A good guideline is to ask yourself if you can hold a conversation while running. If you're too out of breath, you're going way too fast. Slow it down and see if it gets easier. You can add more speed later as you build endurance.

One unhealthy meal shouldn't be the reason you quit.

Sure you would, you need to make different choices. You need to focus on long term not short term.

Not sure where in Canada you are, but I have Marshalls near me. Winners is pretty much the same store.

Your focus should be on doing something sustainable for a lifetime.

I've seen a lot of recommendations for the program. I'm probably going to try the half marathon program - novice 1.

Definitely make sure you're consuming enough water. Otherwise, being tired after your first workouts is normal, you're pushing your body beyond what it is used to.

I use the ios app YogaStudio. I intersperse my routines with doyogawithme.com.

I tried it when I first started out, before I knew better. The food was awful. It included a rehydrated hamburger. Most of it tasted like cardboard. I returned the food and got my money back.

I eat less of it. Sometimes I buy the brown pasta and sometimes rice pasta, but overall I just eat regular white pasta.

oh that race looks like fun. I would google a training plan or join a running group.

I reassess my goals all the time. Once you get to where you think you want to be, take a look at yourself and decide. There's no set rule that says you have to stick with a specific number.

Bagel with cream cheese. Oh and a coffee. I was busy ironing this morning and ran out the door without time to grab breakfast or lunch.

I prefer the outdoors where the scenery changes. A treadmill feels a lot like a hamster on a wheel.

I'm off running for the week, so yoga.

Read this is cadbury creme egg salad. I was both intrigued and disgusted.

Although 50lbs is my goal, I don't have a celebration planned.

I haven't done it, but it will be like any other program. Keep at it and you'll realize one day that you can do it and much more.
