Evening to late-night are my danger zones as far as low willpower, self-control, and cravings. I've combatted that by eating lighter in the daytime that way I have more calories for dinner. If I really, really can't fight it, I'll have a bite of whatever I'm craving then go to bed early. Or I'll turn off the t.v.- those…

I cannot eat a thing when I'm stressed, worried, or upset. But I know that as the day goes on, I tend to ruminate on the problem and make myself more stressed. So, in order to make sure I'm getting at least some nutrients, I eat a big meal in the morning because I know that the likelihood of my eating anything else in the…

Unicorns are zero-calorie. And also, bald eagle tears. But only virgin bald eagle tears.

Take the time to understand why you overeat and to identify your triggers. Otherwise, you might lose all the weight, but until you truly understand what got you to where you are, you carry a high risk of gaining the weight back. Especially when eating is your go-to coping mechanism.

You've got this, I know it. Welcome :)

You can do this :)

My wedding is in March, and I'm afraid to try on dresses right now. I'm afraid I'll look like a cow, so I'm hitting it hard over the summer :)

I have 5 months left of being in my 20s, so that counts right??? :)

How terribly unfortunate for you, considering that, as women, our SOLE purpose in life is to attract a man based on nothing but our looks (that btw, must simultaneously appeal to every single man on the planet or we fail). Forget about her, you look great and she wishes she had the dedication to health that you do…

This has always been one of my biggest battles, because of the way I view my eating. I have been on a lot of diets, which all demanded that I eat certain things, label other things as "bad," never go above "x" amount of calories, etc. I still struggle, but I've made major improvements by adjusting my outlook. I don't use…

Hmm. Maybe I'll cut out my "long run" day and keep that as a second rest day, at least in the beginning. And 1600 IS a little low; I just recently raised it (MFP had me at 1200!) so I will most likely bump that up later, especially since I'm adding weight lifting:smile:

1. 6 x wk 2. "In place of a roadmap" thread & research with a nutritionist 3. I've lost 55 so far (in 1 year's time) and need to lose another 60 to be in a healthy weight range for my bone structure/height (per my doctor)

Mmmmm I'd eat a flip flop if it were chicken fried.

Ha that is awesome!

I try to log everything, even cheat meals, and we go balls to the wall on those. Since I used to eat whatever I wanted on the regular, with no regard to what I was actually putting into my body (helloooooooo 265 lbs!), I never learned the calorie/macro content of what I was eating. By logging my cheat meals now, I'm…

You can manually enter any exercise you want. Wear an HRM to get it as accurate as possible, then just add the calories burned and time.

I just finished Insanity (YAY!) and I stuck to my own macros (40/30/30) and -30% of my TDEE. I tried to stay with it at the 1280 that MFP was allowing me, but I didn't have the energy to give my workouts 100%. -30% of my TDEE gives me 1600 calories and I found that my workouts improved a TON after that. Even improved my…

I just finished the program his past weekend. After day #1, I was lying on the floor gasping for breath, and I had already taken a zillion breaks during the workout. You'll still take breaks throughout, but it's fun to push yourself and see how much further you can get than the last time. Your progress will astound you, I…

I tripped over my cat during globe jumps. I blame Shaun T.

Honestly, most people are so self-absorbed that, even if they did bother to give you two glances, they'd be back in their own world worrying about themselves (how they look, who they can beat on the treadmill, what they'll cook for dinner, etc.) within a minute and a half, guaranteed. So, rest in the comfort in knowing…

I just graduated (M.A. Clinical Psychology w/Emphasis in MFT). I went to school in Los Angeles and the other poster was correct… CA is the land of the MFT. The market is so saturated here, it's nuts trying to find an internship (traineeships are pretty easy). I moved out here from MO just for school, and now that I'm done,…

I've got my distance PR up to 4 miles even now (not bothering with speed right now). I'll be done with Insanity next weekend, then plan on picking up running again to see how much I can improve my distance by end of summer:glasses:

I have about 120 to lose, total. A little advice- Don't come in thinking about having to lose 100 lbs. Chunk your goals into small attainable ones that aren't overwhelming. My first goal is to hit 199 (started in June of last year) and I'm 9 lbs away :) You can do this, I know it!

If cilantro so much as touches anything on my plate, I feel the need to burn the entire kitchen table to the ground.

Amazing job!!!

God, your figure… Amazing!!!

I've lost 55 lbs so far, and have 70 left to go. I'm working on -30% of my TDEE (1600 calories/day), have about 2 wks left on Insanity, and I'm up to 4 miles pavement running (former couch potato!). Next will be P90X. We can do this

Awwwwwwww how adorable
