Try McCormick's flavorings....pineapple, coconut, lemon, orange....just a drop....and yaaa to the pineapple and coconut....It's just like those pool side drinks with tons of calories.

I have to put my two cents in on this. First, you need to work with your child's doctor and map out a strategy, fine tuning along the way. Plan your child's meals ahead and if there is a few days you get a little nervous about the nutrition he/she is receiving, keep some Pediasure or another child approved supplement. For…

This morning I put 1 scoop of vanilla Lean1, 3 strawberries, 1/4 C of blue berries, 8 ice cubes, 1/2 C of FF milk and blended. It was a luscious berry thick shake that made me want to suck the straw to the last drop. For the choc flavored Lean1, I add 1 C of fresh kale, 1 pkg of Stevia which offsets the bitterness of the…

Sorry I messed up the quote...try cutting your potatoes into cubes. They are done when you can easily insert a fork. Timing depends on the size of the cube.

I'm not a fan of Dream Whip but I'll try this one. If you want a ready made choc mousse, Jello makes Chocolate Indulgence Mousse Temptations which is sugar free and 60 calories and 2 g of protein. Ingredients: Water, xylitol, cream, cocoa, modified cornstarch, gelatin, milk protein concentrate, salt sodium stearoyl…

I infuse 6 green tea bags in boiling water. I then add about a couple of quarts of cold filtered water, fresh lemon juice and TBS of Stevia in the raw. I put this in a large jug and keep in the frig for drinking all day.

I love kale in salads, soups and smoothies so I thought I would try kale chips....I used olive oil and some Cajun seasoning and a little sea salt. I have to tell you that these were nasty. The oven baking seemed to enhance the bitterness of the kale. They ended up in my garbage disposal. Thanks but no thanks.

I use a hearty beef or chicken stock to cook it in, then I sauté a cup of tri seasoning (celery, onions and peppers) ,1/4 C of pine nuts, TBS finely chopped garlic and some Zatarain's Creole Seasoning and 1/2 tsp Nature's Seasoning. Mix it all together and adjust seasoning to your liking.

forgot to add 1 C water for poaching.

I use the broiler pan and broil one side, flip over and do the other side. I remove and pat with paper towel. It is quite crispy.

Seared fresh tuna steaks with a little olive oil and removed. To the searing skillet, I added 2 TBS balsamic vinegar; 2 TBS brown sugar; 1 TBS Dijon mustard; 1/2 C chicken broth; 1/2 TBS soy sauce. Reduce sauce and add 1 TTBS cold butter and add tuna steaks flipping them side to side a couple of times, plate and top with a…

Folks I made quinoa for the first time today. I have to share my recipe because it really has a fantastic taste and 286 calories per serving. This recipe serves 3 but could serve 4 as a side. 1/2 C quinoa 1/2 C of tri seasoning (celery, onion and peppers) 1/2 C chopped mushrooms 1/4 C of pine nuts 1 TBS olive oil 1 TBS…

Re: 5 min brownie/ Just tried and I used egg white instead of whole egg. The only sugar sub I had was Stevia and here is my critique....It needs a whole egg for moisture...it came out very, very dry. The Stevia gave it a bitter taste so I think Sweet n Low would be better. I will try again in hopes of getting better…

My favorite way for any white fish is to spoon some medium salsa over the top, shake some Nature's Seasoning and add 1/2 tsp butter pad over each fillet. Sometimes I squeeze a little lemon joice on them if I have the lemons. Bake 350 until done.

Broil Tilapia on a bed of cooked spinach basted with lemon juice and olive oil. I use a little creole seasoning on mine.

Your honesty and difficult journey got my attention like a sudden stop sign. You have a nack for writing. Your narrative seemed to have written with a certain amout of ease. At least that is what I felt while reading it. It also affected me emotionally which is something hard to do. Maybe you could start a diary, writing…
