I had a 1 lb weight loss this week which puts me at 255 - I'm happy with that, but still working out the kinks. The first week I worked out every night for approximately 30 minutes and was within my calories (no less than 1200) even though I get like 1340 plus workout calories, which I don't typically eat all back. that is…

You are a shining star!!!! - Love you girl - Keep up the fantastic work - So proud of YOU!!! :flowerforyou:

Make sure you take a picture of you now and also try to have someone take your measurements. I did not do that when I started wholeheartedly at the end of October and even though the scale has only moved 14 pounds since then. I notice in every part of me that I am losing. I took measurements and a picture as of 1/1/11 and…

I was thinking about getting a Wii (Yes, we are behind the times) - then the 14 yo said we should get xbox with kinect instead - think I might go this route so the whole family can play and get active together on these cold Wisconsin nights - Thanks for pushing me in this direction

I started 10/25/10 and it took the first 4 weeks for me to lose the first 5 pounds. I was very disheartened because being I started at 270 pounds on that date I thought it would just melt off, just due to the fact that I was not eating junk. It took me time (and still learning) what works best for my body such as eating…

I am ecstatic that I am down 5 pounds. I did my Leslie Sanson video (at least 2 miles) every day this week thus far, except last night and you know, I had very restless sleep as I usually can only work out at about 7 pm, last night was not able to. Will make sure I kick it up a notch this weekend. I'm finding that with at…

My boyfriend thinks that I'm doing this so I can dump him after I lose all the weight - he says that is what women do! (we have lived together for 9 years). I told him that the only reason women do that is because their boyfriends treat them like dirt and they get the confidence of feeling better and healthier and sick of…

OMG - I got shivers reading your blog and looking at your pics!! - You look fantastic and so happy! - I'm so glad you overcame so many obstacles. Thank you for posting such an inspirational story!! - Here is to a Healthier New Year!!!

This journey to lose weight and be healthier is such a mental game (for me anyway) - I am fortunate in that my boyfriend does 90% of the grocery shopping. I just ask him to pick me up the things I know I need to pack my lunches for work and this works well. When I go, it becomes a challenge of reading the labels to try to…

I did well BETWEEN Christmas and New Year's, but now this week I'm hoping to the lose the 2-3 pound gain (sodium) AGAIN and get back on track!. I have not seen the scale move much, but I have gotten compliments that I look like I'm losing weight. I think it is because I'm feeling healthier in my own skin for the first time…

That is a fantastic attitude - stick with it!!! I have post-it's on my wall next to my desk where I sit all day with positive little tidbits 1 - I create myself with the choices I make each day! 2 - today is the day!!! 3 - (and my signature line) they really do help keep me grounded as to why I am doing this - it is not…

I have done weight watchers in the past - I didn't do bad on it, but actually found counting the points a lot harder than just logging my food on MFP. I did not like our meeting leader either; all she did was talked about what she did on the weekends. I was looking for motivation and ideas and that is exactly what I find…

I work 40 hours per week and then 10 hours on the road per week with my commute. I am up at 5 just to get ready for work and on the road and not home until 615 from work (especially if the roads are bad it could be later) - I do walk the stairs at work every chance I get just for a little boost during the day as I have a…

That is so awesome that you did that for your daughter. What a fantastic father. That is something she will have for a lifetime and know her father's love everytime she looks at it or listens to the song!! - You get a gold star!! (I just lost my dad suddenly this past August and that really touches my heart!!)

Refocus on your goals and why you want to attain them. We all want to throw in the towel from time to time, but you are worth the effort!! If you can plan your day's eating ahead and up your protein that definitely helps keep me fuller longer and lots of ice water all the time. I carry a big bottle with me and am…

I just have to say first of all WOW - YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!! - Your hard work has definitely paid off!! - Secondly, THANK YOU for the post, it is seeing progress like yours that helps keep ME motivated!!! - Don't undo all that you have done!!! - You can do it and so can I!!! :drinker: (this little guy is drinking all water…

we went out for a holiday dinner the other night and I just made sure I got a little workout in the morning even if it is just 15-20 minutes and I ate a few less calories during the day - I ordered tenderloin and baked potato and was so full I couldn't even finish my steak. I actually came in at or below my calories for…

Climb to the highest point I can find and scream at the top of my lungs in VICTORY!!! and then sit down and cry - LOL :)

I have tried so many "diets" in the past only to fail at them all - It is totally a mental change after eating whatever you chose to put in your mouth before. this time you are just trying to make better choices. The first step for me was no chips or ice cream - only because I ate them like there was no tomorrow - I had a…

Congrats on your "journey" - I'm in the same boat with the 100 or so to lose...My boyfriend is type II diabetes and thinks he can eat pretty much whatever he wants (until his last doctor's appt). He is going to be 40 in February and is realizing that he needs to start taking care of himself. I can't get him to exercise…

I just had to add - my boyfriend always said he likes a little meat with his potatos (referring to the size of women)- although I was 30 pounds lighter when we met and now one of the gals we know had gastric bypass and looks awesome to me. He said she is way too skinny. Gotta love him. Then when I started this journey…

I just got done doing 3 miles of the 5 mile fat burning walk - I also love the fast and firm 4 really big miles - no one can tell me these are not a workout - I drip sweat every time I do them, but I have a lot of weight to throw around. They are great because they are easier on my joints...LOVE THEM!!!
-
GREAT POST!! - Keep up the great work. I could not agree more. Even though my weight loss (100+ to lose) is slow I too am enjoying all of the side effects that this change in lifestyle has bestowed upon me. Saturday night we took my mom out for dinner and she was sitting next to me as I was munching on pea pods and…
