This is why I have skorts rather than shorts... no one can see the shorts riding up because of the skirt.

There's nothing wrong with chick lit... I love chick lits in summertime!

SInce book two to the Crossfire series doesn't come out until October, you might like to give Gabriel's Inferno a try after you read Bared to You.
-
I liked Bared and am waiting for Reflected to coume out in October!

Ditto! I actually thought Darker was the best of the three.

Afro Celt Sound System (Vol 2: Release and Vol 3: Further in TIme) Safri Duo Group (Episode II) A bit of Madonna, Peter Gabriel, THe Wanted, 3 Doors Down, Def Leppard I like the heavy bass/beat... not too many words, just strong music.

I want to hear what you have to say. I'm not a drinker (a drink a month tops - though none in the past seven months since joining MFP) and, so far, having to log the calories has been enough for me to abstain, but it is becoming more difficult to hold off on a weekend cocktail. I have nothing against alcohol, I simply…

Thanks! Sometimes, we Venusians need to be reminded of this!

Don't lie about an allegy! It's not believable nor is it respectful of your friend. If you prefer not to have the cake, be forthright. If, on balance, a small piece will make her happy, allow you to taste her homemade cake and let you not feel you're depriving yourself, then thoroughly enjoy that smal piece.

You've been a member here for over two years. You are very close to your goal. I think you know how to answer that for yourself. Your friend probably knows the journey you are on, but even if she doesn't, you know that a smallish slice won't set you back. Find the balance between the kindness your friend is giving you and…

That's why looking at Friends' diaries is helpful... you get ideas of other things to eat or you're reminded of foods you haven't had for a while. Check out other Foods & Nutrition boards for different foods / recipes.

Just finished Poughkeepsie!!! REALLY liked it!!! I've a handful of J. R. Wards patiently waiting in Mount TBR.

Just finished books 1 & 2 of Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking... liking dystopian societies of YA series. Waiting on Pandemonium, second book in Delirium series, from the library. Am starting Divergent series while I wait.
-
Night Circus was good. If you like Young Adult (Hunger Games like books), I'd recomment the Trylle trilogy by Anamda Hocking (tho I've only just finished the first two...). The Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver. The Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. Delirium and Divergent are of dystopian societies much like Hunger…

For me, it's simply getting on the machine that is the hardest. I have a cybex machine at home, which I love to workout on. My issue is just getting on!!! I can find many excuses to procrastinate (laundry, picking up things around the house...) , then my hubby says, "just start". Before I know it, I'm finished with my hour…

This fits me to a tee! I've thought about something small and hidden from everyone except my hubby... but then again, I'd rather not mar up what I've got.

Va va voom... you're gorgeous! Congratulations on your progress so far and my best wishes for your overall success! Thank you for posting your pictures to encourage others.

bump bump... too funny for one day!! gotta read more tomorrow

My family has pizza and spaghetti every Friday night... I cook separate spaghetti for myself as my hubby & kids don't care for Barilla Plus and I THOROUGHLY enjoy 1-2 slices of cheese pizza. I plan for this with my workout and watching my calories/macros at bfast & lunch. I LOVE Friday Night Pizza & Spaghetti!!! Plan for…

I don't know if this will help, but here's my two-cents... play with your macros a bit. You're already cutting down the carbs (I gather from your post), but maybe upping your carbs a bit or upping your protein may help. I had my macros set at MFPs default, and that was fine for the first 20-30 pounds. Since then, I've…
-
MFPs limits are not necessarily the right ratio for everyone. 40-something grams of protein does not work for my body. Read more about macros and customize your percentages to better suit your body. My ratio 40C - 30P - 30F. Though I usually don't reach my carb grams with healthy food, I continue to lose weight with the…

I update my weight when I think about it -- usually a month late. I use an online calculator to compute my VO2Max as my Polar gives we wildly erratic numbers, so that gets entered in manually. As my RHR is probably as low as it's going to get for a while, that number doesn't need to be changed much.
-
I second the notion of exercise to earn extra calories! Also there are MANY people here who focus on their weekly totals rather than daily. Borrow the idea from them... work out a bit longer tomorrow to cover today's overage.

I've had this too once in a while. I'm not an avid runner -- I usually run/walk/run... There have been times when I've resumed running after a waling "break". My HRM screams beeps at me since I'm well over my max heart rate. I don't have the answer as to why, though know you're not alone.
