Logging consistently and being honest about my logging. I've cut calories before but the weight loss never stuck until I committed to logging my calories. I think the biggest eye opener for me was that I didn't have to severely limit my food intake. I could still eat what I loved (in smaller portions) and lose weight. That…

Just found this thread. I'm in because this is how I've been eating for two years. Normally my go-to is chocolate. Every day I have a handful of chocolate covered almonds - YUM -. But yesterday it was cake and ice cream because it was my daughter's birthday.

All of those are on my list plus more. I will eat carrots but only raw. And I will choke down corn if I have to. But I love fruit. Any kind of fruit. Oh and I'll eat spinach. But that's about all I'll eat in the vegetable category.

Holy cow! You look great! And where are you going to lose another 10 pounds from? I think you're perfect.

I don't get this. We're omnivores. We're made to eat meat.

I look at my calories on a weekly basis as well as a daily. That way if I have a bad eating day and am over on calories then I can see on a weekly level I haven't ruined everything. However, I never go below 1200 calories on any day. I say if you're feeling fatigued and having problems with memory on your 1,000 calorie day…

Wow! You look amazing!!!! Congratulations!

If I want healthy then I'll do a sub place (DeBella's or Jimmy John's, etc) and get a turkey on whole wheat. If I do Chick-fil-A then I'm getting the #1 with fries and will exercise more or eat less the rest of the day. Chipotle is a good place to eat pretty healthy too, although I never eat healthy at Chipotle.

Awww. You got me

I haven't lost yet since I've been lifting and it's been several months. However, I have lost inches and I went down a pants size. I decided to stop worrying about the scale and concentrate on PR's in the gym.

Believe it or not I work in the beauty industry--makeup, not hair.

Don't feel stupid. Dr Oz is the one who should feel stupid.

No, no, no, no. First you need to put it in a blender and then drink it three times a day for four days.

I'm jealous of most of you. I have to wear black. Seriously. All solid black. Black slacks/skirt, black shirt and black third piece (a sweater, suit coat, or cardigan). We always have to have three pieces on. Black shoes. They can be open toed April 1 - Oct 31. Other than that they have to be closed toed. Occasionally the…

I have short hair and love it. When I got it cut short people said I looked like I lost weight and looked younger. Only occasionally do I have pony tail envy.

I only have 5 friends on Fitbit. I don't even know how to add friends. The only thing I can see is to add them through email. I'm such a loser

I set smaller goals. For instance when I first started I just wanted to lose 5 pounds so my jeans didn't fit so tightly. When I reached that goal I decided I could afford to lose another 5 pounds. When I reached that I decided I could do 10 pounds and so on. It worked well for me to look at it in small increments. I didn't…

Yeah, Fitbit does the same thing for me. For instance my deficit last week was 223 calories. I took the calories that I logged into MFP and the calories that Fitbit said I burned and came up with that number. When I received my weekly report Fitbit said my calorie deficit was 930 calories. I know that's wrong. I think it…

Not at all. If you do the right kind of lifting (bench presses, squats, dead lifts, barbell rows, etc) it will strengthen your core (all of those ab muscles and back muscles). A strong core gives you good posture, helps prevent injuries and helps with back pain. Plus it gives you that six pack.

Amazing! What great dedication!

My first thought was that this is mental. My friend's daughter had something similar and she ended up seeing a psychologist about it who helped her through it. If your practitioner has ruled out everything else maybe a trip to the psychologist?

This is what I got out of it too and I wholeheartedly agree.

Nearly 30 pounds lost and the girlfriends have not changed a bit. Still wearing the same size bra and I really wanted to get out of the DDs. You can't find any cute bras in a DD

I just had a peanut butter truffle brownie. It was delicious. And I still considered the peanut butter a source of protein. Okay, not really.... But did I say it was delicious?
