My husband does 99.5% of the cooking in our house. He's a very good cook, but is very heavy handed with the salt shaker and the oil and butter. He knows I don't want a lot of that in my meals. If it's a meal that he can keep separate, then we both have our own separate portions. One for his decadent delicious hi-cal…

I'm sure everyone's story is different. I started this journey last year around Valentine's Day. I noticed my clothes getting much looser at about 15 pounds down. Other people didn't really comment until I had lost a lot more -- 40 pounds or so. I think part of the reason is because my husband and I are losing weight…

lol - it's taken me 23 years to seriously resolve to lose the baby weight. I started on Valentine's Day, and after 10+ months, I'm almost to my goal.

My son-in-law made us some delicious pork chops. I've never had them so tender. I'm liking this sous vide cooking technique.

Nov 30 - 168.1 Dec 30 - 168.8 It's been a roller coaster month. My lowest was 164.5. The last few days have been sodium filled. I attribute the gain to water retention.

I started out at 225, so I was exactly where you are. I finally lost most of my baby weight. (oops My youngest is 23 years old. :embarassed: ) Feel free to add me. :flowerforyou:

In the last week or so, I've experienced this three times, all by family members. My brother asked if I was sick because I was so skinny. Both my mom and my aunt told me not to lose anymore weight. My mom even told me to gain some weight but only in my face. I just shrugged it off. I was actually flattered that my brother…

I got the book and have been trying to read it so I get a feeling for the program before I start. Feel free to add me for the new group. I definitely need to tone up and it would be nice to be in a group of others that are just starting out.

I rarely have diet soda anymore. It was always a mainstay in the house, but i don't have the desire to drink it. I have one can in the fridge at work, and it's been there for weeks. I would rather grab the bottle of water that's next to it.

This sounds delicious! I may have to try it. Thanks! :flowerforyou:

That's pretty much the same way my mom always makes them too. This year she passed the torch to us. I thought I might try something different. I just don't know what.

Here's an article I came across awhile ago. Why the Scale Goes Up When You Start a New Workout Plan By Chalene Johnson Probably the most common question I get when I release a new exercise program is, "Help! I'm gaining weight! Am I doing something wrong?" This is a common phenomenon with any new exercise program, such as…

This is a big one for me. When I started, my family wouldn't always take 'no thank you' for an answer. I've finally come to the point that I only have to say it once, and they quit badgering me about eating. It's wonderful!

Hi! Thanks for the group invite. I'm Karen from Illinois. I'm about a week away from 49 and I'm happily over 50 pounds lighter than I was a year ago. I have about 20 pounds to go. These are the hard ones. :)

there is a group - "Fitbit Users" - that has a lot of information/explanation of various fitbit issues. It helped me at least understand what it was supposed to do for me.
