  • Best thing you can do is get your butt to the gym regardless of how lethargic you are. Even if you just decide to do a lighter workout, you will feel better if you stay active. Make sure no hard to resist foods are in the house, reduce caffeine intake, drink a ton of water and get plenty of sleep. Unfortunately there is no…
  • I'm interested in this type of scan myself. How much did it cost you and where did you get it done? Did you have to be referred through your doctor? *EDIT: I found one at the University here. Looks like it's 40 bucks. I'm a little freaked to figure out what my % is. I've never tried any method at all so I have no clue what…
  • I have to agree with everyone's advice here. If you are committed, you will do it. I know it can be harder to stick to you budget on the weekends, but I really don't understand how you could just get temporary amnesia and "forget" you are doing this on the weekend for some reason. - It's a weird concept for me, but if that…
  • As long as you commission from a reputable person and you are happy with the costume and feel great in it, all is good! Even some of the most talented cosplayers I know commission things from time to time. For instance, maybe you are good at props but you suck at sewing or the other way around? Cosplay is about showing…
  • I think the easiest route to take would just be to sit her down and explain what you are doing to her. Let her know that you love her cooking and you will miss it, but for now you are going to be making your own meals.
  • If you are female your weight will can easily fluctuate 1-5 lbs during the month depending on where you are in your cycle. The week prior to and during your period it is common to hold on to water weight.
  • Hey! I recognize that pink Dalek! haha Looks like we are both CONvergence attendees. Are you local or do you travel in for CON? CONvergence is THE BEST.
  • Cant name one. Have a good long "favorites" list though: Bebop Champloo Evangelion Last Exile Princess Mononoke Howls Movine castle Fruits Basket Spirited Away Full Metal Alchemist Elfen Lied Trigun Full Metal Panic Death Note Toradora Haruhi Suzymia Mushi-shi Welcome to the NHK Chobits Paranoia Agent Ninja Scroll Ouran…
  • This is not in the least irrational to rage about. Everyone SHOULD rage about it. People that do this are the worst.
  • Ugh, yes. So hypocritical and completely nonsensical. I have had so many talks about this with my in-laws and they refuse to listen to any sort of reason so I gave up. http://www.cracked.com/article_22004_5-surprising-insider-facts-about-welfare.html
  • I really don't think it's as controversial as people are making it. We constantly have underweight gals without a lot of muscle tone thrown in our faces in magazines etc. and it's just "par for the course" (and no, I'm not implying all underweight girls are unhealthy AT ALL.) We know it can be bad for us to be overweight,…
  • You may want to add these links to your original post OP: http://www.etonline.com/news/159150_ashley_graham_rocks_tiny_bikini_sports_illustrated_swimsuit_ad/ http://www.net-a-porter.com/magazine/280/11
  • ...but you ARE doing it. You've lost 24lbs already. That's proof you can do it. Now, do you want it bad enough? That's the question you have to ask yourself. You are perfectly capable. Reach way down and find that drive girl. You got this.
  • haha Yeah. I think that's why narcissistic parenting is as common as it is. Having kids as an extension of yourself isn't really a healthy approach I don't think. We can leave a legacy in many different ways. Dogs are great :)
  • I used to get this ALL THE TIME. I'm 33 and I've yet to "get the itch" but the truth is that since my early twenties I have always been open to the idea that I could possibly change my mind later in life, it just hasn't happened. It didn't stop pretty much everyone from telling me "Oh, you will" or treating me like there…
  • We were talking about this earlier in the post. Those "thinking-ahead" folks are the ones that are jamming up traffic so they aren't truly "thinking ahead."
  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! *cries* http://mashable.com/video-categories/featured/videos/4031894016001
  • I love Helena too. That's why it's hard for me to pick! Helena, Allison and Cosima are all brilliant.
  • Nope, the big one's here are Cub Foods (huge, bad produce,) Rainbow (similar to Cub but smaller usually,) Lunds and Byerly's (good stuff, super expensive.) Believe it or not the best deals on GOOD produce around here is Whole Foods and the local co-op, which is strange because they jack the prices on pretty much everything…
  • Nice way of looking at it. "Free" doesn't always equate to comfortable, not right way anyhow. Random sidebar: I clicked on your profile because I was mesmerized by muscles in your profile pic (you rock btw) and I took a peek your food diary. It made me sad because.....KROGER! We don't have Krogers here. I lived in TN for a…
  • A lot of good advice here already. Yes, calorie counting is daunting at first and it can make you more obsessed with food. For most though, that feeling passes (as does the intense hunger as long as you are meeting all your nutritional goals.) It just takes time and persistence. After a while it becomes second nature and…
  • Yeah, I guess if people aren't aware it's really no ones fault. Folks think they are being polite or "doing the right thing" by getting over early and then they get upset and wont let others in because they believe those people are being jerks. Honestly, it would probably do us all some good to take some refresher courses…
  • Isn't it just a general rule already though? I didn't think it changed from city to city. Our state is indeed enforcing it. The signs that warn you are doing just that "merge ahead" not "merge now." The warning signs are to make you aware that people will be soon merging into your lane and you should let them. :)
  • And therein lies the problem. "The decent people merge when they can and the and the scumbags rush to the front" Those "scumbags" are actually doing it properly. It's become such an issue here that there have been commercials and radio spots put out telling people to stop getting over early and merge at the merge point in…
  • It's definitely doable, you just need to plan carefully. It takes a while to get used to. It helps a lot to make sure that you aren't only staying within your calories, but you are also meeting your nutritional requirements (that will keep you feeling more full.) That might mean a big change in what you normally eat. It's…
  • ....but no seriously, if you read back in the thread, there was one guy had clearly swallowed The Red Pill whole and was currently choking on it. I'm sure that's what she was referring to.
  • I'm gonna second this. Realizing it is a good first step and a step in the right direction. However, this will be hard to break on your own. Look into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Maybe see if there are any that practice in your area (check their credentials.) Don't let the fear hold you back! Good luck!

  • Your first Doctor was Matt Smith? Have you gone back to watch any of the other Doctors at all?
