coffee and half a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and organic spinach. Not big on breakfast foods.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing your success! You rock!

If someone brings in chocolate chip cookies, I have trouble resisting. I allow myself to have 1. But it's hard to stop with 1. And there's anywhere from 150-300 calories per cookie! Crack cookies! Also I'm a sucker for homemade bread with butter. OMG!

I generally dislike breakfast food. Not a fan of oatmeal or yogurt. I prefer to make myself half a toasted sandwich with mashed avocado (salt & lime juice), tomato, spinach. Maybe a little deli lunch meat.. Or if you have some grilled chicken. Sometimes I'll switch it up and use basil pesto instead of an mashed avocado.…

I want to see this. Sounds intriguing.

If I have to label myself, I guess I'm just queer. I've been with my partner for almost 8 years. We both check out chicks and dudes. Who cares? It's not like we're gawking or making loud obnoxious comments about someone's boobs or package or whatever. It's not that we are any less devoted to each other. Anyway . . . .I…

Love Sushi! Lately I've been addicted to the seaweed salad.

Did your doctor check out your heart? Doctor's aren't always right. Be persistent. Perhaps it's psychosomatic . . .physical symptoms that arise from stuff that's going on emotionally. Any major stressors in your life?

I love to bake. Have a weakness for cookies. So yes, every once in a while I bake naughty, totally not healthy cookies and bring them into work to share. That way I get one, get the craving out of my system and the calories get shared. But I'm not a pusher. When we have potlucks on our unit and have a lot of food left…

I usually pack an Amy's frozen meal or Kashi frozen meal, luna bar, some type of fruit. Left overs if I have any. Those cute little boxes of soy milk.

I do weigh myself, but I gain up to 5 pounds those weeks and quickly lose it the following week. Just don't get discouraged. Just watch and wait. Not a week to record.

I would recommend eating at least 1200cals/day otherwise your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto everything you've got. From what I noticed you were under 1200 quite a few days. Hang in there. Keep logging in your foods. Keep exercising. Drink lots of water.

An amazing blog! Really put things into perspective how much hate fuels the world. And it's not just one group of people. It's all of us.

Yeah, I second that!

Dried prunes, flax seed and more water. Do you drink coffee? Coffee always helps. But if nothing is working, try a bottle of Magnesium Citrate. They use it for colonoscopy preps. Be prepared to be on the toilet all day. I would use that just to get started. It's not something you want to use on a regular or even…

I'm also a nurse. I work 12hr nights from 7pm-7:30am. I eat most of my calories by 2am leaving room for snacks a light bedtime snack (or everyone else's breakfast). I've never been one for breakfast food, so I actually have dinner when I get up around 4ish. Lunch around Midnight. The lightest eating closer to bedtime. I…

Ummm....yeah. That's the thing about studies...you can make statistics say whatever you want them to say. The study was probably paid for by Godiva or something. I'm come from a family of frequent chocolate eaters. We're all fat. Lies. Lies. All Lies.

Yeah, I gained 40 pounds in college. But it wasn't chocolate. Just too much food and lack of activity. Definitely keep healthy snacks in your room. Trader Joes has some freeze dried fruit that are totally low cal. Luna Bars are 180 cal snack bars with vitamins. They taste pretty good. Voges are mini chocolate bars about…

Get a dog sitter. We have a trusted neighbor stop by mid-day when we are working 12hr shifts. We also leave the TV on. She likes to watch TV. And we make it up to her on the our days off by going for super long walks.

It's amazing how many calories something turns out to be after you look it up or plug in a recipe. We made a Ganache Berry Tart a few weeks back. I knew it wouldn't be good. It was 900 calories per slice. That was half my day in calories. I brought it to work to share the horrific calories. But you're right. I would never…

I change my activity level to Sedentary on my days off and Lightly Active on my work days. I put on 10,000-18,000 steps at work, but I figure that's included in lightly active. On my days off, I count anything that is more than my usual routine whether that be working out, dog walking or rare household cleaning like…
