Lots of useful advice! I agree with going for more lean protein and salad, and this is what I try to do. @vismal, good points, and I am aware that most likely what I ate is more than that. I tried to be as accurate as possible when I logged this meal to see what is the minimum of calories it could have been. I usually up the quantities to give me a bit more room. I've been craving greek food, so my bento for tomorrow has greek lentil stew, boiled cauliflower with olive oil and lemon, rusk, olives and a few slices of radish (sorry for the crappy pic)

I just realized I haven't posted my progress at all this month. I was on travel until Jan 20 and could not keep track of my walking until then, but since I got back I immediately resumed my daily walks (thanks to my dog! :) ) I'm now at 29.2km total, out of 30km for this month.

For me the most wonderful effect of consistent exercise is its effect in my daily life. I'll be on travel for most part of January and although I'll be walking as much as I can, I'm not sure I'll be able to log it. So the goal for this month is just 30km, for about the 10 days I'll be home.

Not a very good pic or food styling, but this was delicious. I've been playing a lot with my pancake recipe lately to reduce its calories and this is a nice version of oatmeal chocolate chip pancakes. The chocolate syrup is not my favorite but I just want to get rid of it...
