  • Mine have been hitting at 100-150 daily, but the bulk of it is from fruits and Greek yogurts. Good luck!

  • I agree with most - calories may not equal healthy. Ensure that at least half your plate is full of steamed, raw, or cooked without butter/cheese/sauce veggies and/or a decent sized salad; a healthy grain for 1/4; and a healthy protein for 1/4. Good luck!
  • I'm planning a trip to Goodwill soon myself! And I've got my bonus from work socked away for that BIG shopping spree when I reach my final goal. I was initially aiming for my 40th birthday, but it'll now be the end of next year due to some health setbacks. Achievable now!
  • That's beautiful!
  • Feeling comfortable in a bikini....and wearing a dress I wore almost 20 years ago again!
  • I've just never been a huge fan of adding salt to the foods I make - though I did used to enjoy fast food which I've cut way down on. I'll try to add some sea salt to some of my entrees and see if that helps. And maybe switching to G2 (or one of the other suggested beverages on this thread) while working out will help too.…
  • For the time being, weights and Zumba are off of my routine. I had a serious flare-up of costochindritis in February, and pinpointed it to both of these activities. So walking, jogging (eventually running - I hope!), bicycling, swimming, yoga, and Pilates are my workouts of choice.
  • Thank you! And good luck to you too!
  • I get a tad lightheaded after cardio despite drinking water.
  • I look for fresh veggies (specifically broccoli, cauliflower, corn, and beans) when they're on sale. I then cut them up, and freeze them in containers. I may spend a bit more those weeks, but it is so worth it to me to enjoy quality produce than getting the processed items. Oh - and with a decent sale, I spend roughly…
  • AMEN! I had that mindset for a while too - no one else around is supporting me, they're not doing what I'm doing, blah blah blah... Then I put myself first. I may have some struggles (see my recent post about BP issues), but I'm willing to do this all for me. You're right, support is nice. But when you are willing to make…
  • Thanks for all the great suggestions! I love the support that this site brings!
  • I may have to try that - especially with eating fruits more heavily lately. THANKS!
  • I've been having some salt within my dinners, but my breakfast has been fruit with Greek yogurt and granola, and lunch has been a nice veggie salad with fat free dressing. Snacks have been granola bars or something carbohydrate filling. With all of that - my during the day sodium intake has been running at around 500-750.…
  • Thanks for the input!
  • I actually grabbed some Gatorade today - but will pick up some G2 when I head to the store tomorrow. Thanks!
  • That may do the trick for me too - though I think my one kiddo gives me stress enough! HA HA!
  • Not quite feeling that bad yet, just a little lightheaded though. Thanks for the input!
  • Not quite to that point yet - just trying to get some feedback right now. Thanks!
  • It's been averaging out to about 1500 mg per day - before eating something salty that is. I was a long distance runner in high school (ran track and cross country for 4 years, plus ran for "fun" with friends on weekends/off seasons.
  • I'm 39 years old, 5'2.5", and my initial goal weight is 160 pounds (will recalculate once I get there). My starting weight was 218.2, and I'm currently at 210.8. Hope this helps! Oh - congrats on baby too!
  • Much too low in my opinion. My MFP calorie goal is 1240 pre-exercise (I have mine set as sedentary, but am always moving my seat at work, plus on my feet outside of here a lot). So I can comfortably eat to 1400 calories and lose weight (again, not including exercise calories). Edit - I'm 5'2.5", 39 years old, and currently…
  • I have a question - you initially stated that you eat organic, but here you state tomatoes as a natural ingredient. So do you eat any tomatoes or only those stated organic?
  • I completely agree!
  • I had a habit of stopping at getting a McDouble at least 2-3 days per week on my way home for dinner, figuring it's no big deal. I didn't gain a lot of weight, but I felt so sluggish and drained. Now if I know I'm getting fast food (a recent trip to Ohio left me with little choice when my planned lunch that I packed got…
  • This sounds delicious!
  • My grandma used to make these delicious strawberry rhubarb ice pops. She'd crush up strawberries and rhubarb (I'd recommend blending them together though), and throw in just a touch of milk. As a kid I remember them being so good, and they're relatively low in calories too! Here's a recipe for them -…
  • ^^ This nearly to a T. ^^ I do indulge once in a great while (or most recently when I traveled on vacation - very limited choices to/from our destination). That being said, I try to deviate towards grilled or steamed items as often as I can. Be very wary of salads - they can be more fat and calories than many meals! When…
  • Yes, I eat breakfast nearly every day. My go to breakfast choices for during the workweek are fruit mixed with greek yogurt topped with some granola, oatmeal (better oats or steel cut oats) with a serving of fruit, cereal with milk and some fruit, or a breakfast sandwich (less often these days). On the weekends, it varies…
  • Bring your child into the workout with you. Jump rope together, play in the yard, go for a bike ride. You don't need to invest in a lot of equipment to get a good workout - just be creative.
