I've lost 60 lbs with walking as my exercise. Keep in mind that you still have to keep at a calorie deficit, but walking will get you through. It took me about 8 months to loose the weight. I walk a minimum of 5 miles per day at a pace of about 3.5 mph.

My numbers are good because I test and I use those test results as a guide to what I will eat at my next meal. If my first test of the day is over 100, I eat Zero carbs for breakfast. 3 hrs later I…

I gave up diet coke for 3 months, made no difference. Mostly I drink water or iced tea (unsweetened), now only occasionally (maybe once a week) have a diet coke.

I eat Steel Cut Oats in the morning - keeps you feeling full for a long time. Also have a 1 minute muffin recipe using ground flax seed that I add a scoop of protein powder to.

I would think that if you weaned off of it slowly you would not experience any dramatic changes in appetite because your body is already used to less food/sugar that you used to…

Type 2. I found out from routine blood work done as an annual exam. Did not have any symptoms, but looking back I did have all the typical symptoms. Had complained to various doctors who attributed it to many things, just not diabetes. I have a very strong family history of diabetes. Current treatment plan: on Metformin…
