Do people wonder why eating disorders are on the increase when someone with a figure like that gets such negative comments. I do not follow her antics but from the scraps that I have seen there must be loads to have ago at her for, but the shape of her body is not one of them. How many of the people who have said she is…

People using the equipment that I want to use. Selfish I know, but then that is about all that annoys me at the gym.

When you up your calories you probably up your sodium as well so the amount of water being retaining has probably gone up. If you accurately track your calories in and calories out and the former is less than the latter you will not be putting on fat. Whenever you change your diet either by food type, more calories or…

I would not have the high energy drinks whilst working out as I am trying to lose weight, partly by diet partly by working out. Although you will be getting the fitness benefit from the workout you will be losing the weight loss benefit if you drink back the calories whilst doing the work out.

you can have a healthy diet whilst avoiding all those. if you want a breaded effect on meat or fish try oats. There are lots of tomato based sauces with either herbs and/or spices. (rather than milk based sauces) I cannot remember the recipe but cauliflower pancake type things look good for a bread type substitute.…

Yea her hair is a bit long she could do with it being cut.

If it happens to me, yes I would log the increase. But Friday is my proper weigh day so the times I go on the scales Saturday to Wednesday (I ban myself from going on the scales on Thursday) do not get logged no matter what they say.

protein will help you build muscle mass. Your weight may go up a little bit if you are gaining muscle mass quicker than you are burning fat but this is not a bad thing. That being said you are unlikely to put on muscle quicker than you burn fat unless you are going down the gym regularly lifting heavy weights. For protein…

Loving them is one thing, overindulging is something different.

Started at 396, down to 326, getting close to half way (I think)

1Lb of fat = 3500 calories. Your weight change = calories in - calories out. For a simplified version of calories out: BMR x activity level (see tools) + exercise. so if you want to lose 1lb a week you should eat 500 (3500/7) calories fewer than your calories out per day. One of the keys to this is to track everything you…

If you eat more the little pixies come and make a home in your belly and magic away your fat.

I found a couple on the net so putting them here to share (and bump) Quick and Easy Brownie 2 scoops casein protein powder 1 tsp Stevia water for consistency Mix all into consistency of pudding, adding water slowly. Eat as is or microwave until it is cooked like a cake. Start with 30 seconds, check it, and keep adding 15…

Where was it said how much the OP was eating.

I would not try and make up for it over one day, if anything either cut down very slightly on your food or push yourself a little harder with the exercise over the next week or so. One nights break will not ruin a diet unless one night turns into one weekend that turns into one week that turns into one month etc.

I am still wearing the same suit and shirts that were tight when I started to lose weight. It does make me look like a bit of a clown but people cant but help notice.
-
It could also be that the high level of exercise is putting on muscle as fast as the fat is going. Look at a few more signs than just the scale, have you been taking measurements either inches or body fat %age?

Beat me to it

Eat more is such a rubbish reply. No info was put about diet there. Also if eating more helps you reduce weight I would be a skeleton as I was eating way more than I should for the majority of my life.

judging by what you have said can people of standard BMI have a social life? I think they can and they do, I certainly remember quite a few thin to normal sized people out when I used to go out on the town at the weekend. If you have been overdoing it and overweight you have to cut back to reduce weight, don't worry it…

unless you put in your weight to the gym equipment it will only give you an approximate average. For me the average is way less than other calculations (but I am a 300+ lb male) An example 40 mins on the cross trainer. Without putting my weight into equipment it said I burnt 450 cals in 40 mins. Putting my weight into…

I hope that this was meant to be sarcasm.

As much as people say keep off the scales, I am so glad that I am tracking my weight I cannot see a difference in my belly even with a 70lb loss so far. I know there must be one because of the scales and my trousers but seeing it is something different.

I was so chuffed when Ace of Base were the first band that I saw at my uni. (although AC/DC were a lot better when I went to see them, yes my music taste is just a little eclectic)

Wow you look amazing.

I remind myself that (for me) it was a lot harder to start to change my lifestyle than resist temptation.

erm? calories burnt walking is dependent on distance. Weight in KG * distance in KM = energy burnt in KJ to move an object typically people are about 25% energy efficient whilst walking so multiply the KJ result by 4 to get the amount of KJ you have burnt. 1 kilojoule = 0.238845897 calorie (nutritional) so use that to…
-
you can either divide the distance by 2 or 3 to approximate how many hours you walked for and log it as walking at 2 or 3 miles per hour. MFP does work out your basic calorie rate depending on your activity level so I would not count walking about during my usual activities, saying that accurately monitoring your calories…

easy, change the name of your meals so the last one of the day is lunch.
