Great book. :)

It honestly depends on the reason for divorcing - and I feel qualified to say that since I am divorced and remarried, as well. Most of the smack talk I read about divorce in this thread was about not taking marriage and the vows associated with it seriously. There are absolutely reasons that merit divorce and those…

I did not read all the way through the thread before responding, so I was glad to come across this post by the OP. I agree with the person who responded here and said that finding a way to get through the bad times is definitely something that will help you lifelong.

Age and length of time spent dating have nothing to do with your ability to commit to marriage. My grandma was 17 when she married my grandpa who was 18 (she lied about her age in order to marry him). They celebrated 64 years of marriage before she passed away. Oh - and did I mention that they met and got married 10 days…

ETA - He should definitely consult his doctor first, but here are some links I found. http://my.clevelandclinic.org/disorders/parkinsons_disease/hic_exercise_for_people_with_parkinsons_disease.aspx http://www.livestrong.com/article/100634-exercises-those-chair-bound/ Here is another link that has several links to various…

My lunches are pretty boring right now - salad mix, tuna, dressing for the most part. Snacks - string cheese, fresh fruits, greek yogurt, microwave popcorn (orville reddenbacher's simply natural - yum!), the occasional granola bar.

It depends on what you're waxing. The more tender the skin, the worse it hurts.

I am grateful for my amazing hubby who saw how stressed out I am about a few things right now and surprised me by scheduling a massage for me this coming Saturday morning! <3

Oh - a friend of mine just told me recently that her daughter was having trouble going, so she fed her a bunch of watermelon and that did the trick. I haven't had to use them in a while, but vegetable laxatives are much gentler on the system than other laxatives - no cramping or running to the bathroom. Taking one just…

I was diagnosed with IBS more than 10 years ago and fluctuated between not going and running to the bathroom prior to that for most of my adult life. Fiber actually stops things up with me - it does NOT help get things moving, so be careful with that. I manage my IBS with my diet and have found that there are certain…

^^ This. I don't have cheat days. I typically follow the 80/20 rule. I make sure 80% of what I eat (at least) is healthy and allow myself (up to) 20% of the stuff I love that isn't so great for me. It helps to find healthy alternatives to your favorite "sin" foods, too. Swapping out ice cream with frozen yogurt, or baked…

I deal with anxiety, but I have never had a full blown panic attack. I have found that there are a few things that really help me. If I start feeling super anxious, I do deep breathing exercises. I noticed on your profile that you used to smoke, so try using the same inhale/exhale that you would when you smoked. I used to…

^^ This would be my recommendation, as well.

If he's waiting up to 4 days at a time to respond, I would just give him a head's up that you're not renewing your account and see if he asks for a way to contact you outside of Match. I'm a firm believer in not making it too easy for a guy. (ducks as guys start throwing rocks at me). BTW - I live in a town that is much…

So I'm learning. LOL Who knew there was so much exercise science behind a hula hoop!?!?! Looks like I need to get hubby to make me a 42" weighted hoop from all that I'm reading here.

I'm think my signature would just be a W with a really pretty/swirly line after it. lol

Yeah, well, that's what you get for not eating back your exercise calories in fiber. Maybe you just shouldn't post on the forums if you can't handle it. :flowerforyou:

And no one is fighting. It's a record of some kind, I'm sure!

Va-Va is one of my sister's nicknames for me. Va-Va-Voom b/c I'm working on bringing sexy back. :)

I wanted to make sure I was going to commit to it before I spent any amount of money on a hoop. I was having trouble finding one that wasn't glittery or water-filled, too. But, Target has the traditional hoop in their outdoor section (by the patio furniture area) for pretty cheap. If I can get into a good groove of…

Thanks! Hubs was watching me do it last night and said I looked hot, but I think he was just being nice b/c looking like an epileptic hula hooper can't be that hot. lol

I *just* bought a hula hoop this weekend and busted it out last night to do some hula hooping! It kept falling, too, which was frustrating since I could go for what seemed like forever as a kid. lol I was wondering the same thing about cals burned. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to pop some popcorn and have a V8 (smacks forehead). Hopefully this NSV will lead to a scale victory! :)

I love this perspective!

Awesome post and great song!

Exactly. We have faith, but we also have free will. We still have to choose to do the right thing - it's not something automatic just because we believe.

Are they ever when it's a controversial topic? lol

SaraRT - you just reminded me that I forgot to buy gum on my lunch break. lol Thanks nonnalynn! I just keep telling myself that a muffin = muffin top (well, more of it, anyway lol).

It's both, IMO. :)
