  • some people have no finesse  My neighbor saw me the other day and said "wow, you really look pregnant now, you're filling up!". I was sitting in the passenger seat of the car and my husband was driving. We stopped to say hello because she was going for a walk and have not seen her in weeks. Imagined if she would…
  • I grew up eating black beans almost everyday (I'm Dominican). I like to pour it on white rice, it's yummy! Right now one of my cravings is Panchero's burrito bown with black beans. I have to eat it once a week and my husband gives in.
  • I don't really have a favorite way, I love eggs!!! I had an egg sandwich for dinner yesterday and a western egg white in a whole wheat english muffin for breakfast. I could probably eat eggs everyday
  • I hate Paps, but faithfully get one done every year. I had my 28 weeks appointment this morning and everything looked great. I also had an ultrasound and received a cd of the 3d pictures. It's amazing how clear her features look. I can see her little nose, eyes, cheek, mouth, etc. She's super cute, of course :smooched: I…
  • Angela that's great news, I'm having mine done tomorrow :) I can't believe you found a changing table for $20, that's cool:glasses: We spent a lot of money on all our furniture, my husband is weird about that. He thinks the kids will take their whole bedroom set when they grow up and move out  I just let him be.
  • I have an ultrasound, doctor's appointment, and glucose test tomorrow at 7:30 am! prepreganancy weight: 138 lbs current weight: 164 lbs pregnancy gain: 26 lbs yikes! • I recently tried hummus with pita chips at costco and bought a pack of 12 individual snack packs (2 tablespoons each). It's a pretty tasty snack! and very filling.
  • I practice yoga, walk and do zumba. The yoga poses that are not recommended for pregnancy are twists and inverted poses (like downward dog) for a long time. I did the downward dog until about last month, now I use a chair. For zumba, I don't jump but I dance as comfortably as I can, it's so much fun. Walking, I go at a…
  • Angela - did you see my last June post? I was wondering, it's about gestational diabetes. challenge question - I'm pregnant with our 4th child (my husband had a boy before we got married). We have not discussed closing the factory :blushing: I think I'll like to have 5, if God so chooses to bless us.
  • Angela - I had gestational diabetes with my first child 13 years ago. She was born 10. 7 lbs. and my placenta was the size of a newborn. I had two glucose tests done: the first one was high and the 2nd one was normal, but apparentely I still had it. I went up to 176 lbs and a week after I had her I was down to 138 lbs. It…
  • I'm at 163 lbs. I'm also stressing about my weigh, but that doesn't stop me from eating whatever I want :flowerforyou: I was 138 lbs before pregnancy, so that puts me on a 25 pounds gained at 27 weeks and I still have a lot to go. I exercise and feel healthy. With my other two pregnancies I gained about 50 lbs and my kids…
  • I used to be able to walk at 3.5 to 4.0 mph on various incline on the threadmill, but now I can only go as fast as 2.8 for a while and then down to 2.5 mph. That's why I walked an hour to make up for the difference, I guess it's better than nothing. I was getting pain before I slowed down, how fast do you walk?
  • did you noticed that the three of us are wearing pink tops? I think we look great :glasses: I just walked for one hour and feel pumped!

  • Your home, your rules. His parents should know better and if they are your friends, then they should talk to him about abiding by your rules. You should not have to entertain a 9 year old. TV time should be restricted and perhaps he can pick 2 to 3 favorite shows and follow a schedule of other activities, like reading,…
  • Childcare is one of the toughest and most important decisions you ever going to make . I've had good experiences and bad experiences. With my first one,I was able to stay home her first year and then her dad and I had oppossite schedules. That was 13 years ago! My second one was born in June 2007, which was great for me…
  • I had my 24 week appointment last Thursday and only gained two pounds this month! I hope I can keep the trend. I have gained 20 lbs so far and stil have the rest of my pregnancy to go. Everyone says I look great, but I feel pretty "big". I'm only 5'2", so 158 lbs really shows. I'm hoping now that school's out I can focus…
  • That's funny! I have been feeling the same way afetr I eat a meal or snack. Also, I started getting heartburn and hate it, specially at night when I'm ready for bed. I don't even eat before going to bed, so I don't know ehay I get it after I'm laying down.
  • Angela - I think you look very cute on your picture:flowerforyou: . I also like the food posts, they're very interesting (I would pass on the achovies, though) The one thing i want to buy with this baby is a swing/glider. I just never thought I would need one, but now with a toddler and a baby, i will probably use it.
  • Hi everyone! I have been MIA for a while. There's 4 days of school left and the past few weeks has been filled with assessments and getting my room ready. I have to pack all the second grade materials, since I'll be teaching first grade next year. I can't wait for summer vacation. I'm 155 lbs. this week

  • Thanks everybody! My new baby girl is going to share a room with her two year old sister Arianna. I have tons of girl things from when Arianna was a baby. Their room is decorated with horses and fairies :flowerforyou: We went shopping for a big girl bed for Arianna today. I wanted something with drawers under it, since we…

  • Fawkws, thanks for stretching legs in bed tip. i will try that next time. So I had my 20 weeks appointment yesterday and the scale showed 156 lbs. I freaked. That would be a 10 pound gain in their books in a month! Granted, it was at 3pm, after i had lunch and snacks. I usually weigh myself in the mornings before taking a…
