Bringing lunches to work makes it easy. Coworker is joining me for 30 days of keto. 04/04 197 - Looks like I'm still on track with…
  • Joining in for my first round. Back on the keto wagon as of April 1st, since it seems to be what works best for my body. Struggling with SSRI weight gain. Trying to lose a bit before my Memorial weekend wedding (yay for corset backs). I have 50 days as of today, so that's 5 rounds. Female Age 42 - 5'9" April 1st SW: 202.8…
  • I only started doing cardio a few months ago, and slacked for a month while I was going through some stuff, but I noted last night that my average heart rate has gone down by 30 bpm since I started cardio. I also dug out a dress I haven't worn in a decade and while it's a wee bit snug, it fits again.
  • Thankfully my office is big enough that when someone brings in snacks like this, they are usually left in an area that aren't near me. Or they'll be brought around and offered but I'll just say, "No thanks". Sweets aren't my weakness though, as much as savouries are. My problem is when people are eating lunch at their…

  • I unfortunately cramp pretty bad for the first 2-3 days, which makes any intense workout a write-off. I also need to watch my clutz factor a few days leading up to it because risk of injury increases. Fun times! I might consider yoga for the medium to mild pain days though.
  • I'm 5'9" and my starting and goal weights are the same as yours. I started a new routine 2 weeks ago and am 5 down. I am serious about not letting myself slack off again! I think the "look better than your ex, dammit!" thought is my strongest motivation. ;)
  • Some places do indeed discriminate, but not all. I work for a web development company that is very casual in terms of dress. I have a lot of tattoos, dyed hair and a lip ring. No one cares. However, if I worked in the PR department of the company I would not be able to get away with the same look, as they are all about…
  • Sadly, it was in fact just a viral marketing scheme and they are indeed actors. That said... yeah, I've done my share of kissing strangers but parties in your twenties are not the same thing as putting two sober people together and saying, "Now GO!"
  • Wow, I think you're mirroring what I've been going through. We've been together for over 10 years. This all exploded 2 years ago and I decided after a brief separation to try and make it work but I think we're both unable to fully move past it all. It makes me very sad, because he's my best friend and a huge part of my…
  • I think we all do it, honestly, or we wouldn't be here! :)
  • I understand where you're coming from on that. I haven't been going out with friends much lately because it's cold and it's too much temptation to eat and drink over my allowance, but now my home and work lives have both been very stressful and I feel like I don't have anywhere that's my own sanctuary to destress. I got so…
  • I love, love, LOVE the stuff. My coworker ordered a case of it so I got hooked on it from him. I had been buying light peanut butter before, but that stuff has hydrogenated oils in it and really isn't great for you. Sure, I could go for the "real" stuff but I would be sacrificing too much elsewhere.
  • Don't worry, you never get used to it! I'll be 36 soon and I still don't feel like I'm in my thirties yet. Nor do I really want to.
  • I too, have realized how fast it comes back on when you don't watch it. I'm getting myself back on track but having a partner who doesn't respect the need to have the chips out of the house doesn't help my willpower. I'm going to the gym on my lunch break as well. It's not much, but it's better than nothing at all. Anyone…
  • Another Dresden girl here (75% through the latest book - gahhh!) but I also have room in my heart for Phedre and Joscelin from the Kushiel series and Jaime Lannister from the Song of Ice & Fire books (he's not at the point in the show yet).
  • That's obviously a decision that requires both partners, as it affects both people heavily. My best friend offered to surrogate for me, which I think is the most beautiful and thoughtful thing a person could have offered me after my emotional years of struggling with infertility. However, her husband was not comfortable…
  • Thank you! I just logged into the forums today because I was feeling down about getting off track. I'm ready to get back on starting now! :)
  • Here's the latest one I'm working on... Lower half in progress: Upper half in progress: The area in the middle that's not filled in is based on this painting by Yosh itaka Amano: The little dragon in her hair for my tattoo is based on a dragon Amano did for Final Fantasy. Edited for the fact the poor man's name was edited…
  • Lady Ruby Wexford Winters - It actually sounds a bit snooty! That's it, I'm changing my name at work.
  • That's absolutely my fave beer! It used to have an even higher percentage of alcohol when it was just available on tap at a few places but they had to change things up for the LCBO rules. I'll give the Antigravity a try. It's dangerous, but there's an LCBO below my office. :D
  • That's a great list! Thanks to everyone for their suggestions so far.
  • Oh, I have no plans to totally ditch good beers. I love them too much. But there are those days that I don't *want* to drink less of it and exercise simply isn't happening. I absolutely understand the "just drink good beer, exercise and drink less of it", and I agree mostly. But this thread's not asking for that.
  • This pretty much sums it up: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/670c0ffed5/psa-an-important-message-from-women-everywhere
  • Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm reading "The Strain" trilogy by Guillermo del Toro (the director of Pan's Labyrinth) & Chuck Hogan. I'm currently on the last book, "The Night Eternal". I sure was thinking, "Ugh another vampire story?" but I was blown away. These aren't romantic or pretty, in any way. It's a virus that…
  • Girls in Playboy/Penthouse/Other Smut Here were born in the '90s.
  • Some of us do find BDSM appealing and have more than half a brain. That said, there are varying degrees and facets of the lifestyle that don't require one to give over their entire life and much like how useless Bella was in Twilight, it's the 20 year old ignorant girl-child part I find least appealing. I'm glad it's less…
  • There was a lot of booze and late nights while we built Chichen Itza on my Minecraft server using no ops cheats on hard survival mode. I'm rather proud. Now I need a break from it for a while.... Gah!
  • It's industrial, DnB or dubstep for me. My current "Eff you, I have energy!" song is Noisia's "Machine Gun" (16 bit remix).
  • People who don't put their cellphones on vibrate and then leave their desks and no one answers it. I don't want to hear what crappy music choices you have or "clever" ringtone you chose! VIBRATE, dammit!
  • I love shaved heads. I especially love about two days' growth when it's like Velcro but its fun to touch. However, if a guy has an obvious receding hairline, it's best to go totally bald and not let it grow in. But hey, that's only my opinion. No matter what, if you're losing hair, don't try to prolong it. Just bite the…
