Elliptical for me. I like the low impact as my knees go through enough stress. Also, i think it depends on what type of elliptical you are using. I use the Precore one with cross ramp technology on a resistance of 10. LOVE IT =)

The future is just to long to plan for. I will use it for as long as i feel the need to. i have never been much of a journal-er... but apparently research shows that you can have better results when you do journal... so journal journal journal. It may take some additional time.. but it is all about priorities

What areas are you wanting to tone/ have nice definition with? You can use your own body weight to start with. Once I am done my run/walk i use google maps to figure out how far i went. So if I did 2 miles in 3o minutes I log it as either a run or a walk for 4mph. it is not perfectly exact, but close enough for me. depending on what app you are using there may be a built in GSP to your run that you can access for distance. i love straws too! a squirt of lemon juice is my favourite addition. I always make sure to have my water bottle with my in my car. for some reason, i tend to get thirsty when driving.. and can sometimes drink 1-2 cups just during my commute.
