I've seen Flying Dog in WV....think I got a variety pack of that last year, but gave it to my father in law, while I clung onto the Yuengling. That stuff is impossible to find in WA!

Chrisdavey - thanks, very helpful information Sara - I am wanting to drop into the 56kg class. I usually weigh about 127lb, so I would need to lose 5-7lbs to be confident I could make weight. (sadly - with TOM bloat, I am pushed into the 67.5kg class - which blows, so I have to remember to lose enough to account for any…

Best thread. Ever. I have some chocolate peanut butter cup powder in the cabinet. And some Deschute's Black Butte Porter in the fridge. Maybe a weekend experiment? :drinker: Any Sweet Baby Jesus is a MD brew? You think they sell it in WV; I will be going back in a couple months?

In for bulking. Did a short bulk last winter - Jan to the April to test the waters before doing a long bulk. I put on about 5lb over 12 weeks. Working on cutting the fat as low as I can comfortably cut this summer before I start bulking again in September. I upped my calories by 200 and held for a week to moniter weight…

The particular program I am running right now, KISS Total Body (from Nia Shank's Beautiful Badass) starts with two sets of five for each move (so strength oriented) and then two sets of 10 (more hypertrophy work). It's kind of like the best of both worlds, but it does involved barbells. :ohwell:

Dried fruits and nuts (trail mix). We had minifridges and microwaves in one dorm. We weren't really supposed to have them - but a lot of students had foreman type grills or something like this http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-GR-4N-5-in-1-Griddler/dp/B002YD99Y4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372173472&sr=8-1&keywords=5+in+1+grill…

great work! 100 days is something to be proud of; keep up the good work!

You got some really good information in the last topic that you posted. It has been suggested that you learn proper form and execute compound barbell lifts, such as squats and deadlifts, while eating at a deficit in order to drop some body fat to create more defined and shapely quads, hammies, and glutes. Read something…

I will try to be good - I have an overnight trip to "little bavaria" planned at the end of next week with the in-laws and have planned to consume large amounts of imported german beer and fresh sausages. :drinker:

So, I had a deficit of 1856 calories, averaging out to 1814 calories/day. This is what my weight did from the 3rd to the 16th and I have been a slightly over the past few days, leading the weight to creep back up to around 129. I fluctuate a lot and its really hard for me to tell what a real loss is and what is fluid…

Yes to this. Also, since I have to do batch cooking on Sundays for the workweek lunches, I have been trying to throw in some dinners as well, since the over is hot, etc. Meatballs and marinara is a good one, freezes well and just have to boil the pasta. Most soups. I also do large batches of cooked ground turkey and beef.…

Yes, it should last you about six months if you complete all phases.

I got the weight bug after doing 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30. I wanted something that was equally challenging but with fewer moves, which meant heavier weights. I purchased New Rules of Lifting for Womem. I moved on after doing the first stage a couple times because I like the big, compound, simple moves and NROL4W was…

I need to read this; once a week at least. Thanks for posting.

I am curious why it is so hard in MFP to find raw, whole food. Like potato, put that in and you have to search for potato. Same with pineapple of other fruits, etc. The whole, raw version of the food should be the first thing that comes up, not a bunch of other crap that might have a potato in it. /rant

I probably should have asked sooner, 1800kc net or gross? Ive been eating a flat 1800kc and my net comes in a lot lower than I am used to. Thanks!

My favorite leafy green! Boiled w/a little salt and butter Saute with Olive Oil, Garlic, and Crushed Red Pepper Flake Use in place of spinach in any recipe Debating on whether "chard chips" would be good - you know, like kale chips!

I wear tactical pants and polos everyday, along with black combat boots and my hair pulled back in a bun. I am authorized some makeup and jewelry (must be "natural" looking and not distract from the overall appearance of the uniform). We do, however, have casual Fridays, but then its just jeans and a nice t-shirt and…

Thanks for the kind works and support everyone. I hope that I can inspire others to work towards fitness goals and keep going, even if there is no scale change or you feel like "it isn't working". Dedication, persistence, and patience! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/819055-setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets…

I didn't really drop inches either...maybe like a half inch around the hips and a smidgen in the calves. If anything I have gained inches in a couple areas, but feel like the composition has changed for the better. In my case, the scale is the devil and tape measures don't even show me adequate progress. If I just weighed…

Great work!

Thanks SideSteel, You are right about mental health being important - I need to find a balance between logging my intake and maintaining sanity when I am out and about with measuring tools! I am sort of shocked that you find my intake high; I seemed to think it was on the low end of other lifting ladies - who are…

Just realized we are about the same height/weight. I am 5'6.5 and fluctuate between 125-130, around 18%BF

*Headdesk* ETA: You won't get bulky lifting. Ever. Ask any of the ladies who have tried to get bulky on purpose - its tough work. Eat and lift; you will lose fat and gain definition. ETA II: I have ran a short bulk, will be doing another full bulk in the fall. Am I bulky?
