Wow, this turned into a popular topic! :D Thanks for the replies... So far we have a count of 13 for waxing vs 41 against. Looks like I get to keep it! Thanks for all the kind words regarding my progress too. Just FYI, no back or shoulder hair here! :)

Keep going at that rate and they'll start mistaking you for Michael Cera! Great job man.

What a transformation

Incredible job, keep it up!
-
Damn bro, great job!

Fantastic job! And why would you be sorry about the underwear pics? ;) Seriously though, impressive results!

Thank you. I gave up beer all together, I enjoy it WAY too much, and when I do, my food decision making skills go down the toilet. However over the past 4 months I've had a wedding, my birthday, thanksgiving, xmas, and new years all to contend with. At each one of those I strayed from my diet, and those are the only times…

I'd put down the insanity (and all cardio for that matter) for 10 days to 2 weeks and just do strength training instead, completely mix it up, do something your body has never done or hasn't done in a long while, and then go back to the cardio and see what happens.
-
Thanks man, that's the plan. For strength training I've started p90x again. Everything I do is at least 15-20 reps as I'm still at a calorie deficit and trying to lean out before I worry about bulking at all.

The problem is that you're a redwings fan... GO DUCKS! :D I kid, I kid... for me, the hardest and probably most effective thing I've done is cut out beer all together. I love beer, it's fantastic, but the more I read about it, the more i realized it was holding my weight loss back. I suggest moving to a cocktail (vodka and…

I can't speak for "people" but for me, the simple fact that I have a handy, easy to use iphone app with calorie counts for virtually every food out there, made it easy for me to pay attention to every single thing I put in my body and know exactly how much I ate/burned each day rather than guessing.

I can definitely relate. There was a time in my life where every waking hour I either had a coke or a beer in my hand depending on whether I was working or not. I've switched to unsweetened iced tea. I still get the caffeine, it took some time to get used to it but definitely has payed off. Now that I haven't had coke in…

Thanks so much for the kind words ladies! I think I will take your advice and continue to strive for my goal of 150 and re-evaluate there. #1 culprit of that belly was beer. I haven't touched the stuff since September.

as long as the picture is hosted online somewhere and you have a url for it then paste it here with at the end, but replace IMG with lowercase img (I used uppercase so it would show)

Lived all over So-Cal... SD, OC, LA, currently in the SCV. Welcome!

Awe yeah! I was at game 5 in '07 when we won the cup! :)

Great job! That is a serious feat even to finish. I hope to run one myself in the next year or so.

Leaf's are OK I guess, I'm a Detroit hater though, boo! Go Ducks!
-
I was going to get myself a new motorcycle in March after I got my bonus to reward myself for all the hard work I've put in this year (and for going 3 years without a speeding ticket :D ) but I think I shall make myself wait until I've reached my goal weight too, just as a little added extra motivation. Although, I have a…

Get a heart rate monitor... more accurate than the website estimates since it's based on your own body and works while you're doing anything!

40 pounds = a 5-gallon bottle of water or an average human leg!
-
Probably not since those 10 lbs per person would still likely be in the same relative geographic location just as other things. Waste, compost, uneaten food etc. At least for the immediate future for the purposes of your grandfathers question assuming it were somewhat rapid and concentrated weight loss. Matter is matter it…

I've tried it... I mean, I just watch it for the articles... I mean... dammit. I'm a fan :)

Well my weight on Christmas morning was actually up to 165,, so I finished the challenge at 16.5 lbs down from the start. Not quite 20 but not too shabby either. Now to get rid of this Christmas weight. Who's up for 10 lbs by feb 1?
-
I have no idea what my final balance was all I know is that I failed this challenge miserably and went wayyy over. This challenge has taught me something though. It may not be this way for everyone, but for me, sugar has an enormously addictive quality... I hadn't really had any over the previous 3 months amd i didnt…

Argh! That stuff is too good, had another cookie. 850
-
Ugh, more home baked goodies in the office. This time I had one cookie and one Brownie... the cookie was prob 100 cals and I'm guessing the brownie was at least 150 I'm down to 950 now.

There is no scientific merit behind this observation, but in my personal opinion, the meat quality at Qdoba seems to be a little better than Chipotle... but when I go to either (or wahoo's) I get a salad with beef or chicken (no tostada) and just loads of pico de gallo... works out to around 300 cals for the beef, a little…

Well, my lovely employee Kathy brought me home baked goods for xmas... A tin of about 15 assorted cookies. I had to try one of each (oatmeal, peanutbutter, and chocolate chip)... they are pretty small but I'm going to estimate about 100 cals each so I'm down to 1200 now.

I know, I hate to rest when I'm on a roll though :) BTW, LOVE your profile pic, hilarious
