicked slammed on the brakes and ended up skidding down the…

Really everything should count but I typically do not log anything 10 calories or less (i.e my daily vitamins).

Just turned 42 on Valentine's day. Man where are all the years going. It just seems like I was 21 yesterday.

I like that I am a perpetual optimist. No matter how bad a day I have I can get right back up the next and believe that it will be better.

I have heard a lot of people complain about this. I have been lucky, 30 lbs lost and I haven't lost anything on my boobs.

Don't feel bad. I was stuck on a plateau for 5 years. I am finally losing again but it took a change in my exercise habits (I increased my workouts (from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours 5 days a week) and I try not to eat back my calories everyday. It is tough for me as well especially on the weekends. You will get there.
