  • Chest hair is awesome, I absolutely love it. Can't stand a guy who shaves his body hair. A ton of back hair is gross but that's really rare. Chest hair, arm hair, leg hair, facial hair, all are great.
  • Paying a trainer is expensive but for me it was worth it. After my sessions were over I gained all the weight back in 2 months. My trainer really pushed me a lot harder than I thought I was capable even though I thought I'd been working hard before. And if you still have a lot of weight to lose you might not like how a…
  • If they are good designer name brands you may have a consignment store in your area who will pay you for them. Not a lot but better than nothing. And my experience with ebay is you get very little for even designer name clothes if they are more than slightly used.
  • Obviously everyone's body is different. Probably the worst thing you can do is eat super low calories-below 1200 a day for more than a few days at a time. Whatever you are doing must be working since you've lost 34 lbs already.
  • Calisthenics is a good catch-all for mixed workouts like that.
  • Never. The numbers on a tape measure frustrate me more than the number on a scale. I just look in the mirror and know I'm not losing inches.
  • I was very pretty and thin in my 20's and it got me nowhere. I was also very stubborn and independent and didn't want help from anyone so when people would offer me jobs I wouldn't take them b/c I thought I could do it on my own but that turned out to be wrong as I'm in a worse place financially now than I was 10 years ago…
  • Don't waste your money on "conventional" produce unless it's something that's hard to find as they charge twice as much as regular grocery stores for the same non-organic products. Agreed about the bulk items, french green lentils, black lentils, quinoa, just a great section overall.
  • Cooking and freezing meals on the weekends will free up some time during the week. Looks like the only time you have to workout is weekends and lunch breaks. That's going to be rough. I don't envy you.
  • I like to keep the skin on mostly because it's supposed to be more nutritious and has all the fiber but my bf read somewhere that the skin is "toxic" and doesn't want to eat it anymore. Not sure how accurate that claim is because I've always read it has all the vitamins.
  • I recently attended a wedding where the bride didn't look all that great while the groom was really hot and thought THAT WILL NOT BE ME. I'm not planning a wedding but in the 4 years I've been with my bf I've gained 20 lbs while he's gained 5. I have trouble maintaining motivation seemingly no matter what the goal or…
  • Those Nivea cellulite creams smell so bad you won't care if they work or not. I'm 5'3 and was down to 132 last summer and I wore a bikini to the pool and my cellulite wasn't that noticable because in summer sunlight there are less shadows to accentuate the cellulite. Back up to 140 this year and out of shape again but am…
  • I don't know anything about endometriosis but have known a lot of people who have had it who would have been willing to offer advice. A more detailed title to your post will bring more readers. Instead of just Frustrated which is where most of us are anyway something like Endometriosis pain sufferer may bring more replies.

  • If you are working out that much you might actually need to eat a bit more. At your height, weight, and age there can't be much to lose. Most people would love those numbers.
  • I work in a bar where my looks are crucial to my tips and my tips have gone down significantly the last few years. Comparing a photo from 10 years ago to pictures I've taken the last 2 years really shows the extra 25 lbs and I'm just embarassed every time I go to work now but can't quit yet b/c the money is still good and…
  • I admit that I've been this way when I was younger. As I kept gaining weight with no kids and had a friend get in amazing shape after 5 kids and see her confidence increase while mine was getting worse and needless to say we are not friends anymore as I am still jealous of her success and embarassed by my own failure.
  • Everyone's brains work differently and it's important to find what works for you based on your own past experience and behaviors. If I don't weigh myself nearly every day I will gain 5 or 10 lbs without even noticing. At least watching it closely I can see what works for me or what my regular fluctuations are or if I'm…
  • I have a relative who used to tell me I was too skinny and needed to eat. As I got older and became overweight now she tells me I look pregnant b/c of the weight I've gained. Some people just have to have an opinion on you because that's how they are. Just say Ok thanks and do what you want to do.
  • A lot of us seem to be forgetting that cellulite is prevalent among women and SIGNIFICANTLY influenced by genetics. I've known 20 year olds in amazing shape with cellulite and 40 year olds with none. I'm only 15 lbs overweight and have cellulite literally EVERYWHERE on my body due to genetics. It does get better when I…
  • I do this with yogurt, bananas, fruit and/or juice and you can hardly taste the spinach or lettuce and no one ever believes me when I tell them "I eat salad".
