  • I do love jalapeños with sardines, mackerel, and I add them with meats like pork tenderloin. They have just enough kick, I don’t want any more than that.
  • I’m sure your fatty liver will be back to normal soon once you those cut out those processed foods. Bananas are a sugar rush, much too high of a carb count for me.
  • I’m heavily meat based so I don’t eat many. Some days I make veggie smoothies with cocoa and stevia to mask the taste of the veggies. I like cheap veggies like carrots, onions, and cabbage that you can get several lbs. for a few dollars here in the U.S. Arugula is a little more expensive but is high in nitrates which make…
  • Thanks for the lists. I think lemon water is great to help the liver out but so is getting the right proteins and fats. I don't see myself eating that many fruits except avocados and some berries when in season.
  • Thanks for the lists. I think I might add mushrooms. I love mushrooms in browned butter with some minced garlic, maybe with a steak.
  • I’ve gotten asparagus for $1 a lb. and berries I can get for usually $2 a pint in season. Sometimes the prices are outrageous though. That being said I’d rather spend money for a grass fed steak. Ribeye was $12.99 a lb usually $16.99 but I had to pass it up because it was still too expensive. I bought top round, bottom…
  • I guess I'll try it if I'm ever diagnosed with cancer. Blueberries and blackberries are very tasty. I like berries with heavy cream. Raspberries are pretty good too. I've never had Elderberries. I believe it that all this stuff is anti-cancer. I try to eat mostly meat though. Maybe I'll die of colon cancer from all the…
  • My choline pills have inositol in them(vitacost brand). I guess they work together? like most of the B vitamins. Eggs and meat have inositol but the websites I looked up said fresh fruits and veggies have the most. Inositol is also found in meat sources and eggs. While meat sources are rich in inositol, it is important to…
  • Keeping with the topic of the OP(which I haven't for most of the posts), when I used to eat flax I would grind it up and mix with yogurt. I'd add cocoa, peanut butter, almond butter, stevia, chia seeds, and/or brewer's yeast(most people don't like the taste) and mix together and let sit in the fridge for an hour or so.
  • @Emmapatterson1729 For apricots, how do you crack the stone open and eat the kernel? I've read it can cause cyanide poisoning if you eat too many? how many do you have a day? I love apricots any way. I wouldn't eat many because I prefer almost all animal products but maybe a cheat snack, I'd have one. Strawberries are…
  • I'm all about the Redmond brand. Redmond Real salt, Redmond clay, and Redmond Earthpaste(Toothpaste) (cinnamon flavored) are all good. It's a mined sea salt from an ancient sea that I guess? was part of the great salt lake in Utah.
  • Fantastic! Low carb and the knowledge of this group has helped me so much in the last few years.
  • I’ve been taking lots of nu-salt(potassium chloride) and Redmond real salt and today my blood pressure was 123/78 pulse 73 which is amazing for me. I always thought I was salt sensitive but I slowly added more and more salts to my water and felt better from it. I’m going to call the doctor and get off my meds. I’ll look…
  • I agree with you to try anything and everything you can that sounds reasonable if you have cancer. I’ve been reading Aajonus Vonderplanitz’s book and he is about raw meat to help with issues like cancer which is funny because the Gerson therapy recommends carrot and lettuce juice and used to recommend raw liver for cancer…
  • I’m glad I haven’t had to deal with cancer yet myself. Sounds like you’ve had a tough time with it. Most Doctors only know drugs and have limited education on nutrition. All thanks to the pharmaceutical corporations.
  • Can you afford fresh steak every day? Have you tried high dose vitamin c? Sorry to hear you have such problems, I don’t think I can help but I tried. http://doctoryourself.com/allergies.html
  • Alternative health has taught me so much. I’m thankful for the GAPS diet, low carb, and carnivore which has saved my health.
  • Some prebiotic fiber foods
  • Medical boards can be jerks and bring up charges for doctors that recommend alternative therapies. I looked up the charges and they had nothing to do with the iodine PCOS theory. I know quite a few doctors that have had trouble with medical boards for recommending keto or carnivore. I also found this video:…
  • I've read iodine deficiency could play a role in PCOS. https://womensinternational.com/portfolio-items/polycystic-ovary-syndrome-pcos/ "According to Dr. Jorge Flechas, PCOS is a scar tissue disease caused by a lack of iodine. He suggests that low iodine levels are responsible for the production of cysts, nodules, growths,…
  • https://kidneystones.uchicago.edu/how-to-eat-a-low-oxalate-diet/ Kidney stones and gallstones, aw hell, that's a nightmare. Check this list for high oxalate foods. I wouldn't worry about all the foods on the list but mostly the top 6.
  • Do you like steaks? I'll have that with a little sour cream or butter. Stick with meat, seafood, and dairy like sour cream, butter, cream cheese, heavy cream, and low carb cheese.
  • https://tools.myfooddata.com/nutrient-ranking-tool.php?nutrient=Fiber&foodgroup=All&sortby=Highest&servsize=Common&list=Simple&spices=No Top 200 Foods in fiber. You can change the serving size to 100 grams or 200 calories. Rose hips are tasty and high in vitamin c. I'd also go with avocados, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. I'm…
  • Kidney stones are terrible, I feel for you. I actually read that baking soda can pass acidic kidney stones so I tried it and it was gone. No pain after that, No pain meds besides the hospital iv. I take potassium citrate, chelated magnesium, and vitamin c now to help stop kidney stones.
  • Flax seed, chia seed, and soy are not in my diet anymore. I’ve read other legumes like peanuts may increase estrogen in the body as well.
  • They told me I had a fatty liver from a MRI when I had a kidney stone about 5 years ago. I bought some milk thistle seeds and powder years ago but never took them. I think it’s about time.
  • I think choline helps the liver as well. It's found in liver and egg yolks. I've had a fatty liver for years as far as I know but my liver enzymes have been fine.
  • You might want to look into the Gut And Psychology Syndrome(GAPS) Diet. It's for auto-immune disorders. I'm currently following carnivore where I eat mostly steaks, eggs, liver, kefir, cheese, sour cream, and other animal products which should also work.
  • I love Spanish peanuts with melted chocolate. They do make good candies. Pecans and hazelnuts are even better.
  • Steak and beef liver are very satiating foods.
