1. I still sleep with a stuffed animal. Glo Worm to be exact. He always travels with me, he went to college, he has been to grad school, and he will be joining me when I travel to London this summer to finish my masters. 2. I have run a half marathon... and I would do it again. 3. My huge downfall in dieting is Moe's Queso…

PW 222.2 CW 221.0 Every pound gone is a good thing. This upcoming week will be tough due to a very hectic schedule. I think I might have one night where I can sit down and eat dinner at home and not at 10:00 at night.

Here is something I have been doing quiet a bit lately, mainly due to budget constraints. Chicken Burgers - ground chicken 4 oz (180 calories), some garlic seasoning, some bbq seasoning (just a few shakes, most will be under 50 calories even when used together). Put in a frying pan and cook till done. Sometimes i eat just…

Pw. 222.8 Cw. 222.2 Only half a pound. But then again I did not eat well all weekend. I am glad it wasn't a gain. I am going to do better this week!

Green Smoothies. Chop any kind of fruit you wish, throw it in a blender with some spinach or other leafy green. The great part is you can chop the fruit the night before and store it in the fridge if you are short on time. Just blend and you have breakfast. I take mine to go and drink it on the way to work and at my desk.

PW 223.8 CW 222.8 Again, i would have liked to lose a bit more, but I will take a pound down any day. I am approaching the teens which is exciting, I haven't been there in a few years, and then ONEderland!

I ran my fastest 5k yet. I did treat myself to a breakfast afterwards that you can only have if you have gone out and run. I probably ate more calories than I burned, but I did hit a goal that was important to me. Now that I am exercising more and eating better I am finding I have more energy, which is great. I was fairly…

I am preparing for the last semester of my Masters in Music Education. I am currently writing my DIS. Some of my coursework will include Behavior Management, Conducting, Comps, and a Literature class. I think my favorite classes I have taken throughout my career in school where my theory classes. After this degree I plan…

^^^ This is awesome. I can not tell you how happy that statement made me.

We started one at my work a few years ago. It started strong and fizzled out towards the end. You will want to have a coach of sorts that can give good advice and will run the weigh-ins. We made ours interesting, it was $1 per weigh-in per person. So every week you paid $1, and with a few people in the challenge in a few…

Awesome job green team! Keep up all the good work! There are people here that have lost more weight in one week than people on the Biggest Loser, and we are doing it in real life! That should count for something. Here's to an awesome week 3, and a big thanks to Pam for keeping up with all of this! I must go out for a run…

PW 226.8 CW 223.8 WhoooHooooo! Welcome all new team members! We got this! Go GREEN!
-
We can do it! I am looking forward to it. If you are able to, walk to the store, or to do a simple errand, this way you get things accomplished and you get exercise! It is a win-win, the only thing you will lose here is weight!
-
Welcome Green Team members! You all are going to do AWESOME! Go Green!

Well mine is my name followed by my favorite all interval tetrachord. Dorky, yes. Will I forget it, no.

Today I put a deposit down on my last semester of Graduate School which will be this summer in London! It will be my first trip out of the country. I am pretty excited!

I just finished my first one at Disney World this past weekend. Have a few 5ks planned but not another half yet.

SW 228 CW 226.8 My weight fluctuated a lot this week. I ran my first half marathon on Saturday and an still in the recovery process, which sometimes invloves a few pound gain due to the muscles repairing themselves). I have tried to be good about what I have been eating and my water intake. A pound lost is a pound lost! I…

Well for part 2 of this weeks challenge I am actually running a half marathon. Ok, I signed up for it in October so it just happens to fall on the challenge of something new week. Up until this point I have only participated in 5K, 4 mile, and 10K races. I am not a speedster by any stretch of the imagination, nor do I run…

I think it is motivating to be a part of something and have challenges. I am a competitive person and I do not like to fail, having people to keep me accountable is great. Being able to communicate here with others who are striving for the same goals, to lose weight and get healthy is a great group of support. I like the…

Completed undergrad at Stetson University. Finishing my Master's this summer from THE Florida State University! Go Noles!

Let's do this green team! Feel free to friend me if you wish, the more friends the merrier.
-
Go Green Team! We can do this!

I seem to lose and gain the same weight over and over. Feel free to add me so we can support and encourage each other.

For coffee there is Starbucks VIA in flavors. It does have some sugar in it, but it is pretty good and you can take it on the go.
-
I have had trouble with this too. I am a teacher and in all of my "spare time" I work at Starbucks, so I usually bring my half gallon jug to work with me and fill it up there. The tap water where I live is just like drinking out of a swimming pool. Otherwise I try to buy the gallon jugs from Walmart for about 60 cents. I…

I have found trying to drink a glass or two of water before snacking does the trick sometimes. But there are times that I am really craving something. On those nights where you know you will be watching TV and feel like snacking save up some extra calories.

I think this is a great idea! I love watching the Biggest Loser every week. Name: Kirsten I am a 28 year old teacher and graduate student working towards a master's degree. I have always had a junk food addiction of sorts and it has gotten out of hand. I am the type of person who is always going above and beyond for…
