  • I understand right where you're at. I just finished up NROLFW and have gone back and forth a bit on what to do next. I have a personal trainer friend who is into Crossfit and he offered to design some workouts for me that involve some heavy lifting, but are more like circuit training than the previous workouts in NROL. He…
  • Right now it's all Rise Against and Breaking Benjamin. It kicks *kitten*!
  • Looking at my own reflection When suddenly it changes Violently it changes Oh no, there is no turning back now You've woken up the demon in me -Disturbed The best way To make it through With hearts and wrists intact Is to realize Two out of three ain't bad -Fall Out Boy You lied to me But I'm older now And I'm not buying…
  • I agree with this. It was true to my experience. Happy running!
  • Rise Against, Savior. I've been trying to win concert tickets the last week and a half and can't get their songs out of my head.
  • The Tree of Utah. This is located out in the Salt Flats, near the eastern border of Nevada. The artist put it there because the Salt Flats create a sea of flat, white nothingness and he wanted to give people something to look at. It is a very odd landmark, lol. I don't know if it has meaning behind it or not.
  • I grew up in Texas and live in Utah. There are big misconceptions about both places. Utah is more than a bunch of small-minded mormons. Texas is more than a bunch of gun-toting badasses... wait, no, that's right about Texas.
  • I have the Zumba game and it is pretty fun. Any of the dance games I've tried on Kinect get old fast though. I still prefer old school DDR to them. The most fun game I've tried on Kinect is Kinect Sports. You already mentioned it, but incase anyone else is wondering. It can be quite a workout. My husband has yet to beat me…
  • Seeing how I hold my tongue every 999/1000 times, I'm going to go ahead and take this opportunity to b*tch a little. I wouldn't say this pisses me off, just makes me roll my eyes. Fake people. Fake meaning trolls, backstabbers, and/or people who have full-of-****-itis. It is so f*cking obvious when some people lie. We know…
  • I can't do this without hurting some feelings, because I have different categories for BFF, like... my girls that have been with me from the beginning, the badasses that inspire the most, people I have the most in common with, etc, etc... so I will do the standard thing of saying 90% of my friends, but I really, sincerely…
  • I had a bad night of sleep and instead of continually trying in vain to go back to it, I got up and have listened to Rise Against for the last hour and a half. I freaking love them!
  • I like them. It is helpful or at least interesting to see how other people think and what they do. I also think it is important for people to realize that a survey is a collection of opinions and it should not be the sole influencer of a decision, such as changing a person's caloric intake.
  • AvoDerm Natural, a line by Breeder's Choice. (I don't have kids, so I spend money on my dog, lol). It is made with very high quality, natural ingredients. Avocado is a main ingredient in all the flavors of AvoDerm. Along with all the other health benefits of avocado, the natural fats are very good for coat health. My dog…
  • Invest the great majority of it, but then pay off all the debt for each of my family members, buy both my dad & his wife and my mother-in-law RVs, and spend an absurd amount of money on the most deluxe family reunion.. flying everyone out, 5 star resort, etc. Oh, and take like 4 months to go backpacking all through Europe…
  • This. We're in this together and support goes both ways. At one point, I had a huge friends list and many people never interacted with me except to demand the "secrets" to success. I want to help when and where I can, but I'll be damned if it is going to be expected. I love the friends I have now, while my list is small,…
  • We've had such a nice winter here in Utah. I was able to do my first trail run last week. That said, there was just a big snow dump this morning in the mountains. I'm ready to hike again! For now, I'll have to live through my MFPeep, Viv, who lives in Colorado Springs. We are both mountain girls who love to hike. I would…
  • After losing nearly 100 lbs, I started serious weight training this last October for the first time in my life with NROLFW. I missed a few weeks near the beginning of the program, so now I'm on Stage 6. In that amount of time, I have worked my way up to: lat pulldown - 150 lbs. split squat - 145 lbs. dumbbell work - 35 and…
  • Weighted split squats. They're also the exercise I'm best at, lol. I push hard and it almost, ALMOST scares me to do them.
  • Zero. I am doing negative chinups now though, near the end of NROLFW.
  • Homemade seafood pasta is what's for dinner tonight. My 'go to' meals are turkey meatloaf/yams/salad, crockpot chicken/salad, chicken, chicken, oh and chicken! ..I'm about to add a new one I plan to make a lot, turkey chili.
  • For me, it is always the beginning. I feel like I take a good 1/2 mile to a mile to get warmed up, loosen up the joints, get the muscles working, etc.. then it's on!
  • Almost everything from a secondhand store and almost everything a label. If I can get $10 Calvin Klein jeans, then I can get over that they were slightly worn by someone else. This winter I paid $5 for a pair of Nine West boots. There wasn't anything wrong with them!
  • I have always listened to music while running, ALWAYS. I have to try to start training without it though because I'm training for the Tough Mudder, which I'm sure doesn't allow it, or it would at the very least ruin any ipods/phones/etc. It's going to be hard. Music is very motivational to me.
  • I would fall under your second category. I was Primal for about 4-5 mos. sometime last year. I shed some fat, but ultimately I did not like it. It was not an eating plan I could stick with. I found myself obsessing about keeping my carbs so low that things like healthy eating took a backseat. I just focus on a good,…
  • I couldn't come up with what I thought, so I asked my husband. He gave it a fantasy/sci-fi spin and came up with Jade Firenzi for me. He said he would change his name to Max Power.
  • 1. My time/focus/drive. 2. Gym membership - love running outdoors, have seen the best results with lifting though. 3. Good attire (supportive sports bra, quality running shoes, etc.)
  • free meal! This Saturday will make two weeks and I think I'll go just a little nuts with calories and alcohol, lol. It IS St. Patrick's Day afterall. :)
  • *high five* ..just because I feel less weird now, lol. Everyone thinks I'm a freak for not liking her.
  • 1. I think I'm the only person in the world that can't stand Adele. 2. I'm getting very impatient to be stronger and am trying not to obsess about it. 3. I worship the sun, but have to be coated head to toe in sunscreen. I love being outdoors every chance I get.
