My go-to drink is Malibu rum and diet coke. Still tastes tropical and sweet and it's only about 80 cals for 1oz of the alcohol. I make it last longer by pouring a tall glass or drinking a water in between each cocktail i have.

I love tomato sandwiches! My lunch will be Leftover Jambalaya w/ tofurkey sausage Cucumber slices drizzled with hot sauce

Try a couple of squares of good quality dark chocolate (if you like it). It will be rich enough that you don't need to eat very much of it. Other than that some of my favorite sweet snacks that won't do much calorie damage are sugar-free pudding, and Fiber One 90 cal bars and 90 cal brownies. Happy snacking!

I'm sure this isn't going to be a fun answer, especially with a 20 week old since you are probably arent sleeping much anyway, but getting up earlier than my son (18 months) has been the only way I can get a workout at home. He gets up around 8, so if I'm up at 6 I can exercise, shower and sometimes have the dishes done (a…

This might be a little young for your kids, but it was a hit with my son when I made homemade fingerpaint (really easy recipes online if you google). We put it in ziplock freezer bags, taped them to the sliding glass doors and made window art, sans the mess! If you ever browse Pinterest.com they have a million ideas there!

From my personal experience of trying a ton of products on the market that are supposed to tighten/firm skin, none of them have worked well enough to be worth the money I've spent on them. My skin is very stretched and sagging from pregnancy/weightloss. I lost 60lbs over the course of a year. I've pretty much decided that…

Carrot cake oatmeal sounds fantastic! Why have I never thought of that?

I've made the Lasagna Rolls Up and the Huevos Rancheros. Both were delish! I am trying the Baby Red Potato Salad tonight. I'll post how it turns out! Great website!

Well I don't fall in the 30-40 bracket (I'm 26), but I am a stay-at-home mom and I've lost 60lbs so far. I feel like I have about 10-15 more lbs to lose, so that makes our goals pretty similar. Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I would talk to a doctor again for sure, but taking a Vit B complex supplement helps keep me energized and it's also supposed to help with metabolism. Be sure you are eating enough protein as well. My son is also 18 months old, so I know how draining (and wonderful) it can be!

Yes, because you will still be netting only 1200. If you experience a slowing of your weight loss down the road, you might even consider raising your calories a bit...but cross that bridge when you get there!

You're going to get contradictory answers about exercise calories, but if you're sure that you should be set at 1200 calories (it's standard for MFP, but still pretty low) then in my opinion you should definitely be eating back the calories you burn at the gym. Eating 1200 calories and then burning, say, 300 calories…

Bump! Thanks!

Thanks. Sounds pretty similar to what I have been hearing from everyone. Maybe I need to do it more often than I have been.
-
Interesting! Do the lbs come back on on the days when you stay at 1400? Thanks for the advice, Dr. :blushing:
-
I'm definitely happy about it! I just wish it would stay off, what worries me is that as soon as I go back to calorie deficit my weight goes back up.
-
I also appreciate all of the support and advice!
-
Thanks alot! I read your advice on here often and I always appreciate what you have to say :)

I haven't heard of this before. Thank you, I will read more about it.

Thanks, I'll read this!

Yes, for sure. I feel like that is what helped me survive Thanksgiving!
-
Thanks for the input. The way you are doing it was the way I lost the first 1/2 of my weight and then it stopped working and thats originally bumped up to 1500. Looks like I need to refigure everything again.
-
Thanks for the resource, I will read into this. It makes sense, but the fat loss doesn't keep going. It goes back up as soon as I continue eating at 1500.
-
Thanks. Any idea how I can keep the result of this going? It seems like I am just bouncing the same few pounds around. As soon as I start back the 6 days of calorie controlled eating, my weight goes right back to where it was.
-
Thank you. Maybe my body is just getting too accustomed to what I've been doing and needs a change.
-
I know! Its not the kind of encouragement that I need!

I have my deficit set at 1 pound loss a week. About halfway through my weight loss I bumped it down from 2 lbs a week because of a plateau, so maybe I need to move it down to .5 a week now that I'm closer to my goal. Thanks for the idea!

I've never heard of this before, I I guess i will get to googling. Thanks!

My personal take on diet pills is that I've tried a ton in the past and none of them worked long term. But this time when I chose not to use any pills for this weight loss is was because I'm selfish...at the end when I've hit my goal weight, I want all the credit. When people ask how I did it I don't want to have to give…
