Good choices yesterday. Went out today for an easy run. Came home, had coffee, took a shower and got a bloody nose again. At least it's not gushing blood but just kind there.
-
Very slow, easy 3 miles today. Easing back in!
-
Been a weird month. Only at 22 miles so going to adjust goal and aim for 45, about half of my original goal.

@swenson19d PT seems to be sloooooowly helping. I can almost see under my arm pit to shave & put on deodorant π€£ Today's small victory: I had to go into the office to finish an I9 verification. My supervisor always has chocolate in her office. I normally eat 2-3+ servings during my in office day. I resisted having any! Iβ¦

Hey everyone! Well, April has been... interesting. But I'm back and my goal is to lose some weight in the next 6 weeks. I started a slow comeback after Yeti 24 hour run. It's been slower than planned. Last Saturday I got a bloody nose (stupid allergies and dry air) after 1.5 miles so walked home. This Monday I had myβ¦

It hasn't been a week and I'm bored with Hal again. Or maybe I'm bored with 2 mile runs. π€£ I'm trying to read Hanson's Marathon Method and plan to use their Just Finish plan which means I'm with Hal or on my own until June. 2 miles today. 14 for the month and 299.6 for the year. 299.6! I should have went 2.4 today hahahaha
-
@shanaber I'm waiting for summer watermelon π π @swenson19d if it's not a relative, unfriend. Relative? Unfollow. That way you don't see their *kitten* BUT don't offend them when they realize you unfriended them π

@quilteryoyo The app is based on the race date. Mine is so far out & I do need to build back slowly after Yeti Challenge so I'm trying to be patient. I added a run last week and I'll probably add 2 this week. He gave me Friday & Sunday off because I have a 5k Saturday.
-
@ddmom0811 I saw today they were doing another Scooby Doo run. I am not putting together a group again. That was too much work! So no code or anything here.
-
Hal called for 2 miles today and I actually listened. My legs however acted like they did not understand this whole running thing. 12 ish miles for the month. Have I mentioned I hate base building? 2 miles barely seems worthwhile. Hal has me taking 2-3 days off per week (I prefer only 1 day off). I may end up dropping himβ¦

@shanaber I have drank peppermint tea in the past for upset stomach. I think it helps. Well, I lost what I gained so still not really a loss lol
-
So it's like you didn't even run! πππ
-
Yup, just gotta put in the work! I think I'm going to add back in some lower body bodyweight exercises. I can't do weights or upper body but I can do squats and lunges and stuff.
-
Looks like I've lost pretty much everything I gained in March. I put a reminder on Google calendar to weigh in each Saturday. It worked today lol I also did measurements. Most are the same as the beginning of March. One was up a bit but I was also struggling with my shoulder to get the tape to lay flat. π€·πΌββοΈ

Hal has me doing low mile base building with Sun/Mon off. I'm gonna go against him and run on Sundays anyway. Anyway, a 5k this morning. 5.1 miles for April so far. I was gonna post a couple of photos but MFP is being weird.

Awwwwwww so cute! πππ

Virtual is the only way I'll ever run Boston haha I'm not fast enough & I could never fund raise enough. Started the month today. 2 miles. Legs were still heavy & tired.
-
Ended at 99.05 miles. I meant to go out last night but just too tired.
-
It's virtual. Totally ok.
-
Aiight, ya girl has signed up for virtual Boston. Now I'm off to find a plan. Or write my own. Undecided.
-
I would probably use Boston as training for the Ultra. The problem is I don't know what I want π€£ I keep changing my mind every 6 months or so. I've been a little lost since I broke my leg and lost my coach (unrelated other than chronologically).
-
I'm debating virtual Boston now. Send help lol π
-
So Yeti was my big event for 2021. I've got a couple short trail races this spring and probably in the fall too. Plus a couple of virtual runs (Pat's Run series for Pat Tillman). What do I do now? I'm reading Fast 5k, do I want to focus on speed (when my shoulder heals so I can pump my arms lol)? Or do I think about a realβ¦

I used to drink so much more. But I'm lazy and don't want to fuss with everything π€£ I just saw that Kona Joe Coffee has opened in Vegas. I think they are only roasting there now. I hope they do mail order or even if they sell in Vegas I would make a trip. Some of the places we looked at in Hawaii had coffee plants. I can'tβ¦

Um, I don't know my plan or goal yet. I need at least 85 miles so that's my must hit but I like to get to 100 because it's a nice number.
-
I think all trails in Phoenix are technical. π€£ Some downhill portions have scared the *kitten* out of me. I carefully pick my way down those.
-
@swenson19d Usually about 2.5 cups. I used to make 8 cups in the coffee pot (about 3 big mugs) but since being home & having to share the pot woth DH it's a little less. Sometimes I make afternoon coffee but usually I'm lazy & just have a diet coke.
-
This is my thought as well.

Rest day yesterday & today. Between my bad shoulder, vaccine, and 30 miles all my limbs were sore yesterday. Thighs & vaccine arm feeling much better today. Still a bit tired today. I'm sitting at 99 miles for march (45 of them this past week lol) so I'll go out tomorrow & Wednesday for a few miles to get past 100.
-
Well, I guess technically I'm an ultrarunner. 30 miles in 24 hours. Total run time 6 hours 9 minutes and 51 seconds. And about 3 hours and 45 minutes of sleep
