  • That's wonderful!
  • If you do break down and make something try to make the healthier versions of them, like an oatmeal cookie with applesauce as a replacement, or go for a granola bar, they have the sweetness to them but they also have some healthier alternatives with added nutrition that cookies and cakes can't give you. You may be craving…
  • I've been told that water blisters you can break but blood blisters you shouldn't. I had four on my feet from my shoes not fitting awhile back, broke all but one and they all healed about the same time. The only difference was the ones I broke burned and the skin that was on top peeled off leaving a nice open sore that my…

  • I can't make myself get up early enough to do a morning routine, but when I start my workouts I make sure to get a good walk in (if the weather and my son permits), do some circuit training (mostly DVD's like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred or Kinect games), and sometimes I throw some dancing in there (belly dance for me,…
  • Mixed nuts, granola, gum to give you something to chew with flavor but not actually eating, water to keep you full for a little while longer, Cheerio's (surprisingly easy to snack on) that's all I really have for suggestions on non-perishable foods to keep in the car.

  • Go for a walk instead of walking to the kitchen, replace your eating friend with a fitness one. If you get out and do something you may find yourself happier and involved with things that others may be doing causing you to find people friends too.
  • Most of the time I crave the same things sweet (mostly chocolate) and salty. I try to stay away but never seem to manage it. I've fallen into the cookies this month unfortunately. I did find that the pretzel m&m's are a great craving buster though. I force myself to exercise (though when I do I usually end up complaining…
  • Don't have much on suggestions. Watch your sodium intake and drink plenty of water is all I really have. Hopefully more people will give you an idea of what you can change in your diet. I wish you luck though.
  • Pay my debts off, buy a working vehicle, set up a college fund(for my son) and retirement fund(for my husband and myself), set a down payment on a house (want to build up credit so wouldn't pay it off completely), and set up a game/theater/man cave for my husband in the house. Then I would stop worrying about money and…
  • I still take an over the counter prenatal multivitamin. I didn't do much research into it, I did more research into my diet. When I became pregnant my first trimester was miserable, I couldn't eat hardly any meat so my doctor put me on a vegan multivitamin till I was able to eat meat again. I take Spring Valley and add a…
  • B*tch/ Nothing In Between by Meredith Brooks. I feel it describes me and just about every other woman out there. I am constantly changing my mood, attitude, and my ideas. I have lots of different responsibilities, and lots of titles. This is me and it has been and will be till I die. Oh and yes when I hear it I will sing…
  • Congrats on your pregnancy! I wish you and your growing family well. When I had questions about what to eat and what to do for exercise I asked my doctor first then I also looked it up in books and googled it. I loved finding most of my answers in What to Expect when Expecting. Really it did help. I ended up losing weight…
  • Mine sleeps and runs after things in her dreams. Unless she's walking with me then she's usually dragging her feet because she wants to mark every three feet.
  • Congrats on making it to the weight room :) Keep up the hard work and dedication.
  • There have been several posts like this. Many people feel they can't force themselves to eat more, others just don't know what to eat. Many people suggest eating things that are higher in calories but are still good for you- peanut butter, cheese, fruits, nuts, stuff like that. Or even eating more often, snacking along…
  • It's all a personal choice. If you are experiencing pain though it may not be the best thing to do, what's it going to feel like when you finish the 5k. But if you are that dedicated and have your heart set on it then it's your body and you choose what's important.
  • @calvert6183 I like your advice. I wish I could play his games with him, we have a tendency to be competitive and I am no good at controlling the camera which drives him insane. If it's about the feeling tired thing I understand it, I've left him alone for hours so that he can relax and have his time after work. I try not…

  • From what I've read you can't spot reduce. Maybe if you start incorporating weight lifting you could start to build muscle in your lower areas and tone up your core helping you all the way around.
  • It's just another way for someone to lose. If they can afford it and it works for them then by all means do it. For me on the other hand I'll go the long way and change my lifestyle to include a healthy diet and exercise.
  • Wow! Great inspiration, thanks for sharing :)

  • Don't starve yourself, do lots of research, drink plenty of water, and even though exercise is great for losing weight and looking great it is not necessary to do it. Also when asking questions in the forums be prepared for all sorts of different responses and try not to take things to personally (you can also look up…
  • @Discoveri I hope you achieve having kids if that's what you want. The only time I actually got my husbands attention more then a few times a month was when I was pregnant. Now it's all back to the way it was or worse since our son wakes up at times that ruin it.

  • @ ATBnAz Don't know who you're talking to but if I'm one of them, yes I've talked to my husband about how sex life is lacking interest, he put it all towards his age, and the fact that we don't seem to be interested at the same time. He says that I shouldn't be jealous of the gaming and that if I am interested to just let…

  • You could go farther than that and state that the best types of coffees come from beans that have already been digested by an animal. I love discovery channel. Oh and one of Jello's ingredients is the water bladder from a jelly fish. That one I looked up because I wanted to know what the scientific name meant. There are…
  • Cerdwin- I know what you mean. I'm 14 years younger then my husband and I have a much higher sex drive but he doesn't seem interested in anything else beside playing on the Xbox 360.

  • Married a gamer- wish I knew why he prefers gaming over sex :S I've actually stopped trying to get him into bed. If he's interested he comes to me (no I spelled comes right :blushing: ) He explains to me that he games to relax.

  • Besides active games like mentioned with the Wii, Kinect, or dancing games I don't think you burn many calories playing video games, as before mentioned probably about the same as watching tv. If you did my husband would be REALLY skinny. Good luck
  • From what I've read on many of the responses here, there is no way to spot reduce anything. However there are exercises that can help maintain or build muscle which will show up once your body fat is down to a certain percentage. Some exercises that I've found that are suppose to strengthen core and back would be;…
  • That is rather strange. I hope someone comes up with why you've gained inches there, I have no idea. However I would like to congratulate you on you NSV of having your clothes loosing up because of your weight loss.

  • I haven't gotten to the point of really toning up but I have seen several people on here with success stories from strength training and Insanity workout. I would suggest searching through the forums for some of those workouts. Also, I've been looking into the workings of muscles and workout positions and if you need an in…
